We all gathered from all over the USA to celebrate a 60th birthday for one of our siblings. We picked this hotel for its proximity to the airport and downtown New Orleans (8 miles to each, right smack in the center). I contacted the hotel and let them know about this large gathering and they responded immediately with a group rate and info about the hotel and surrounding area. We had a dedicated team responding to our inquiries, EXCELLENT communication!! When we arrived we were all greeted by th... Read more

Upon arrival the room was not cleaned to my satisfaction. The carpet had white stains at the foot of the bed. The bathroom tub was not cleaned. There was hair in the tub. The elevator was being repaired and room service did not come to my room to replace bath towels.

My room was on the forth floor and the elevator was out of order. We were told that they were working on it but it was not repaired during my stay. We had to walk the stairs the entire trip. The tub had a permanent stain in it.

Great, helpful, friendly staff. Love the parking structure access to floors 2 & 3. This property offers phenomenally easy access to I-10, which will get you anywhere you want to go in NOLA. Given the number of one-way streets & odd turnabouts, easy is good!

Every hotel employee we met was extremely nice, helpful and professional. Hotel was nice, clean, beds were comfy. Thermostat set to cool to 72 and no lower. It felt warm at night for me. Breakfast was not so great. Preformed scrambled eggs were rubbery and tasteless, bacon was greasy and undercooked. Stick with the waffles or cereal.

This Hampton Inn is very nice. Easy access to interstate and mall. Pretty safe neighborhood. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice with eggs, sausage, cereal, breads and make your own waffles. Front desk was very welcoming and our room was ready on arrival. Would stay here again if in the area.

In a bad location. Can hear doors slamming at night. People talking in hallway, but nothing done about it. Room was up to standard, as well as the breakfast. Toilet makes strange noise when flush. Courteous check-in. Give bottles of Dasari water. Bed very comfortable with lots of channels on tv. Bath tub seemed slanted, and so difficult to stand in. Hotel seemed somewhat dated.

Lack of cleanliness and freshness was a problem for the first time using a Hampton Inn. We are used to having the cleanest and freshest room. The carpet felt dirty and sticky. There was an odor that was offensive. Also, the bathroom was lacking a trash can. Poor housekeeping was the problem.

We were comfortable and our stay was fine, but not up to the standards we're accustomed to at Hamton Inns. Room was short one pillow. Too few towels. Very slow draining sink. Bottom of tub was so curved that it made taking a shower difficult. This Hamton is likely overdue for a renovation.

We used this hotel as a jumping off place for a trip from New Orleans Airport. They had a shuttle that worked nicely for us and a parking garage in which to leave our car. The hotel is very close to the Metairie Dragos, our favorite NO restaurant. Rooms and the pool were a little small, but the breakfast was good. Although it is very close to Causeway Blvd., the room was quiet enough to sleep in. Would stay again.

It is very well located as a few meters away is a large shopping center where you can find a lot of variety of items a hotel. In Louisiana return the 70% tax of the items you have purchased. Hotel beds are very comfortable The only problem is that around 10 am begins the noise of people leaving and entering So if you want to sleep comfortably You can't do it.

We have stayed at this hotel for years. This last time it has seemed to decline in quality. Perhaps the new hotel they are building a block away is taking from it (same chain)? This is a typical Hampton Inn experience with two exceptions: 1) Location and 2) No Closets in Room The location is directly behind a highway ramp and my room on the fifth floor was even with it.
