" I asked for 2 beds and we only got one. The hotel staff gave us a rollaway bed (free of charge) and moved us to a room that had 2 beds the very next day. The front desk staff was AMAZING! I encountered 3 different front desk staff members (2 women and 1 man) they were all great people, a great help. Overall, due to the location of the hotel to Bourbon Street & Canal, I would stay there again. My only issue is, I feel the cost per room is too high for what you get in the hotel. The continental breakfast was horrible, I'd rather them not serve breakfast at all. My suggestion is they should make a deal with a local place and offer a guest discount for eating breakfast there. One other tip, if you stay at this hotel, PARK YOUR CAR at Harrah's casino, go in and gamble for 30 minutes and you can park for free for 24 hours. That's what we did. It will save you $60 for the weekend!!!"

"This hotel is nice, not as nice as some in New Orleans but also not as expensive. It happened to be the first weekend of many people's Spring Break, so it was not only booked up so we couldn't get a 2-bed room, but they were out of cots!!! Two of the girls slept on the FLOOR the first night. The attendants at the front desk was great though, we were moved into a new room the next morning and were still able to have a good time. The manager was also really nice and comp'd our parking ($32/day) for the inconvenience. "

"This is a great little hotel in easy walking distance from Canal Street, the French Quarter and the Riverfront. I have no problems recommending it if you want a less expensive alternative to the big hotels downtown.

The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the price was right. I had to stay somewhere for an academic conference, but was self-funded so couldn't afford the more expensive hotels my colleagues were staying in. As it was, even with the $10/night 'amenities' fee, I still saved $40/night over what they were paying.

And when I needed to print out my conference talk they had a computer and printer in their business centre I could use, so no last minute stress trying to find a copy centre. Sure, there were some noisy people in the hallways at various hours of the evening and early morning, but this is after all New Orleans!"

"I book this hotel before I read some of the other reviews and through an unpublished rate to get a deal. I was really afraid once I read the reviews. However, I must admit it was not that bad. Fortunately for us, we got a King room on the first floor facing the street with vaulted ceilings. Noise was not an issue. It was relatively clean and quiet. I did not like paying the $9.95 fee for the internet, safe, etc because I did not use those things. I also did not like not having a microwave or refrigerator in the room. The continential breakfast was not good at all. And the valet guys gave us bad information about parking at the meters after 6pm and on the weekends, which led to a $20.00 parking ticket. Overall it was not bad, but would not stay there again unless I got a really cheap room rate (under $75 per night)."
