Very close to the airport. You can hear the planes overhead, but it didn't bother my sleep. The breakfast was good ?? nice mix of food, fresh. The facility was a little old, but it didn't feel dirty. I'd stay again.

My wife and I had a great experience at the Kenner location as a quick overnight stay prior to an early morning flight. The hotel is very conveniently located to the New Orleans airport, and we were able to utilize the hotel's free airport shuttle which got us to the airport in 5 minutes. Front desk staff were quite friendly and quick to assist us with any questions that we had upon check in and regarding places to eat. The rooms are basic Fairfield Inn rooms, but the continental breakfast was ... Read more

We stayed here for a soccer tournament recently and were pleased with out choice. The rooms were the not biggest and could probably use an update, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was great. I had a minor issue in my first room (light bulbs burned out over the sink) and was immediately moved to another room. The front desk called to make sure everything was satisfactory in my new room. The breakfast was great on both days. I've stayed at 4 or 5 other hotels in this area ... Read more

For whatever reason, hotels in the New Orleans area are ridiculously expensive. We ended up choosing this one because it was the most affordable after my MIL's Marriott discount. Check-in was pretty smooth. We arrived around 10 PM and the front desk clerks weren't too friendly or helpful. We asked for one of the big luggage rollers and they said, "It should be around here somewhere". We looked all over the hotel and couldn't find them. It seemed like the day shift workers were friendlier and m... Read more

I just visited this hotel this week. The rooms were pretty large with two beds, a desk & chair, easy chair and table with tv. It was very clean and the help were very nice and friendly. They made cookies complimentary. The breakfast was pretty decent. You could make waffles (with strawberries). They also had toast, muffins, eggs, sausage, cereal, etc. The airport was close and the planes flew right over but we didn't hear them. Either they are well insulated or we were super tired. They ... Sadly, as a platinum Marriott member, I must say this is the worst hotel I have ever visited. Not worth staying here before a flight unless you enjoy a damp and humid room with wet carpet and remnants in the tub from their last guest. We had 3 rooms and one was worse than the next.

I have no idea where several of the other positive reviewers on this site stayed...this hotel is dated, it is a $49/night special, with old sinks freestanding in the room and carpet in front of them...air conditioners in the walls of each unit, and dark corridors to the rooms. My son and I stayed here before a trip out of the New Orleans airport. The room was moist and damp when we entered. The AIR CON was on full blast, it registered 72 degrees and yet still everything felt wet. The bathro... Read more

The hotel is in the direct path of a runway. You will get to hear planes landing depending on runway configuration. The place looks neat from out side but like everything in New Orleans it's in need of some major up keep. The bathroom in my room had slick floor and running toilet . The shower needed a good scrubbing. No vent fan in bath room . No closet neither . There is no safe or refrigerator. Fresh paint on room walls and clean bedding but this place is low end . There is a shuttle to and fr... Read more

We stayed here one night for early AM flight out of New Orleans airport. The hotel was easy to acres and park. It was an older place but cute details in lobby and really friendly staff. I would stay there again. We did not eat there. The Place was great.

I reserved 3 rooms for our family. We were able to reserve the drive, stay and fly rate. I can not say how easy it was, Scheduled the shuttle for a 9:00 a.m. to the airport. Ten days later ten we returned and gathered out luggage called them to pick us up. Just that easy... .you can not go wrong with this hotel. Staff was very nice and friendly and easy to work with.

I had a two night stay and used the free shuttle from MSY airport which was convenient. There is friendly staff at this hotel. There is a good seafood restaurant across the street,The Harbour Restaurant. Also it's close to Esplande Mall.

One night road trip sleepover - ok everyone I mean everyone who works at this hotel is pleasant and welcoming. Rooms - mattress great, shower low water pressure, soaps average, hair dryer lukewarm, Internet great. In wall a/c unit is as loud as the planes taking off you can hear at N.O. Intl airport nearby. Walls are paper thin, any hallway activity is public to every room within a earshot. Breakfast area clean - well stocked. Ice maker on bottom floor broke - had to go to the 3rd floor for... Read more

Looking for a place not in New Orleans itself, we found this Fairfield Inn at a AAA rate of $96/night. Parking was tough for an RV or truck but the staff was superb and accommodating. The included breakfast was amply and the coffee was good. The place is older and the rooms reflect that but they were clean and the beds comfortable. A $36 taxi fare for (2) will get you into New Orleans proper if you don't want to drive in (and I suggest you don't). The pool, though small, is clean but accessible... Read more

The hotel was overall nice and the staff was friendly. I didn't give it 5 because the room had a little bit of a funky smell when I walked in. It aired out later on. Breakfast was good and he breakfast lady was very very nice! Front staff at night on Saturday was nice as well. When I checked in the front staff was busy with someone on their phone so I wasn't too happy about that but no big deal.

