On our way to Texas from Georgia we were making good time and decided to stop. We chose the Holiday Inn be as it was so convenient to the interstate. When we first pulled up I was unsure due to the groups of teenagers walking around the parking lot,but decided to check any way . Walked in to a clean beautiful lobby with an absolutely amazing hotel clerk to help us . We were a family of 5 and it was late about 10 pm so we needed to sleep and just rest. The teenagers we having a dance at the hote... Read more

I was in town on business, so after a very long day, I was ready to find a place to crash for the night. This hotel was very nice, clean, and in a good location for all I had going on. I even ate supper at their restaurant instead of going back out and fighting traffic again and I was very pleased. The staff was very nice and friendly at check-in and at the restaurant and everyone made me feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful with wonderful amenities. Very clean and very attentive staff. The room was spacious and the bed perfect. The drain in the bathroom flowed slowly, but otherwise all was fine. The restaurant food was tasty and we felt safe in the parking lot. Thanks for a great stay. Will visit again soon.

I really expect more if a holiday inn,the rooms were very dirty not to mention the roaches that greeted me in the bathroom. the TV gave up on us after 30 minutes so we decided to go to the bar in the hotel but the bartender was really letting us know by his actions that he hates his job. so over all........bad experience would I stay again?????? NO!!!!!

First time here, seems ok, there are a few items that I disliked about the hotel. The light in the bathroom is really poor. I had to do my makeup in the mirror in the hall. The view is the top of the roof, so nothing to look at there. The air conditioner is set at 66 and still not real cold. The wifi does not work. I called the front desk and they stated that the power went out and it was being fixed. Tried again the next morning and still no wifi. I have been using my hotspot on my work p... Read more

I had a Doctor's appoint the in Baton Rouge, Louisiana so we stayed for the night. The people at the Holiday Inn on Airline Hwy were really great! The rooms were clean and easy to get to. The room was really nice and very affordable!!

I stopped here en route from Alabama to Texas. The hotel was very nice; in fact a bit more upscale lobby than I'm accustomed to at the Holiday Inn Express chain. The room was large and comfortable and more than adequate for my purposes. It's located in an area with a number of restaurants nearby and that's as far as I got. I did not use it as a base for exploration of the Baton Rouge area, so I can't comment on it from that point of view. Breakfast was not included whereas it was at most of the ... Read more

First the key cards didn't work. Second, I learned that handicapped accessible is not the same as ADA compliant. There was no handicapped bathroom. Clean was questionable. Noisy from outsiders walking late at night. Phone never worked even after it was replaced. Drive by quickly, do not stop unless you want the nicest staff with wonderful attitudes.

I always stay here for business, they have good night security and the tower is always quiet. The motel style outside rooms allow dogs but are not a quiet as the tower rooms. Management is good at this location over others in the area. Good breakfast buffet.

Spacious rooms that are well kept and designed to block out noises from the nearby highway. In room amenities were limited to television, coffee maker and ironing board but vending machines were not far away. Staff was very polite and helpful.

Over the past several years I can't count the number of times we have stayed at this hotel. We have stayed for both work and leisure purposes. Normally we have a great stay with friendly staff.... not the case this time. I always make the reservations ahead of time and ALWAYS book the tower rooms. I do not feel safe or comfortable in the outdoor/courtyard rooms. This time we checked in around 11 at night due to all the work we had all day. This is the second time in a month we have stayed here ... Read more

This is an old holiday inn that is ok but is a $75 room. I paid double that. The room is outdated and is hot. There should be a law against a hotel room being that hot. The rooms are exterior facing. Nothing is within walking distance. There are better choices for the money. Now I know why they had vacancies.

This hotel has issues on a number of fronts. House cleaning is marginal, at best. I was there 9 days and the carpet was not vacuumed once. Talked to cleaner and asked for trash to be taken out..not done. I asked front desk, they said everyone was gone for the day. Apparently, they do not have service from dinner on. Received clean towels one day...they never took out the dirty towels on floor. The bathroom was not mopped nor tub cleaned the wholetime I was there. The carpets in main part of hotel... Read more

Clean rooms excellent service and location. They have a gym, bar, room service. Stayed in the king pool view suite. Excellent, no complaints. Has alot of movie channels to choose from unlike some hotels that only have 1.

We stayed at this hotel with a sports team. It was a big tournament and a busy weekend in town. I believe that the staff was overwhelmed or the hotel was not properly staffed for this weekend. At check in we were told that our reservation had been cancelled. We never found out what happened. Fortunately Leslie was able to find us a room although it was not the bed set up that we had requested. The room was not ready for us - not a big deal but just proving that they were not ready for this lev... Read more

You walk in to a full atrium, fancy spaces, contemporary lobby and then end up in late 20th century outside entrance rooms straight out of the Midwest. And after schlepping your bags forever and hiking up the stairs with your luggage because the elevator does not serve that part of the building. Noisy HVAC and little floor space/no closets finish the scene. Was sent here for business--probably won't go back.

The front looks nice until you check in and they send you around to the Motel 6 in the back. Premium rate charge for a room that is no better than any budget hotel on any strip in Louisiana. You carry your bags up the stairs and then you walk down the hallway past all the smokers hanging over the balcony to enter a room with a bathroom smaller than the bathroom in my RV. Avoid this hotel at all costs. You can do much better for half the price anywhere in town.

We spent three nights here over a weekend when we were attending a wedding. It was a convenient location. The room was spacious enough, the bed was comfortable, the staff pleasant. We ate lunch at the bar/grill and it was very good.

I had stayed here before about 3 years ago, but it was in the tower part. Rooms where just wonderful. But on this stay we were placed in some outside rooms that are in desperate need of attention. Dirty carpet and curtains, an ac that would just stop working, the world's smallest bathroom with a door you had to slam and push to shut it. The dressers drawers did not work. You pulled one open and they all came open. Very disappointed. We expected better from an Holiday Inn. Next time we will stay ... Read more

Stayed here two nights for an event held at this hotel from Friday until Sunday! Everyone was friendly and courteous from the hotel desk staff through the restaurant, and even the housekeepers! Our room was clean & air conditioning was great! As for our event they always had drinks and ice and condiments ready and set up nicely throughout the weekend! Great job!!

Stayed here while coming to the LSU game, hotel has a tower and a separate building of motel-type rooms. We were unfortunately in the separate bulding with the motel type feel. The room was clean, and even though our doors were to the outside, it was quiet. Not in the best part of town so not the type of place to leave your door open or unlocked. Our door shut really hard, so much in fact that when we arrived the door was open and the maid left the door open after cleaning it. We were hesitant t... Read more

The hotel is easily accessible from I-12 and Airline Highway making it convenient to most attractions in the Baton Rouge area. The rooms are all fairly clean but the maintenance and upkeep has fallen off over the last few years. I've been staying at this hotel at least 4 times a year for the last nine years. The tower rooms are better but more expensive. The courtyard (outside) rooms are older and some have musky odors. Our room in the last stay in the tower had a broken tub stopper and t... Read more

We booked this room from the lobby through our IHG app and received an excellent rate. Kenny checked us in and was very friendly and helpful when we asked for a good eating place. He suggested Drusilla Seafood and gave us a coupon for a free cup of gumbo or étouffée which was a great suggestion! Our room was very nice and offered all the usual amenities including microwave, refrigerator, wifi, coffee pot etc. Also had an in room safe. Bed was extremely comfortable and was a quiet location...
