I was annoyed I couldn't get lunch after a six hour flight. The room was also very stuffy. I did not like having to put up for incidentals!! Dinner was quite excellent although rather expensive. I shouldn't of had to walk to Burger King for lunch.

The facility and room were above average,,,but the breakfast poor. That is really our main complaint about this property. There was seldom any staff around the eating area to ask questions (can I have a clean cup?) and each morning they were out of specific foods. Didn't get the room on the top floor at the end of the hall, but the rebuttal was great. Still relocated at the end of the hall even though I was not exactly on the top floor. Front desk agent and restaurant waiter were both excellent.

We picked this hotel from Trip Advisor reviews for an overnight stay after our flight was cancelled. Bernard, at the front desk was friendly, very helpful and polite. He personally brought extra pillows we requested up to our room. The hotel lobby was beautiful and our room was very nice. The bed was comfy, providing a great nights sleep.

If you need accommodations near the airport, this is the ideal place. The hotel and rooms were very clean and the staff friendly. The food from the grill downstairs was of fine restaurant quality. I was totally surprised. A nice lounge area outside was very nice. Though close to the airport, our room was very quiet. We had no complaints whatsoever and I will stay here again. Very nice!

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn by the Baton Rouge airport. The hotel itself and staff were nice and service was good, but I was extremely disappointed to learn there was no breakfast included and it was $12.95 if we wanted breakfast. Will not stay there again.

I am a loyal HGI customer for years. I love their air mattress, so I chose them for this. The problem in THIS HGI is that only the king beds have them. Nowhere when you make a reservation is this visible. When I arrived I noticed right away that the beds were not the air mattress. I visited for a meeting and was very please with the facility and had a great stay. The room along with the bed was very comfortable. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again! Did not try the food but facility looked clean and inviting.

We like the Hilton brand because it has consistency in its standards and in this case a very affordable option for a quick business trip to Baton Rouge. The Hilton Garden Inn is about half of what some other brands charge in the city and, having stayed at some of them, I can state that it is a better hotel. It is across from the airport and it takes only 10 minutes on the 110 to get downtown or to the government complex.

The hotel was pretty, comfortable, very clean, and reasonably priced! We enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. There were a variety of choices, PLUS a short order cook who did a great job. The staff was positive and friendly. I also like that the rooms have Keurigs coffee/tea makers in them, and disposable cups. :) Now that we are at a point where we travel more often, Hilton is our hotel of choice.

The staff were very curtious and kind to my family and I. The room and bathroom were very clean. The pillows were lovely, just right for my wife and I. Fresh sheets of course! The breakfast was excellent!!! My wife and 3 boys thoroughly enjoyed the food. The cook was so nice, he even made us fresh eggs upon request. The overall customer service was nothing short of perfect. I'm definitely giving this location a perfect mark.

Staff seems untrained for this level of work. Almost like the location is such that training and retaining good employees is very difficult. This letting the overall experience fall well below a normal Hilton Hotel experience.

The front desk personal was very rude among check in. Rooms smelled musty and carpet felt moist. Did not accommodate guests who don't like soft pillows. (The beds were great though) the guy at the front desk was too busy talking on his phone to actually check me and my co worker out of our rooms. Look for another hotel if you're looking for good service and cleanliness.

Very nice, friendly and close to the city. Breakfast is not free but they do cook to order and it includes the usual items of most free breakfasts. I would stay here again as I am Hilton Honors member.

In my case, my stay was very nice from the moment I entered the lobby and through the checkout process. I spent seven days at the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with. The restaurant provided very good meals at a reasonable price. My room was clean and everything functioned as it should. The location, close to the airport, was a plus for my purposes with the benefit of not hearing noise from airplane or local auto traffic.

My kids and I went with my husband to Baton Rouge for a business trip. The people at the front desk were nice, as well as most of the other hotel staff. However, in our room my children found pills in the bedside table. My children are older, but imagine what could have happened if it was a toddler or young child! We also found stains that looked like blood, on multiple towels. I was disappointed in our room, as we have always had good experiences with the Hilton brand.

Overall this hotel is adequate, and delivers good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I did not experience any excess noise or disturbances. The bed was a bit soft for my liking, but it was comfortable. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room as well as a Kurig. The staff was friendly.

My experience was average. I was overcharged for my room. Once the correction was made, it billed my card twice. Thought breakfast was complimentary. My room guest went down, started eating, was then presented with a bill. Bill had to be charged to my room acct.

Needed a one-night stay near the airport. This hotel met all of our needs including on-site dining and airport shuttle. The hotel staff made our quick visit easy and pleasant. The Garden Grill offered local flavor. My daughter enjoyed the gumbo.

I was in Baton Rouge during a difficult time: the aftermath of the ambush and killing of police officers there. I felt welcomed and cared for; the staff was professional, courteous, warm, and kind. I have stayed at several hotels in BR. On a fairly recent trip we opted to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn (Baton Rouge Airport). Its not typically my first chain of choice but we gave it a shot. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. When I retired for the evening, I could tell that the thread count on the sheets was high. Sheets with a high thread count are a must for me because they feel so good.

