A pleasant surprise. The staff was most welcoming and gracious. Went out of their way to help especially to get my son in his room. Special thanks to Sweets, Cassandra and Patricia. Rooms were undergoing a renovation starting on the day after we left so should be even better. Highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly, prompt service both at checkin and checkout. Nice, modern, clean room. Easy on/off the freeway. Delicious breakfast including hot choices like scrambled eggs, bacon , sausage, oatmeal, waffles, as well as yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, toast, pastries and a wide variety of juices, coffees and teas. What else could we ask for?

This property is excellent, well maintained, and the staff are extremely helpful and kind. I also liked the food served in the breakfast area and also used a coupon that I had received from Hyatt for food on the last day, when we were in a hurry. This all was very helpful.

We booked a room at this hotel to attend a graduation. I asked for a quiet room b/c my husband is a light sleeper. We stayed in room 522 and didn't have much time to report any issues once we checked we had to rush out and then left early the next morning. The hotel appears lovely by the exterior, lobby, etc. However once we got into our room we noticed a couple of things that need improvement. The toilet leaks and had a brown ring in it, there's no fan in bathroom at all "which explains all the... Read more

Don't show up late! I notified the hotel at 3:30 that I could not arrive until after 8. My reservation was tied to my credit card, but they gave my room away. (Luckily I had a friend who took me in.) Also be warned that the hotel in being renovated and you may hear work going on within the hotel (as I did).

I stayed here for a conference and the stay was pleasant. The staff was good and the food was not bad. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend this to business travelers. I am planning to come back for another trip for a longer time to see how the place is for vacation and family travelers.

We had booked a room here last week. The hotel is undergoing major renovations - and really needs it. The carpets are a mess and the elevators are worse. We were very surprised as Hyatt properties are normally excellent. The staff were accommodating in trying to find an acceptable room for us, however I would recommend waiting for the renovations to be completed before staying here.

This is the worst Hyatt I've been in. The worst! Not a thing was right. Let me list them: Rude staff smells weird Nasty stained furniture Unclean room Shower disgusting and unclean Carpet stained Breakfast disaster! No forks, napkins, cups, or coffee! Syrup in puddles on the floor. Attitude from front clerk. General filth and nastiness everywhere. Also this place is undergoing renovation which is a good thing, but much MUCH! overdue - and is still no excuse for the filth! Be prepared to deal wi... Read more

We have stayed at Hyatt Hotels before and NEVER experienced dirty rooms like we have at this particular hotel. The bathroom was so dirty ... the toilet had a dark ring inside and pee underneath the toilet seat. We told hotel staff the next morning and they acted like they did not care. Very disheartening!

This was my second stay at this hotel. Absolutely lovely stay. The location is perfect if you are visiting LSU. Easy exit off the I-10. Right across from the Mall of Louisiana. Once we arrived, we could take either Perkins or Highland to and from campus. The staff is the best. Anything we needed, they supplied. Toothbrush and toothpaste. My stay was great although I did have an issue. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my hotel room to a TWO BED, FREE OF CHARGE. I upgraded. Just returned from a 3-night stay (July 2-6). Room was never cleaned during the entire stay - even after specifically asking at the front desk when it was not cleaned after the first night's stay. Staff is apathetic. Room was musty and mold on the ceiling over the bed. Closet door broken. Sheets on the sofabed were wadded up from a previous guest.

The hotel is located in a great area. Within walking distant of three good eating establishments. Rooms recently updated and staff is friendly and helpful. Located close to I-10. Serves a morning breakfast that is fair. What keeps this hotel from being great is the matter of renovation projects, including plumbing lines which requires shutting off water to the building for hours at a time while I was there. They were kind enough to notify guest, however it was still a problem.

The rooms were recently renovated and very nice. Quiet at night. Breakfast was good but they did lack keeping up with the demand( plates, bowls and food). The one thing my son was looking forward was the oatmeal and it was not available, that was kind of disappointing considering all the ones we stayed at have oatmeal. One thing is did notice was the rooms only have one trash can and I asked and now they only give one trash can. Odd I thought but oh well, the room was clean and we slept well.

I spent three nights in this hotel, and it was almost comically bad. The hotel is being renovated this summer, so there's a lot of construction going on. My room, as well as the whole floor, had a strong odor of air freshener. The sofa was dilapidated, and I didn't feel comfortable sitting on it without a towel on the cushions (stains). The water was turned off each day between 10am and 5pm for construction. On the first morning I was there, there was no hot water on our floor for morning shower... Read more

Traveling with my family. We frequently stay at Hyatt Place Hotels. This one was not particularly clean (smelled of previous room occupant's perfume.) Service was OK, but a little lacking compared to there Hyatt's. (A worker began to spray the floor in the food serving area while we were sitting there trying to eat breakfast. He just went through indiscriminately spraying what I assumed was some kind of strong smelling floor cleaner.) Not a great experience at this hotel.
