The suite came with a fireplace, full size refrigerator, a dishwasher and a stove. The room was clean, the bed and pillows soft. It was the perfect size for three people to stay on a quick visit to Baton Rouge. The location is near lots of restaruants and withing walking distance to Starbucks (which I loved in the morning). Breakfast was good, with a decent amount of options. They had hot food available and they even had it out and ready to go before their scheduled time.

We have used this hotel many times to present our seminars. Heather in sales is great to work with. The front desk staff are some of the friendliest we have encountered in hosting seminars across the SE US over the past 15 years. The hotel was clean, we know it has been recently renevated because we were there during it last year. The breakfast, probably would be the only area I could hope for a change, but, that is a personal preference, there were plenty of choices, what was supposed to be hot... Read more

Stayed 3 nights here for a business trip. Front desk staff are very friendly. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was good. I like that they have real plates, silver ware and mugs in the breakfast area and not just the disposable ones. Location is in a quiet area with several restaurants nearby.

I stayed here for four nights with a group of colleagues. My room was large and spacious with a fully equipped kitchen in it. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good - would have been nice to have a wider choice of fresh fruits and on the last morning there were only plastic cutlery, papers cups and plates available (which I really dislike). There is a small pool, whirpool and outside area to sit (none of which we used as the weather was bad the whole week... Read more

Stayed here for a business trip in March of 2016. The staff was good. The food was good each morning. The hotel is located in a nice area with ample free parking for all. My room was fine, no issues there. There is a pool and fitness area, as would be expected in this type of hotel. Nothing negative to report. I had a good experience. There are some restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

We spent 1 night here on the way from Florida to Texas. The set-up of the room was spacious. It included a small kitchen with dishes and everything you might need for an extended stay. The price was right (we paid $114). Bed was comfy, shower was excellent. We had to ask for sheets for the sleeper sofa. Breakfast was free and was OK. My only gripe was that the Breakfast area is a bit too small and crowded. There weren't really enough tables. Also, there was only 1 waffle maker, so I gave... Read more

Very nice Residence Inn. Spacious King studio room. Rooms are mixed with updated and not updated aspects. Updated kitchen counters, old appliances. Updated bathroom counters, old cabinets. Not a big deal though. Nice breakfast area with plenty of seating. Good hot & cold buffet breakfast with plenty of options. Friendly staff. Kids enjoyed the pool. The best thing about this hotel is the location being not far from the freeway and within walking distance to a nice shopping center with a Whole... Read more

My family stays here when we come to Baton Rouge to visit family. It's very spacious, clean and the employees are courteous. The free breakfast is nice with several options to choose from (both hot and cold). There are great restaurant and shopping options within walking distance. Our only issue this visit (in July) was the air conditioner didn't seem to be functioning properly and in Baton Rouge heat and humidity, that's a big problem. Management was notified but the issue was never resolve... Read more

Stayed here on a three night business trip to Baton Rouge- convenient location near a variety of restaurants and shopping, but impressed me the most was the dedication to service and friendliness that the staff displayed at every occasion. A special shout out to Toy who helped me get to the hotel by phone when my GPS failed me. Simply incredible and over the top dedication to helping me in a new area. Very nice accommodations and super breakfasts and evening happy hours! Highly recommended!

We only stayed one night while passing through Baton Rouge and I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in a while, and I have trouble sleeping. The mattress was Goldilocks perfect, the pillows were soft and compliant and big and the sheet/comforter was just about a touch of heaven for my weary body. I slept through the whole night without waking up and it's been a long, long time since I've done that lately.. The room was clean and the small breakfast/lunch counter was reasonably oriced.

This place exceeded my expectations. I normally stay at the Renaissance when I'm in Baton Rouge, but I decided to mix it up and try something new and I'm glad I did. This hotel is in a interesting location, kind of a residential/business park area, but you're also pretty close to some restaurants like P.F. Changs, Newks, 5 guys and a Starbucks. The rooms are nice and big, clean and well maintained. I had a great experience with the staff. I stayed here in the midst of all the flooding, and ... Read more

We had planned our trip well before the floods hit Baton Rouge in August. The hotel was very crowded with relief and government workers. It's hard to write a lot when not a few miles away, neighborhoods were devastated. In spite of all that was going on, the hotel staff was very friendly and cordial. The room was great with the amenities you would expect from a Residence Inn.

Pluses: complete remodel of the property was overdue & such an improvement, breakfast is great, core daytime front desk/office staff are wonderful, housekeepers & evening hospitality are friendly. Minuses: -room upgrade for Platinum member was denied, -new beds are too hard for comfortable rest & have low quality linens--king comforter is too small--prepare to fight for covers all night, -a/c condenser units in rooms are very noisy as they stop and start all night, -top floor is rarely avai... We have always stayed at Marriot Residence Inn hotel for our vacations or business trips. This particular hotel in Baton Rouge, LA., was very nice, clean and located in great neighborhood. Across the hotel, just steps away is a Starbucks coffee place and near Whole Foods Market. I would definitely will stay and come back to this hotel again.

The attitude of the staff in this hotel is the WORST I have ever experienced. They make Basil Fawlty look sensitive and competent. I booked 7 nights stay and requested a room that has wheelchair access. The reservation was confirmed but when I arrived they no longer had a room available for the first night, but had taken my booking and never once mentioned that they did not guarantee the room I requested (I was not asking for a sea view ) . I was told that on the following day they would move... Read more

It was nice to know the room was clean and area was inviting. Grateful I didn't have to worry about this. I should have known Marriott wouldn't disappointment. Location is Awesome. So many things in the vicinity.. Maybe next time we come back to Baton Rouge, we will actually get to embark on the luxuries of the area. Thanks Marriott Residence Inn. We enjoyed our stay in our time of loss.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I booked a 2 bedroom for 4 teen girls and myself for my daughters birthday. The room was large enough for all of us and their dancing. The breakfast the next day was a perfect plus

Having stayed in many Marriott hotels, they have become my go-to for a safe, clean, dependable stay. This particular Marriott Residence Inn in Baton Rouge falls short of the brand's usual consistency. We retuned to our room late the first night to find there was ONE velour blanket for the pull out bed. No sheets, no comforter, or pillows. We stopped by the desk on our way in late the first night to ask for extra towels and wash cloths. We were initially told there were no wash cloths. There are... Read more
