Only inconvenience was the fact that some vending machines only took silver change and there were some floors that didn't have one. We were very happy with how clean the room was and liked that the hotel staff let our delivery guy come to our floor rather than us having to go get it in the lobby.

The room was fine and clean it was the pool that upset us. We went down to the pool before dinner on Saturday night and it was disgusting. There were no clean towels and used dirty ones were everywhere. We noticed clumps of hair off to the side of the pool and the water was murky with hair and things floating in it, which we noticed after we got into the water, which lasted about 5min before I went upstairs and took a shower since I felt so dirty. I did inform the front desk and they apologized ... Read more

We choose this hotel due to its proximity to the wedding venue and "walkability" to downtown, we did not rent a car. There is an airport shuttle, and the airport is 10 minutes away and the shuttle is also available to use within an eight block area of the hotel. The staff, from reception to breakfast, to housekeeping were all friendly and helpful when needed. The room was comfortable and clean. A nice place to spend the weekend.

Overpriced. Indoor pool was FREEZING! Shuttle service was a nice option, but not timely! Hotel location was outside of downtown not in walking distance of many options. Otherwise, pretty average or less than average hotel.

The hotel was situated well for a short drive or about a 10-15 min walk to dowtown restaurants and attractions and offered a close proximity to local highways. The hotel staff was very helpful and having the breakfast free was a decision point which proved to be important with our family of 4.

Nothing but praise for the hotel itself. Comfortable room and lobby, very good breakfast. But the night I stayed, in a room facing Jefferson St, street noise kept me awake. If you don't like street noise, get a room facing the river.

This is a Great hotel location and is in walking distance of many town center destinations and restaurants. The hotel needs updated and the room I rented was smaller than I expected. The bathroom door would hit the entry door and not much room around the beds.. My room had two beds but in my opinion this size room should have had only one bed in it.

My daughter and I stayed here one night on our way through town. We checked in late and the staff was able to suggest several good options for a late night dinner. The hotel in conveniently located within walking distance of a variety of places. The room was clean as was the bathroom. We experienced no issues during this visit. We did not eat here so I cannot comment on that. The parking lot is small, the pool looked welcoming.

Felt humid and musty. Bedspread was dingy, pillow cases were stained with mascara, grimy bathroom. Sketchy part of town. A cheap floor fan was sitting In the hallway on the floor I was on. Was expecting much more from a Hilton chain facility. Street noise was terrible even though I was in 4th floor.

Very good for a short stay, but lacks drawers to put underwear, etc. Service was good. Room was comfortable. Very good for the price. The lobby had many comfortable chairs that could be used for relaxing or even an informal meeting. The fitness room had some typical equipment, but the multi-purpose weight machine was a bit confusing to use, It was possible to keep somewhat fit by jogging on the treadmill. The pool looked good, but I did not find the time to use it.

Although I had some issues with the facility, the staff was extremely helpful in every aspect. The facility had some air conditioning issues, which is difficult when it's 90+ degrees outside, but they did finally rectify this. I would definitely recommend staying at the Hampton Downtown Louisville, since the location was great.

The hotel is within walking distance to attractions and restaurants. The room was clean and average size. There was some street noise as it sits on a busy road. If you don't have to be downtown, don't stay there because there is major road construction that makes it very difficult to get in and out of downtown. If you're mainly going to do the Bourbon Trail, stay outside of Louisville to avoid all the traffic issues.

This is a fairly typical "middle aged" Hampton Inn. It has a large surface level parking lot so you don't have to deal with a parking deck which is always nice in an urban property, although the check in staff didn't tell me that there is a $6.00 daily fee which in any event isn't bad and beyond that small oversight the staff was very friendly and attentive. The free shuttle, provided by the hotel, took us to the Slugger museum. It was wonderful not to have to take our own car and worry about parking.

I love Hampton Inns. They have comfortable rooms, quality linens, and a free breakfast that has variety, healthy choices and something for everyone. I appreciate the pool and hot tub, great to help me unwind after a day of travel. And on this trip they were close to major highways so I am not adding extra travel time.

