Quick trip to NOLA. Got a good rate as the hotel is about a 20 minute drive to downtown. Nice lobby. Wonderful staff in the restuarant we didn't step foot in the lounge, we kept missing the times it was open. The gym was small but did the trick. The room was dated, the toilet ran (even after maintence came) and the bed squeaked. The carpets were worn and faded overall the room was pretty terrible and granted this was the second room as the first had a strange smell and what looked like water int... Read more

We wanted to stay near City Park for a birthday party. I've always loved Marriot's Cause way location. However, I can tell they have renovated the hotel. This location is headed towards a luxurious Full-Service Boutique Hotel. What was Asian inspired decor (beautiful) is now chic and fabulous (Still beautiful). Steven and Damien in guest services were helpful and kind. And, the hotel offered nice amenities! No smells. Comfortable beds, beautiful lake views, etc. The only extra amenities I woul... Read more

We loved this hotel. Super easy access, short drive to French Quarter, very quiet surrounding area. This hotel is inside an office building so it's a great, quiet location on weekends. Very nice decor, great food (both room service and dining room). Room overlooking the water. Amazing.

Awesome view from the 10th floor room 1017. Great spacious room. Valet Parking is steep. Self parking is steep. Bathroom tiny. Fast check in. Great staff. Needed toiletries and got them within 20 minutes. Comfy beds. Great location. Overall awesome!!

As a platinum member of Marriott I have stayed at 30+ properties around the world and this place by far has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I thought maybe it was just one person but it was contagious. Started when I checked in and the woman behind the desk just gave me my key and felt no need to explain anything to me and when I did ask questions I was given one word responses. Also, I would ask the most basic questions and come to find out I was given wrong infor... Read more

I booked this hotel extremely last minute because we were passing through New Orleans, and because of that, I got an awesome rate! Obviously I was expecting to pay $250 or upward for a property of this caliber, but, I'm glad I didn't. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view, but, I had no hot water!!! After calling guest services twice, the issue was still not addressed! Housekeeping should pay more attention to guest corridors, they need vacuuming in the worst way.

Enjoyed a 3-day weekend with a good friend. Felt safe and secure. Everything at hotel was handled well. The valet staff is exceptional. The valets were professional, courteous, polite, and friendly. They treated me with kindness and respect. Will be spending all of my New Orleans metro hotel stays at this hotel.

We stayed here as the rates were about $100 less to stay about 15 min. outside of NO versus staying inside the city. I was a little surprised that we had to pay a $20 fee to park our car since this was outside of the city. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel rooms are above an office building but they were comfortable. The bathroom is quite small but functional. Breakfast is not included but there are several nearby places to eat.

Last week I wanted to take a relaxing trip, so I decided to go to New Orleans. I understand that the adjective "relaxing" and New Orleans are probably not supposed to be in the same sentence, but we will make an exception this time. Not wanting to be in the hustle and bustle of the city, I decided to stay in Metarie. This hotel was absolutely perfect for my getaway. From the moment I arrived at the front desk the staff was kind, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. There was an individua... Read more

I had been coming in town for the past 3 weeks due to my mom being in the hospital there. I initially stayed at the JW Marriott but decided on Metairie Marriott because it was closer the last 2 weekends I was in town. The guy at the front desk was "awesome". He even upgraded our room to a Concierge Level room. Overall the staff was extremely nice and I will definitely stay there again when I am in town.

This hotel is located conveniently for the job we were on site to visit. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel offered plenty of amenities for a business trip. The bar for a nightcap and coffee shop for a wake-up were nice to have in the hotel.