Hilton Gatden Inn was okay, but there was excess loud noise during the night and early morning hours, preventing good and necessar sleep for the next day's travel. Restaurant prices were much too expensive at the hotel, so ate in other places.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel bar is nice and the food at the restaurant is very good. This hotel is very close to Southern University where we have a daughter so we will visit often. The BTR airport is across the street. It also convenient to the highway and restaurants.

Very good. Hotel was stellar. Staff was very nice but visibly overwhelmed. Our house flooded so we headed there to " take refuge" . And so did the rest of the city. The staff handled it best they could. But they are by the airport so they should be prepared for overbooking? But the stay was lovely.

I had to change rooms after check in. The first room had a strange odor. Then when I walked toward the beds, I noticed the floor was very saturated around the beds. So I went downstairs, and notified the front desk and they provided me with another room. There were no additional rooms I selected, therefore I did not receive the room that I paid for. This place is the capital of mold all the hallways are hot with no Ac and the Ac partially works in the rooms. The entire fifth floor of this hotel is moldy mildewy and the carpet is wet when we asked about the conditions they look at us with a blank stare and said it was always that way totally unacceptable.

We spent the night here after an LSU game. Were able to check in online beforehand, which was very convenient. Especially considering it was midnight when the game finally ended. Was quick and simple getting our key and getting to the room. Room was on first floor and was quiet. Bed was comfortable. The entire hotel smells musty and has mold present. Do not stay here!!!! Rooms are all old and smell. I had to stay here for a month after the Louisiana floods for work and hated every minute of it. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable. Horrible local service at restaurants. Bad neighborhood. Damp suite. Uncomfortable beds. The service was OK. Nothing bad happened but no one goes out of their way to make things pleasant, either. First, there aren't many hotels available in the city right now so I am happy to have a room. I was looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay near the airport. I got all of these things and even got a reasonable price for this stay. Prices vary but it was 125 for this night. The restaurant in the hotel was good for dinner and breakfast. I used the free hotel shuttle to the airport. I would definitely stay again.

What a nice hotel! From check-in to check-out, the staff was friendly and helpful! The breakfast was very good and coffee was in the lobby all day! I am a Hilton Honors member and travel a lot for business. I am very disappointed and disgusted in this location. The hotel smells like old cigarette smoke. Found hair in my bed and shower. There is no hot water on the fifth floor. How do I shower. I mean it is unbelievable Hilton owns a property this disgusting. I'm extremely disappointed and am considering switching my company to a different franchise to stay in for travel.

I fly in and out of Baton Rouge Airport multiple times and month and I wouldn't choose any other hotel to stay at. The staff alone makes the trip worth it. During check in I had a simple request, away from the elevator and on the backside of the hotel to have a minimum of noise. I was informed that I would get a room away from the elevator, on the front side. There was no room layout available. The people at the front desk have an important function, they are typically the main contact for the guest. I got there around 7pm, and I asked for a quiet room away from the elevator and away from the traffic. I got a room, on the front side with a lots of noise from the street and the elevator. A mother and son walked in my room at 8am. I am not sure if there key opened my door or maybe the door wasn't shut all the way and they thought the key opened the door. You should always lock the top lock so I kind of take some fault.

It was very pricey due to a football game in the area. The prices need to be a little better than $260 a night in Baton Rouge. You swear it was Mardi Gras season or the saints were playing. Considering we were still close to the hood.

When in Port Allen you need to go to Baton Rouge to find decent accommodation. Hilton Garden Inn is always an oasis in a desert of <1* motel/hotels. The accommodation was great, beds comfortable, were running late so had to skip breakfast which have always been delicious in the past, location a bit off the track but by only 10 minutes.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I travel world wide all of the time and basically live in hotels. The highlight was the desk staff who were very helpful and nice. the location was excellent for my purpose. Away from downtown Baton Rouge traffic. Parking was great and free, I plan to stay there going forward whenever im in Baton Rouge. I think the price was a little high but not outrageous. No real complaints at all.

Usual high standards met by this hotel. Difference is the staff. You'll be greeted by everyone one you see - whether it's the front desk staff or the housekeeping crew. As a Hilton Honors member & frequent customer of this hotel, I'd like to address a few recurring statements I've seen in reviews: 1) "Its an old hotel"- I work in the area often. this hotel is maybe 12 years old tops has been renovated at least once since built, and is completely modern inside, 2) "Off the beaten path"- Its an airport hotel across the street from the airport, no surprises there. 3) "No food in the area" - exactly one block from this hotel is: Domino's Pizza, Sonic Drive In, Burg... Decent hotel but way over priced especially being next to the loud airport. Definitely should re-evaluate your cost and try again. Over $200 for a one night stay in a sub par hotel and I'll never book again.

I love this hotel! The breakfast and restaurant food is amazing! To be exact the entire staff is amazing! If you ever in the area this is definitely the hotel you want to stay at. Great gym with free hand weights and modern exercise equipment.

Didn't know what to expect when meeting my girlfriend's family. The friendliness of the staff made the experience a little easier. A good breakfast was great start to the day and held me over to the holiday meal.
