"My husband and I travelled from Texas to Houma, LA for my cousin's wedding over Memorial Day 2012 weekend. We found the Courtyard Houma to be very inviting indeed! The lobby is very modern and updated (neutral colors, dark wood, etc.) and the staff to be very friendly. The rooms are quite comfortable and nicely decorated in the same modern, neutral palate as the rest of the hotel. We stayed in a king non-smoking suite but the room was not quite as large as what I was expecting for a suite. Plenty of room for two though.

My husband used the gym and pool twice and said he was able to get a good workout and the facilitries were in really good condition (nothing old or worn). The hotel smells nice (not of stale smoke) and we found the entire property to be very clean. The only negatives would be it's lcoation...a bit far from the interstate. And Courtyard does not offer a free hot breakfast (like Hampton Inn or Ramada Prop). However we were given a free breakfast coupon upon arrival after asking. Great property! If ever in Houma again, this is where we'll stay."
