The room was ok, kind of small. The bathroom showed signs of wear. The breakfast was limited. Not what I expected for the price. The ice machine was on the first floor and I was on the second floor. They did have a luggage caddy which made taking suitcases to the room easier. I would look for another hotel the next time I am in Louisville.

Rooms are very small and basic, but adequate and clean. Hotel is close to multiple restaurants and a 15 minute ride from the KY Expo Center. Good value for the money. Perfect place if you're looking for a clean bed and shower that's a convenient distance from the Expo Center/ Fairgrounds.

We have for the last 18 years when we go to the Louisville, Ky area to visit stay at the Microtel Hotel, and we always stay from Friday and Saturday, Since there was a AARP convention the room on Friday, was going to be # 175.00 and Saturday it was $155.00. in which we usually pay $74.00-79.00 per night. So we didn't want to pay either price, but we only book Saturday, because our daughter had graduated and we wanted to be there for that. But in all Microtel is the only hotel we stay at, we ... It is what it is. You're paying for a room. Using the Wyndham name can heighten your expectations as in other reviews, no refrigerator, small room, clean, no iron.ironing board. They have free continental breakfast with about four tables to sit in. Don't show up late or you will find nothing. This inn serves its purpose, you'll have a room, that is clean and free breakfast.

We have used MicroTel several times - but likely won't again. No refrigerator, no microwave, minimal breakfast offerings - and no cookies in the afternoon. Mostly disappointing :-) It was clean and well cared for - but very small rooms and ever-changing staff at the main desk - some less than friendly :-(

Where the overall stay was great, I was deeply disappointed that mini-fridges did not come as standard amenities. We have medicine that needs to be kept cool, and the ice buckets were 2nd choice at best. Also we could not refreeze our blue ice. Our two day stay complicated the issue of cool meds. Less amenities for a cheaper price was your goal I assume, but your price was average to all the other places we stayed on our trip and they had fridges. Disappointed.

The room and amenities are solid. I would rate this Microtel a 3.75 out of 5 stars. It would be rated higher if you had a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Our flight arrived early in Kentucky from New York. We got an early check-in to a very clean room. While the room was small, it was okay for us because we were there for a very short time. We had no place to entertain as the only available seating didn't include a drink table. I would say this was a perfect room for an executive looking for a clean room without the extras of an iron or refrigerator.

I chose this hotel because of price, I was dropping my youngest off for her new college journey and money was tight. I was skeptical because of the name and price, but I'm headed back to spend some time with my daughter and without hesitation I booked a room again. Thanks for finding a way to give travelers a great affordable place to stay. And the breakfast was delicious.

We stay at microtels when we travel and we were disappointed with the Louisville Micotel. No frig, no microwave, no doors on the closets, room was exceptionally clean, breakfast was terrible...no seating in lobby. Guest service was OK. Always felt like we were bothering the desk help when we had questions. We will continue to be loyal customers because of all the other great experiences we had staying at other microtels. This Micotel gives other microtels a bad name.

My kiddo and I went to Kentucky Kingdom and last minute decided to stay the night and go again the next day. This hotel was a perfect fit for us. Since we weren't planning to stay a night, we didn't pack anything. This hotel gave us a tooth brush and tooth paste upon request. The staff was super friendly, location is right off the interstate and is near fast food places and Cracker Barrel, and the free breakfast was perfect. And free wifi! Rooms are smaller, first thought I had when I went in was it looked European! Very cute, functional room, comfy bed and linens, air conditioning worked great. Hotel staff was helpful. Little details like not the softest towels, outlet further away on one side of bed and lack of conditioner kept me from rating 5, but these are minor and acceptable for the excellent price of this hotel. I appreciate their green initiative with bedding and towels. I can breeze through the breakfast area in the morning and grab oatmeal, peanut butter and a banana to eat at work. It's just perfect for me!

Small rooms that we actually loved and found comforting but the eufi didn't work well. The real problem was with the staff. We called for a late check out and were told "no"....first time ever I've that has happened to me. I know they can do late check outs....I heard a guy the night before request one.....so I don't know what the problem was. Second problem was the price. When we called and booked the room, we were told one thing and when I got my bill I had to go back in and request the dif... Read more

Our stay was an out-of-town overnight stay. The room had fewer amenities than I had expected but we muddled through. The breakfast bar was poor, there was no in-room coffee maker or refrigerator. I was in a hurry when I made this reservation due to a death in the family and I didn't check fully enough for what we normally like to have. But we had enough to get by for one night.

We were pleased with our stay at Microtel in Louisville. We found it to be comfortable and clean. They could use new pillows - but aside from that it was nice. Breakfast was also quite acceptable!

Once again, we got to stay at one of my favorite places. Whenever in Louisville, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The rooms exceptionally clean, staff always helpful and the rates are very affordable. What's not to like. My wife and I highly recommend this motel.

