Stayed for four nights . The front desk and restaurant employees were really nice. My problem is the room was dirty. There was hair in the tub and a lot behind the bathroom door, easy to see it had not been swept. Along the beds on the carpet was food. The bathroom walls had hair and something that had ran down by the toilet. In the cabinet that the fridge is in was nasty with crumbs of food. I moved the ottoman and found socks, I then pulled the chair over and saw food and trash. Also t... Read more

I checked in late. The front desk clerk could not have been nicer when we realized Hotels.com had messed up my reservation. She attempted to get her supervisor on the phone to fix the situation, but she was nowhere to be found. As it was late and we were trying to reach her for 30 minutes, we gave up, and I went ahead and went to my room. It was an accessible room, which was totally fine except the floor drain in the bathroom was clogged, so when I showered the next morning, the bathroom flooded... Read more

We book this hotel because it is the nearest hotel to the places we want to visit that is still within our budget. The place is actually nice. We got a room overlook the bridge and mall. The problem i have is how loud the housekeeping can be. I stay for 2 nights and every morning there are 2 housekeepers in the hall. They talk super loud and i'm flabbergasted by the way they converse. They basically yell at each other from the other side of the hall. It is super annoying. Beside that, the overal... Read more

My husband is staying there while he works. It was his birthday today and I asked Treneise, and Leah at the front desk to see if a slice of cake could be sent to him. The chef Joe sent this slice of heaven to him, and I am so grateful!! He loved it!! Thanks Westbank team for doing something for me when I couldn't do it myself, because I'm in another state! What a great staff!!

Nice hotel. Built in the 70's, but recently updated. Large rooms with a nice view. Staff is very helpful. They have a breakfast buffet. Best to get there early--they don't necessarily refresh it once it gets a little later in the morning. Walking distance to the Oakwood Mall, where they have a Cafe duMonde and you can get your beignets without waiting in a long line.

Average accommodations and all activities in New Orleans, including the cruise ship port and airport, are on the other side of the river. Expect to be tied up in the bridge bottleneck for very long times. Free parking for cruisers but not worth the hassle and expense of getting from hotel to port and then port to hotel to pick up car. Very long drive to airport.

We stayed overnight and I thought it was okay for overnight; bathroom were too small is the only thing that I did not like about my stay. The price was actually not too bad and breakfast was right on time.

This hotel seems nice on the surface but after staying a few nights it was horrible. The room was not the cleanest from check in. The day we arrived we found pink fingernails and a nail clipper on the floor near the sofa. Our room was ice cold the day we checked in and there was no temperature control from the wall despite a note on the unit instructing us to operate it from the wall. Their idea of fixing it was to come remove the instructions. It's terribly noisy from the freeway, especially a... Read more

In the beginning, had a experience with a dirty room and the smell of burning wires when I cut on the air condition however is was quickly taken care of. Once we moved to another room, it was an average experience or stay for the Holiday Inn. The food in the restaurant downstairs was not the best but it was ok especially when children get to eat free. I stayed here because I was traveling with my children on a budget. The only downfall is traveling back and forward from this hotel across the ... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. The staff at the front desk couldn't be any nicer. They were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was just ok. The servers weren't that great . They had a managers special Buffett for free one night. We got there about 20 minutes before it started and ordered from the menu. No one told us about the Buffett until after we had received our meal. The food was great but when we ate breakfast there it was just ok. IHOP is right across the street, next time I would g... The Holiday Inn West Bank Tower is a great hotel! The rooms were exceptionally clean, quite and very well decorated. As a Hilton Honors member and traveler I do not stay at many Holiday Inn's but this particular hotel was just as good if not better than most Double Tree's, Hampton's or most other mid-level Hilton hotels. Only drawback was the actual bathroom/shower area is rather small and cramped but not enough to not recommend this hotel. The staff was excellent and adjacent to hotel is a ... Read more

Tourist in New Orleans for 2/3 day. Hotel is situation within arms length of the freeway which is very convenient (9 mins to downtown), surprisingly quiet and clean. Front desk staff very helpful but don't bother with the inclusive breakfast (Holiday Inn - you need to do much better than this or don't bother at all).