Stayed a night unexpectedly this past week due to flight cancellation. Property is close to the airport, about 1/2 mile past the end of the service road. On this day, planes were landing virtually on the roof of this place. Check in staff was excellent. Room itself was ok, a little musty and dated. When I left at 10 till 5 the next morning, there were two police vehicles in the lot. Did not bother me, but I guess they want to keep an eye on the area at that time of night/morning.

Breakfast was great! BEWARE of the planes that fly in and out. It is near the airport, people! Lol. The cheapest Marriott hotel I stayed in in awhile. Bang for your Buck! Could definitely use some lighting by the pool.

Evening staff was very nuce and courteous. The hotel not impressed Much older property that has been transformed at some point Breakfast area is decent Very average property I expect more from the Marriott name

Room smelled musty, and was not as clean as I would expect from a Marriott owned hotel. Hairs on new towels, carpet and floor not very clean. The desk staff had visitors blocking the driveway in the 10 minute check-in lane that made it difficult to get in and out. The airport noise was not an issue on the first floor room we had. Very convenient to the airport.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn We got there early before check in time which is 3pm the manager Jeanise was accommodating and we were able to check in before time, the only set back was the room had no fridge, or microwave, other than that it was great. One employee that really stood out with us was Tammy she was exceptional !!. this was our first time visiting La which our objective was to go to New Orleans, Tammy gave information on kenner and also great suggestion for... This hotel was not worth the money. Not even close. We paid up for the privilege of staying one night and parking at the hotel during our vacation. There are many better and closer options. The hotel itself is not in great condition. The common areas were dirty. We were checked in by someone who was either out of it, sleepy or tweaking on something. (My guess - the latter.). She checked us in under someone else's name, despite having my ID in her hand. When we were checked in right, it was for... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel many times through the years. It really is nothing special, but it is close to the airport. You will find one restaurant within walking distance with many others only a short drive away. They have a nice big fitness room and WIFI is OK. This is an older Fairfield, but it has been remodeled so it is in pretty fair condition. Traffic into New Orleans is a "bear" in the morning and just as bad going back in the afternoon. All in all I use it because it is close to the... Read more

My sister and I decided to stay here since Kenner is the "middle point" of where our friends and family live. Jamie was pleasant at check-in and did so quickly without issues. Our room was just okay. We wanted one with a fridge because my sister is diabetic(insulin) and we had drinks with us that we wanted cold. Unfortunately, we did not get our request, but we made it work with ice buckets and cups filled with ice from the ice machine. The beds were comfortable enough and we had a decent sleep ... Read more

A decent representation of the brand. An older building, but some decent renovations. But the largest room for sure. But fridge and microwave in it. Decent mattress. Very close to airport. Adj you may hear planes. Thin walls and windows. Price was reasonable.

We spent 3 nts here while visiting in New Orleans. All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. However, I would like to mention one person that was "extra" pleasant and that was Diana. She worked in the breakfast area making sure everyone could find what they needed. She sang "good morning" to each person as they entered the area. It was an especially nice way to start the day. The hotel was kept very clean and the front desk people were more than obliging. Thank you Fairfield Inn!

I needed a clean hotel to overnight before my early morning flight. The hotel is really close to the airport, near a gas station (for refueling before returning a car) and clean. I didn't use any of the amenities of the hotel, but the staff was friendly upon my late arrival and nice in the morning on the way out. There is a shuttle to the airport though I didn't use it.

My husband & I took a client to this area for medical evaluation. We chose this location for the convenience to the doctor's office. We are regular Marriott customers and have stayed in Marriotts in many locations. This one was by far the most run down. Our sheer curtains were torn off the curtain rod. We only had room darkening curtains & they had been melted or burned on the edge. This was very inconvenient since we were on the bottom floor and had no privacy at all with the curtains opene... We arrived to this hotel at 11:30 p.m. after a long day. We were experiencing a bad wheel bearing in our car that wouldn't last much longer. The GPS didn't know their location, so we called for directions at the hotel. Nobody that worked there seemed to know the area very well and they sent us the wrong direction on the highway - an extra 30 miles with my car coming apart. When we got there, every parking spot was taken and this isn't a great area. Their suggestion was to park it at a plaza, but... Read more
