This property is ideally located and is close to all the great attractions and entertainment you could want. Trolley service is close by and makes this an easy city to get around. The hotel is quaint, quiet, and a great value for the money.

We spent 3 nights at the Bienville. The rooms are appointed beautifully and the staff are wonderful. Each morning we enjoyed a continental breakfast with amazing banana nut bread, croissants, coffee, juices, and fruit. There is a small oourtyard behind the lobby area with a swimming pool. It is a nice place to sit and enjoy coffee or a drink and conversation. I saw several rooms and all were very nice. I will stay there again next time I visit the Big Easy.

We live 3 hours from Nola, so my wife and I go there 4 or 5 times a year. We have stayed at about 15 different hotels in the Quarter and Bienville house is our favorite. The staff is great and the rooms are huge. In the winter we stay at the smaller boutique hotels, but in the summer we really appreciate a pool to cool off in. The grotto pool is beautiful and a nice relaxing diversion from the bustle of the day. Few places have a continental breakfast to get you started and the location is hard ... Read more

The Bienville House Hotel has a great location close to all of the French Quarter attractions but a couple of blocks away from the crazy Bourbon Street, but the best par of their location is that even on the 2nd floor from our pool courtyard room we were able to watch the big boats go by on the Mississippi River, such a treat!!! The room was large and well appointed. The staff were all very friendly and the Front Desk staff were very helpful. The continental breakfast was good, both my husband a... Read more

Fantastic from start to finish! I wanted a fun yet classy place to stay in the French Quarter. I got that in spades! The staff were wonderful and charming and the accommodations were simply beautiful. I walked to the Ernest Morial convention center daily and it was a perfect distance. As soon as I can come back to NoLa, I am staying at Bienville House again!!

We will certainly look this hotel up when we return to NOLA! Our room was lovely, spacious and comfortable, with a. Great view of the river. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast by the pool, as well as the afternoon snacks. The location was great - in the French quarter.

I recommend the Bienville House for those wishing to visit New Orleans. It is an older hotel in a excellent location. Easy walking distance to everything in the French Quarter all the way to the Riverwalk. Parking can be an issue as your car might get parked at another hotel, but that is a minor issue. Rooms and guest services are nice.

Recently stayed at the Bienville House for our family reunion. I received a welcome email from the hotel even before I departed for my trip. I thought that was a very nice touch. Day of check in was very slow and chaotic. Lobby is small so it was full of people waiting for clean rooms so they could check in. Valet staff was very nice and helpful. And kudos to Cynthia who works at the check-in desk in the hotel she is fantastic. Awesome service! My only caution of this hotel would be that th... Read more

From the lobby entry through the rooms, step back into history. A very well decorated hotel with a great staff and many amenities within it. The rooms are large but the cost is not, comfortable furnishings and beds with a large bathroom. Many shops, restaurants and attractions just outside the door and Bourbon Street is only a few blocks away, about a 10 minute walk but far enough away to not hear the never-ending festivities going on. We were impressed with the quality for the cost and glad we ... Read more

We stayed one night in a sun deck room. I enjoyed having my room open up onto the (shared) rooftop sundeck, which was pretty and provided an escape from what I perceived to be quite a strong damp, musty smell in the room itself. The rest of my family could smell it, but didn't find it as unpleasantly strong as I did. The room appeared clean, but the smell resulted in me feeling like the cleanliness might not be what I had hoped for (though I admit I am picky when it comes to cleanliness in ho... Read more

This was a nice stop for one night with the family. Was a little hard to get to Bc of the construction but we found it. The building is beautiful... Nice staff too. We were told rooms 356 & 357 have the most actively for haunting (if you're looking for some fun)

The hotel staff was professional, friendly, and always helpful. It's in a great location (unless you need to be at the convention center or Dome) and many things were in walking distance. The breakfast could have had a better variety of fruit. Overall, I would visit and recommend this hotel.

Beautiful room. Ask for a balcony. Desk staff very helpful. Location is great. Irish pub and restaurant across the st. Breakfast/ dessert place 2 doors down. Bourbon St is 3 blocks away. Jackson square 3 blocks in the other direction. There is a courtyard with a pool, and a restaurant for late lunch and dinner. We had takeout and it was delicious. Continental breakfast in the lobby.

This was our first time at Bienville House. We will return. The hotel is beautiful historical property. Our room was huge with a street side balcony which was very nice. The staff are all friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect...in the French Quarter with restaurants and shops all around but a few blocks away from the noise of Bourbon Street. Very near Canal Street, the Riverwalk, The Aquarium, and street cars.

From the time I walked in the small yet elegant lobby and was greeted by Cynthia so warmly I knew this place was going to be wonderful. We were treated with sincere kindness and found our room in an easy to get to location with a balcony that let us do some people seeing while enjoying a cocktail or morning cup of coffee. Room was very clean and decorated very elegantly. You cannot beat the location, its just a couple blocks away from Bourbon street and a nice walk with cafes, restaurants and sh... Read more

We purposely did not stay at Royal Sonesta like we always do because we wanted something a bit quieter but still near the action. While the location is good, there are train tracks behind the hotel. And trains come through every few hours blowing their horn all through the night. We were at the end of the hotel and heard it loud and clear - those in the middle of the hotel also heard it (we had friends staying in other rooms). We also clearly heard every car horn, person yelling and any other no... Read more

The Bienville House is located within walking distance of all of the interesting sites within the New Orleans French Quarter. By taking the streetcar, you can add even more sites to enjoy. We loved the looks and atmosphere of this House and were particularly delighted with the personable and friendly staff.

Hotel was very close to all the local attractions. Parked our car and didn't use it for the entire stay everything within walking distance. Miss Cynthia at the front desk is awesome she goes above and beyond for all of her guest. I hope the owners know how much she is valued. She gave us several things to go see and recommended the best restaurants (usually giving coupons) we absolutely loved her. The breakfast people were a little overboard on hospitality but after getting to know them they ... Read more

Staying at this hotel is like staying at a friends house. They're so warm and welcoming. It's small and personal. They remember your name. I love staying here. I just came back from 5 days in New Orleans and stayed at this hotel while I was there. I stayed in a King Superior and the room was clean and spacious with a huge balcony. Room 360. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful greeting you by name when you enter. Class hospitality. Not to mention Latitude 29 is down stairs for all of your tiki needs. Oh, and there is a small pool which is a nice reprieve from the summer heat. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any type of traveler. Not... Read more

We arrived about 11 am thinking we would have to leave our bags until check-in but they had our rooms ready for us. My husband and I got the standard room with no windows. We really enjoyed our stay (5 nights), for our first ever trip to New Orleans. The rooms were nice, the hotel was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. By far though, the best part of the trip was the Bienville House staff, especially Cynthia. Cynthia was extremely helpful, courteous, and just a pleasure to deal with and be around. Thank you Cynthia for making our trip and our stay so wonderful. We will be back soon, I hope.

Myself and my husband are currently staying at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect for the tourist attractions and nightlife if that is what you want. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained in the French period style that makes the stay here feel more than a hotel stay.