Stayed @ Holiday Inn 275 Whitney Blvd in Gretna, LA. The hotel was easy to find, clean, restaurant on site, conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. The rooms were cleaned daily. No roaches seen in our room. Fresh towels daily. Not to noisy. Workers and guests alike was friendly. Enjoyed my stay. Plan to return again.

I called ahead and ordered Strawberries with wine.. They had it chilled and in the room when we arrived even though it was later than what we originally planned.. We had our do not disturb sign out when housekeeping came around.. They left a card underneath our door to call when ready for service.. When we returned our room was spotless and restocked.. We plan to return soon..

The room was very comfortable and the service was good. The West Bank area is not the greatest for tourism, but the access into New Orleans proper is quite easy on the Expressway. The morning breakfast buffet is a good but the same everyday. The hot dishes are scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, bacon and home fried potato's.

I went to stay at his hotel just for the weekend. The rooms I felt were old and out of date. The beds were hard and there wasn't even a microwave in the room, no sub ports to plug in devices. After we left I discovered that I had left something in the room. When I call back to see if someone had turned it in the manager I flaked to was rude, nasty, said they didn't had anything and just hug up in my face. Will never stay here again.

The room faced towards the busy high way. There wasn't a single night that slept thru the night due to the noise of passing traffic. Upon arrival it showed that the reservation wasn't correct. I arrived a day too early. Ok just add another night to the reservation you would think but no ALL the nights became $24 more expensive. "Yes Sir that is the system". Luckily one of the more clever staff (Jazz I believe was her name said I'll arrange this and she did which was actually the most positive o... Read more

Perfectly fine hotel in itself: clean, friendly staff, pool and decent breakfast - but location is not ideal for the centre. Expect to pay c. $20 each way for a taxi in and out of town. This soon adds up!

We didn't choose this hotel because the rooms were booked for us. After the first sleepless night, I was ready to rate this terrible. Our room was right next to the interstate where it begins to go uphill. This means that those big and little motorcycles scream as they go by. I had headphones on with an audiobook playing and I still heard them. At 1:30 I walked to the French not desk to tell the night manager we wanted a different room for the next night or a change of hotel. He found a room f... Read more

My husband and another couple stayed here for one night before our cruise. The hotel is ok. It seemed clean and was affordable. We arrived around noon and were able to check right on. The rooms are very big and set at interesting angles as the Tower is round. Their onsite restaurant was good. The food was good and they gave you lots of it. The staff was very nice. Our waiter was brand new but did an excellent job. We ate two meals here and had drinks. The manager D. Floydd was wonderful to work ... Read more

Worst service I ever experience. I booked my room 2 months ago and when I arrived to do the check in they didn't have an available room. They accommodate me in another hotel which was really bad and not even comparable with the one I paid for. Nobody contact me to say they're sold out. I just found out when I arrived to do the check in. For sure I'll never book this hotel again. The are not worried about having a good service or their guests. Completely irresponsible. Don't go there!

Selected for us as part of a vacation package. Staff was friendly and helpful. Gave good advice and always smiled. The room was not overly large and interestingly a wedge shape as you would expect in round hotel. Bath/Toilet was tiny, Bed was king size and surprisingly comfortable. Room also had a large TV (I was able to use it and the free wifi to watch Netflix), refridgerator and microwave, On the seventh floor the view would have been great had we not been facing east., Highway noise could b... We booked from the advice of a friend. I have to say we really enjoyed our stay here before our cruise leaving out of port of NOLA. The room was very nice and we enjoyed our stay here. I will say one issue with our stay was the road noise from the bridge leading to downtown NOLA. I realized the placement of the hotel and the bridge can not be helped but at times the road noise was very high. At some point it sounded like people were open exhaust drag racing on the bridge in the middle of the nig... Read more

Very nice. Great staff and room was super clean. They offer a breakfast and it was very good. The hotel called a taxi for us and we went to bourbon street and back and then the next morning took the same taxi service to the cruise terminal. We left our vehicle at the hotel during our cruise and had no problems.

The food was typical bar food and the things NOLA is know for they fell down on. I was thoroughly disappointed by the gumbo as was each person in our group who tried it. We had a large group with separate bills and the waiter got most of the charges incorrect and had to go back and forth several times. It was a mess.

I stayed in this property in May and had a so-so experience. I wrote a review here and the management went above and beyond to correct my issues, including taking my side in a dispute against hotels.com. I really appreciate how they handled my concerns.