This was my second visit to Microtel Inn Louisville East. This visit was as nice as the first time. The property is super clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and accommodating. I requested a quiet room on the top floor and that is what I got. Room 312 was on the top floor in the corner and it was comfortable and very quiet. Everything in the room was in order--clean sheets, towels, room, floors. While I slept in and didn't get a chance to sample the continental breakfast, it was great th... Read more

Stopped at this location on a trip from WI to GA. Good location, Cracker Barrel close. Room was clean and comfortable. Night clerk was pleasant although daytime staff were not. Went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, not much at motel except typical bagels, stale muffins, cold cereal and waffles. I would not stay at this location again only because they charge a $30.00 add'l pet fee. For one night and a 9 pound dog this is outrageous and not in line with what I have paid at other Microtels that a... Read more

I stayed 3 nights. the hotel was clean and up to date. Breakfast was good (no eggs or waffles) staff was very pleasant. There is no refrig. or microwave or coffee pot in room. That was fine with me, but should be noted for others. The price was good. When I called and they quoted me a price $74 for 2 nights and the Saturday was $97. I told them that the $97 was killing me and I wouldn't take the room. He came back with $54 for 2 nights and $75 for Saturday. That I could do and was very... Read more

A business trip delivering a Custom-built truck brought me to the Eastern side of Louisville. I was directed to an area by my customer that I was unfamiliar with but that offered a nice variety of well-known Hotels. However, unknown to us there was a huge gardening convention nearby that used up virtually every hotel room among the dozen or so hotels. After checking with six and getting the same response; "Sorry, all sold out" I happened upon this Microtel where the front desk clerk, Vanessa,... Read more

Great for the price. It was a quiet stay. There were a large number of people checking in around midnight, but the desk clerk stayed positive with a sudden rush of people. The room was clean and comfortable. The wi-fi, however, was quite spotty. It wasn't easy to stay connected to. In the morning, their breakfast area can be a bit problematic too. If there are a large number trying to eat at once, the small breakfast room gets very crowded, and it is difficult to navigate. The seating for brea... Read more

Recent overnight stay wasrestful at this clean and friendly-staffed site. Near sister competitors in a well-lit safe area (great for female traveling alone!) with most everything you need. My only complaint would be that I had to go to front desk to get an iron and ironing board for use - and then a trip back down to return it. Otherwise a great stay!

We stayed here overnight on out way to a family reunion in Branson, MO. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The check-in was quick and easy and the clerk was very sweet. Surprisingly, though the hotel is situated right next to a busy interstate, the noise level overnight was not bothersome in the least. Plus, there are several restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. All in all, it was a very good experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This was a nice hotel. The room decor was clean, modern and functional, with a huge amount of storage and comfortable beds. very quiet as well. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. My only issues? The flat panel tv was a bit on the small size, and the water pressure in the shower was adequate, I do prefer a stronger stream of water. This was my first stay at a Microtel, but if the others are like it, I'm sure it won't be my last.

No surprise because of the name, the room lobby and dining area were tiny. The service was what you would expect from a much more expensive hotel. I assumed a room fridge and iron. No room for frills like that but staff put some things in fridge and freezer and had iron and board in office area. Breakfast was adequate in variety and good in quality. Plates were small and flimsy. We would recommend it if you want cheap and clean and don't need space or frills.

The bed was extremely hard. Everything available for breakfast with either or cold or stale. When we checked out early they charged my credit card an additional night they did refund it but not sure why they even charged it to begin with. I will not stay there again I will pay the extra money and stay at a better hotel.

I have been staying at this Inn for over 10 years. Each time is enjoyable. It is in the ideal location to see family, play golf, and shop, eat. The rooms are very clean, beds smell fresh. Great sleeping even though I-64 is right outside. You can walk to Cracker Barrel if you want a meal and not drive anywhere.

I saw this hotel was pet friendly so I booked it. Unfortunately I didn't read the fine print saying no cats so when I went to check in, the girl (looked like she was 18) just stated "we don't accept cats. I'll cancel your reservation". No "I'm so sorry - let me try to find you a place that can accommodate you". Extremely rude.

Microtel is a reasonable place to stay and we do not usually stay for more tha a night, but this time we were at a convention and stayed three night. The name is appropriate as the rooms are small. There is not microwave. The breakfast is OK but the dining area is terrible. You have to vie with peole for the few seats and there are spread over two areas.

My only suggestion is if you offer rooms for the disabled, I feel the bathtubs need to be walk-in for better accessibility. I had knee surgery and couldn't lift my leg to get in the shower. The only complaint I have is my room was across from laundry and workers were constantly going in and out and the door would slam every time making it a little hard to rest. Upon arrival in the room I turned the heat on and immediately the smoke detector came on. I called the front desk and was told to "not worry about it and that it would go off in 5 to 10 minutes". I have never had this happen before and believe that there is a problem that needs to be looked into. My husband wanted to leave. It was so noisy that it was impossible to stay in the room. Very bad first impression of the hotel.
