It's hard to see the postive when a hotel has a jack hammer working from 8 to 6! No pool access. The lobby bar is closed. And the restaurant opens at 5. Having to carry luggage through the personal office space to get to elevators. Soda vending machines not taking money(remember the bar is closed). There's office rooms galore, but hard to use with the jack hammering. I say in 2+ years it'll be a fabulous hotel....until then steer clear if you want to relax by the pool, bar, or in your room...

Hello unsuspecting patrons who may have booked or been booked by someone at this hotel. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I am on the road upwards of 250 days per year for work. Typically seamless stays in Mariotts or Holiday Inn depending on which boss is booking. In these cases, we usually have some warning if a hotel is undergoing major construction. This hotel is undergoing major construction. Lobby is not conveniently located, especially when arriving late during a storm. ... Read more

Very disappointing meeting facility. This property was undergoing a major renovation and the catering/sales manager did not inform our group of the renovation (even though the contract says we were to be informed) The conference center was in such a disarray that we had to enter the meeting room via the employee entrance. 90 people had to use the employee bathrooms which then backed up early in the morning leaving our participants the only option which was to walk through the kitchen to get to t... Hotel is currently under renovation. Pool, fitness center, and business center are closed. We stayed in a renovated room; it was very nicely redone, but the walls are still very thin. We heard what felt like every door on the floor when it opened/closed. Also, the new blinds in the room didn't cover the entire window; light still came in around the cracks.

This hotel was under construction during our visit. The only way the construction inconvenienced us was that the main entrance was closed making unloading a good walk from elevators. The reception area was obviously temporary which should not explain why the staff was very curt and unfriendly. They knew the hotel was booked completely for a big convention 8 miles away and never offered the hotel shuttle or info on cabs. The room was lovely, renovations are nice but very cold atmosphere.

You can tell that this hotel has been newly remodeled, but the service and staff still won out for being top notch! We did not have a chance to try the restaurant, but I'd certainly come back to this property when I'm back. The only thing I would say for improvement is to redo the parking lot, but maybe that is in the works.

We stayed here one night last week on a road trip. Thankfully the renovations are done and it is a very nice hotel. We did not use the bar or restaurant so we can't comment on either. We used some Verizon points to bring the room cost down to just over $100. The staff was very friendly and even called our room to see if we were happy. The only thing that bothered us is the AC blows right on the person sitting at the desk. Not much to do about that. The lobby and rooms are nicely decorated with... Read more

Most disappointing stay at any HI/HIE! Web site stated under construction until May 2016. 9/10 June went to bed with hammering, woke up at 7 by more hammering. We were not acknowledged as preference HI card users, no clue if we got points or not. New smell was overwhelming ...no EVO used in the updates. AC not updated, loud and noisy all night. Many items in room didn't work or were broken, need to do "punch" list for that room. Took 15 minutes to get hot water. On check out I complained about e... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for a business function for one week. I was asked to be a presenter for one of the days of the function. When I checked into the hotel, I was immediately greeted by a staff member. After checking into my room, I noticed the temperature was 82 Degrees in the middle of June. After adjusting the thermostat and waiting 15 minutes, it was evident that there was a problem since the air conditioning continued to produce "hot air." The gentleman working the front desk apologi... Read more

Nice hotel since they remodeled. Rates are normally pretty good. But they jack up the rate if there is something in town and still charge full rate when some amenities are not available. That to me is a rip.

Nothing to really write home about. The staff was friendly and helpful, but beyond that it is just another hotel. The bed was not that comfortable, on the hard side of the scale. The pillows were marked firm, but were soft at best. The property was still having some work done, one evening we returned and found a disturbing odor in the hallways from the days work. The air conditioning unit in our room was right beside the bed and was very loud. We did not use the restaurant at all, so no commen... Read more

The people were friendly, the lobby is very nice, the location right off the interstate was excellent. But the room was not: the bathroom door didn't close, the faucet handle in the shower fell off in my hand; the only bed covering was a duvet which meant turning the A/C way down so as not to be too hot. There was a mini-fridge, though no temperature adjustment and not very cool; no microwave. These are things I expect in a low-end chain but not for the cost you pay here. We were only here o... Stayed here on business. I'm an IHG member so I stay at a lot of Holiday Inns. This is one of the worst. Checking in seemed to take forever. There were 6 people ahead of me and it took about 20 min. The property is going through a needed renovation, so the facilities are not quite up to par. However, that is no excuse for not having a microwave or fridge in the room. Also, the ice/vending area doesn't have an ice maker and the Coke machine is broken. I went up to the next floor and that Coke ma... Read more

We drove into Louisville for a concert and stayed at the Holiday Inn. I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn in quite some time and I was surprised at how nice it was. The room was well designed, bed was very comfortable. The room was equipped with a refrigerator. Nice large TV. I was very impressed. The next time I come to Louisville I will definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn.

Stayed 4 nights. At check in, I commented to the receptionist how pretty the lobby was. Our room was nice as well. Beds were very comfortable. I would have liked some drapes on my windows since the blinds allow slivers of light to come through. I noticed some rooms have drapes but perhaps those have not yet been renovated. The pool was being renovated when we were there. Overall, a nice place to stay and convenient to everything.

I stayed here about 4 years ago, and they've totally renovated this hotel. It is clean and modern and the room is super nice and clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar here that offers room service for a $2.95 up charge plus gratuity. Will definitely be staying here again when I have to be in Louisville.

Let's just say the renovated Holiday inn is awesome!!! The rooms are modern and even have a keurig in them for coffee. The lobby area is the first thing you'll see and its Art Deco. The front desk attendant ( ours was Shawn) will be the most helpful person you'll meet all day. There is still some renovations going on , but this place is headed for fame. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family.

Stayed for a couple days on business. Once you find the well hidden elevator ( behind the Pillar) the elevator was quick and quiet. The rooms were very nice Kurieg coffee and tea.