It was clean but definitely not the most quiet hotel I have stayed in. A firehouse must be nearby and heard sirens going by often. If a neighbor in a room next door showered early - you were sure to hear it! It was clean. Can't complain about that. Location is good that it is near downtown. Downside there are no nearby restaurants. At least a couple blocks. They do offer a complimentary shuttle to take you and pick you in the area which is really nice!!

Typical Hampton, clean, courteous, OK breakfast. Walk to major downtown sights/restaurants, or use free shuttle to tourist attractions. Great driver! We travel a lot, and just want a no-hassle check in/out process, help with any issues that come up, and a clean room/common areas. This met all those needs. The staff is well trained and customer oriented. They make the stay easy, and had good suggestions for events, restaurants and attractions. Good place to stay at mid range price level.

Stayed for conference at hospital. When we arrived, room was dank and had stains to countertops / glasses / TV. Dust on all surfaces. Walls are paper thin...neighbors making noise from 1-4 am. Front desk and security was called, no one intervened. Will not be staying here again.

This hotel is ALWAYS clean, it smells good, not like a hotel and the bed linens are fresh and comfortable. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean. My room had a refrigerator and microwave which made my visit easier and like a home away from home. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and has something for every diet and taste. The breakfast staff stays on top of replenishing. We stayed two nights so we could enjoy the sights of Louisville. It is very clean and the rooms are spacious. Parking on site is easy and affordable. Breakfast was good. This hotel is so well located that you can walk to most places. The Louisville Slugger factory is a must see and the walk there is so interesting - there are places to stop and read about the greats of baseball - look for the bronze bats located along the sidewalks. It is a very short walk to 4th Street pedestrian mall and and a... Read more

Booked here on business. Was not that impressed. Had to be moved due to unclean shower and not draining properly. Was moved to a new room and the shower still had draining problems. In addition the sink was slow in draining and the water would not get hot in the morning when I tried to take a shower. Only good thing was the free breakfast was pretty decent. I wouldn't book here again on my own....but had no choice as this is where my company booked me.

We were here for a business conference for 4 days so did not get to choose this hotel. It is under outside renovation (see photos) and there was a constant beeping sound from the equipment all around the hotel which could be heard inside our room on the 3rd floor. (Our second room) The outside and the indside of the hotel and in the parking lot was filled with workmen at all hours of the day. I think they were staying in the hotel. We were also approached several times for cash and spare change ... Read more

I'm not sure what all of the five-star people saw in this hotel that we didn't. Breakfast was free, but the food was terrible. Parking is free, but it's nearly impossible to turn into the lot or out of it if you need to turn left and not be side-swiped. The shower temperature plate was broken so you could never tell if the water was set to hot or cold, and the boiler broke while we were there so we had cold showers one morning. There's no fan in the bathroom to clear the steam. The comforter sli... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for a few days for a work conference. The hotel itself was fine, I didn't have any issues. I will say it is downtown and close to multiple hospitals so you will hear a lot of sirens..often. Not a quiet hotel spot. It's within walking distance to the Fourth Live Street which was very nice, lots of restaurants there as I didn't notice any other restaurants around the hotel.

The breakfast is very good and like other Hamptons, they have great coffee. The entire surrounding area that construction and one-way streets and it was next to impossible to maneuver your way around. The only eating places nearby were pizza places and there were no parking spaces available at those restaurants. So the best thing to do would've been to try walking to one. There was no explanation given over the phone at the time of booking that there was construction and that I should be aware of that.

Close enough to walk to all the great spots, far enough away from the night spots to avoid the noise. Great access to the highways to head back to the airport or across the river to Indiana. Wednesdays during the summer they had free concerts at the river. It was a nice walk and great music.

We have 3 major issues during the stay and received no apology. 1) No Bedding for the sleeper sofa 2) The heat in the bedroom didn't work 3) The bed frame was not put together correctly. There was a large iron bar sticking out and my wife gouged her leg on it. During checkout I told the desk clerk and she wrote a note and said "okay", no "sorry for the issue".