The Marriott Metairie Lakeway was a fine enough hotel with a beautiful lobby connected to an office building on the bottom floors. It is fantastically close to the airport about 15 minutes away. My room was nothing spectacular, it overlooked the low rooftop steam stacks and the business/neighborhood behind the hotel. It was a clean room with a pretty comfortable bed. I requested a refrigerator in the room, which was plopped in brusquely, but pretty quickly after my call down. I was surprised t... Read more

The price, convenience, location, service, friendly staff all makes this hotel a top line stay for business travel. The facility is a bit upscale, tasteful, tons of additional services onsite and true professional staff. Loved my stay this week for a couple. You have to book online, hotel can't book room for you onsite but that is same for such facilities. This was ideal for me and look forward to staying again

When you arrive, you step into a newly renovated, contemporary lobby. The staff pleasantly greets you and is eager to please. The rooms are clean, but average, dated Marriott decor. The furniture has seen better days, and some of the fixtures in the bathroom are corroded. The air conditioning works very well, a rarity in New Orleans. The walls are thin and poorly soundproofed, so expect to hear your neighbors. A bonus is the full health club, with free access for hotel guests. Overall, a... Read more

I stay at this hotel a lot when I'm in town. Something happened to me there and I don't want to get into but I was taken care of by Dontrell at the front desk. He was amazing. He went above and beyond his job duties. I would highly recommend staying at this Marriott. With Dontrells actions I will only stay at this hotel when I'm in New Orleans.

Stayed here while on business. I am a Platinum Elite member. Got 2 rooms. My room was standard and the other room for my sales rep was a corner suite. Walls paper thin at this hotel as people next to me had the tv on all night. I cranked the a/c to drown the noise. Decent bed and blankets. Typical bathroom amenities. Executive lounge is on the first floor. Typical breakfast fare in the lounge and snacks at night. Fitness center is a hotel room on 11th floor with 4 older machines. Parking is $20 ... Read more

Stayed during July 4th weekend. Very busy weekend so it took a while to check in. The younger clerk was very professional and patient as she explained something to a guest about 3 times because he didn't grasp the concept. Close to a nice mall and the beautiful lake is in walking distance directly behind it. The area is very nice. You don't visit New Orleans (or stay 15 minutes from it in Metarie) to stay in your room. We used self parking vs valet. During check in and check out the valets wer... Read more

A quirky hotel, fading at the edges. Gorgeous lake view or city distant views, depending on room. Entrance difficult to find, made more so by disorienting mirrored square columns at entry way. Distracted clerk on checkin managed a few monosyllables. One of the two keys given us worked. Most AC plugs in room worked with the exception of two above the bedside table. We self parked, so third floor, of a quite awkward parking garage: built in the 1960s style with level floors and steep ramps a... Read more

We visit New Orleans about four or five times each year. It's kinda like our home away from home. Typically, we book our room in Kenner, near the airport. However, we stayed in Metarie at the Country Inn and Suites back in April, which was probably our best hotel stay in New Orleans, yet, besides the Crowne Plaza in Kenner. This time I decided we should try a new hotel in Metarie, since Metarie is a little closer to the actual city than Kenner. Now for the review. This Marriott location is very... Read more

This hotel was great, it cost $13 to uber downtown NOLA and saved parking fees there. They hotel was clean and the rooms were adequate. I would have preferred if they didn't charge for parking as it puts an extra expense on the visit. I would recommend the valet parking though as it's cheaper than self parking.

Stayed a night for the first time this week. Location is off Causeway Blvd, literally right before the entrance/exit to the bridge. Make sure you turn left on 6th (by the Uhaul) and loop around to the entrance/valet to avoid a 48 mile round trip across the lake. Building screams 80's glass and mirrors and looks like some areas have been updated, but some still remind you of big hair and prom. Room had an outstanding view of the lake and the city which was really nice. Room could use an over... Read more

For this price point the service is ridiculous. I've stayed multiple times and the last one was the breaking point. I've been a repeat guest for 2 reasons: the proximity to my office and honestly, the startbucks downstairs. Ive had multiple problems mostly with housekeeping and room service. Valet doesn't offer to help out a bag in a car or even pop your trunk. Housekeeping is horrid. My bed has not been made multiple times, coffee and supplies not being replaced regularly, towels and washcloth... Read more
