Usually I never consider anything below 4 stars but figured I'd give this place a shot given the price was that much lower. Well now I know why. Very dumpy place with a mix of mildew and stale smoke smell. Needed an updating about fifteen years ago, though they did give it the ol college try in the shower. Not the least is it's conveniently located next to a highway so the paper thin windows do a horrible job shielding the sound. But hey saved some coin...

On a short business trip. I wanted a hotel close to our seminar downtown, that offered a full breakfast. This hotel was what I expected. The hotel is older but everything worked and it was up to date. Hotel staff friendly. Good value for location.

To me the price for the room were little expensive. For what they have to offer at $253 for a 2 night stay and the breakfast they served in the morning wasn't up to par(no eggs or bacon) from what I've had before at other hotels at the same price. To me they should charge about $70 to 80 range for what they have to offer and where they are located. I will say rooms were limited in the area due to the National Archery Competition going on that week.

Room was newly renovated, plenty of space, had beautiful new tile in the bathroom, had a "clean" remote. There was a reggae festival going on outside & didn't even hear it once the doors shut. Hotel staff was also very friendly & accommodating. It was nice to get a phone call asking if our room was alright.

The only complaint I have is that check out was not until Noon, but housekeeping began knocking on the door at 9am. At that time, we told them that we would be gone at noon. They knocked again at 10:30am, then the front desk gal knocked at 11:30am. Other than felling like they were kicking us out, we enjoyed our stay.

The facility was hard to find it was off the road and not clearly visible. The staff, room and breakfast was all perfect. It was an enjoyable experience, I would recommend this hotel in the future.

We stayed at this property a couple of years ago. It was fine. In fact, it was nice. On this most recent trip the first thing that happened was we hung up clothing only to have the rack pull out of the wall. During our stay we experienced the following: bugs in the bathroom on at least two occasions, the floor was never vacuumed, we were given a completely inaccurate television listing, the television lost several channels one night, the air conditioner broke, the area where we walked the dog... Only problem was the pool closed at 9pm. When out sightseeing coming back and jumping in pool would have been splendid. We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the pool as we would have like and WHY we booked this hotel. Toilets don't flush easily. Must press and hold handle.

This hotel appears to house the homeless and other people down on their luck. Many men and women loitering, standing in front of their hotel room smoking and staring into space. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who anyone who wants to feel safe and comfortable.

With two conventions in Louisville, there were few choices left so we stayed here. We should've kept looking. This is the kind of hotel that you see in movies where grifters stay when they are trying to keep one step ahead of the law. Fitness center was a joke. Carpet in my room was damp, I am assuming from being cleaned versus a flood.

I just checked out of the hotel. And I have also worked in the hotel industry for 7 years. We were surprised to see the hotel room access is from outside. (No big deal) The room carpet/sheets on bed were damp. I went to the lobby to work on homework for my summer college course when a group of men came into check in with a sports team around 11pm. The young man working the desk was unable to locate the reservation. Instead of going above and beyond for these guys (offering to find other accommod... Read more

Stayed here because of proximity to the VA hospital, it's very close. There was only one room left because of a lacrosse tournament, so I expected a lot of noise, but it was very quiet. We faced River Road and it was very pretty looking out in the morning, enjoyed the waffles for breakfast at an outside table watching the bikers and joggers going by. Downtown Louisville isn't too far, the freeway entrance ramp is right there. The price on this visit was was around $25 more than the last Frid... Read more

The room smelled like old stale cigarette smoke. The lamps had Cobb webs on them and I had to clean all of the light switches, air conditioner buttons were totally gross, had to clean bath tub and there was hair everywhere. The floors turned your socks black. Told the guy when checking out and he said he would alert the director of housekeeping.

I did not expect much and got what I expected. It is in a good location in the city if you want to be near the Water Tower and excellent dining. Highway access to many parts of the city is good. At one time, I think an attempt was made to update, but it seems to have failed in use of materials and workmanship. All rooms have exterior entrances, which as a woman, I do not like. The only positive that I can express is that the bed was reasonably comfortable. The room smelled of smoke, but wa... Read more

the only redeeming factors of this Ramada: proximity to Historic Locust Grove(I went for a festival located there), the El Nopal Mexican restaurant located on site; and the courtesy of Patsy at the reception desk(she was so helpful and greeted me each time I entered and left the lobby area!!) Poor bathroom facilities(toilet leaked, tub drain wouldn't close), poor Wi-fi connection, too few electrical outlets, 2 days in a row our housekeeper did not leave cups/glasses in room, room not clean. Made my reservation on line while sitting in traffic in Cincinnati. The hotel is more of a motor inn than a hotel. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Help was a little rude. I often use Booking.com and have never, until this stay, had my card charged before the day of the stay. Not only did they charge before we arrived...it was a day or two before. Bathroom door wouldn't close completely and would get stuck to where you began to think you were trapped in the bathroom. Overall, very dumpy for a Ramada...almost seemed kinda seedy.

I was very disappointed, there was construction and the only lighting or signage I could see was for the Mexican restaraunt. When I got to the room it seemed clean but the bed had white bugs. Even those I booked 2 non refundable night stays- I checked out the next day and paid for another hotel room. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
