I was pleasantly surprised at how nice everything turned out. There were four of us and we had two double rooms. We were there for the Kentucky Derby. I was counting on the Wyndham name but troubled by the reviews I read, but glad we took a chance. We really enjoyed the breakfast, it was beyond the typical "continental breakfast". They had boiled eggs, variety of pastries, sausage, hot biscuits and a waffle maker. The hotel is dated but the rooms were clean. The desk clerk, Today, was help... Read more

We stayed at the Baymont Inn for a business trip. Staff was friendly and courteous during check-in and check-out. Unfortunately we were in a second floor room with several bags and this hotel does not have an elevator. The main lobby staircase is not very wide and it was difficult to maneuver our bags up the stairs when other guests were coming down the stairs. The room was neat and clean when we arrived. Housekeeping did an okay job cleaning up the room after the first night. We did not get the... Read more

The hotel staff were very friendly and even though under staffed worked hard to meet your needs. Rooms were clean but had old style heater/AC which was not very sleep friendly. Breakfast was OK with hot gravy and biscuits , sausage and waffle, donuts and bagels, could be improved although was very tasty.

Because of the NRA Convention in Louisville, hotel room availability was limited. We booked this hotel because of the close proximity to the Louisville Expo Center. However, this property is in need of a little TLC. The staff was pleasant.

Mildew in the bathroom on the ceiling, around the tub, and around the baseboards. We suffer allergies and this irritated them. Not very clean and smelled bad in the halls & in the room. Also overpriced! Usually do not have this issue at Baymont, they are usually clean and inexpensive. :(

Location was great, right off the highway and restaurants very close, and this hotel is in an enclave not on a strip, which was nice. We stayed for 3 nights in early June 2016. Maintenance on this hotel needs to be improved first and foremost, and it is overdue for some renovations. - fitness room - ac/heat unit is missing the control knobs, and does not turn on so in early June 2016 it is a bit like a sauna in there. - hallways also really warm, hallways and rooms have an unclean smell. - swim... We took our two very young daughters with us. Check in clerk was friendly and quick when we got there at 630. Went to our room to unload and started the ac to be set at 70. We went out to dinner and to another store. Came back and it was still pretty stuffy by 9pm. Tried getting our girls to go to sleep but they were hot. We called and went down to the front desk to report the ac problem close to 1030. Claimed someone would be up. After waiting til 1130p, we finally complained again and we were... Read more

The room had food on the floor. The bathroom was dirty. We had two rooms and the blow dryer did not work in either one. The phone did not work in one of our rooms. They said they would bring one down and the never did. The wallpaper was peeling. The beds were very hard. The pool was not open. The back door was broken so you did not need a key to just walk in.

Booked on Wyndham app. Desk clerk put me in a 2nd floor room, but located an available 1st floor room for me since my 83 year old mom was travelling with me. Room was clean and decent. Morning breakfast was decent also, but the chaffing dishes could have been hotter for the sausages (pork ya know...LOL). All in all a decent hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was well-equipped; however, for the price I expected something much less shabby and more closely monitored. The furnishings and appliances were worn and the lock on the back entrance closest to my room was broken, allowing any passerby entrance to the building. Additionally, there were several loud young men hanging around the parking lot. If the rates were lower I would be comfortable giving a little higher rating, but I really feel like it was overprice... Read more

stayed there with students for a week. Hotel management and staff very accomodating. Rooms are spacious clean and hotel appears to be well maintained. Like in every hotel there are a few small things one could complain about. An overlooked loose screw by the daily room make up person which resulted in the door handle to fall off, may have been a big to do but it was a minor issue for me. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the enterance, lobby, and eating area. The staff were very friendly. The rooms are dated and in need of some much needed paint. The A/C in the fitness room was broken. We stayed on the West side of the building facing the freeway. The walls are very thin making it hard to sleep so close to the freeway. The breakfast bar was well stocked with a simple but acceptable selection. Overall, I would stay here again specifying an East facing room.

I had a pleasant experience here. Baymont has a great breakfast, and rooms and hotel was clean. The only complaint was no elevator and lack of towels. We had my mom who has trouble walking, but they gave us a room on the first floor so the no elevator wasn't much of a problem. The towel issue was kind of sad considering a guest next door to me had to borrow one of my clean towels because the hotel ran out and she was in desperate need. Other than that the over stay at the hotel was excellent.

I didn't eat the breakfast bar, but it appeared to have the standard fare (cereal, fruit, etc...didn't notice if they had the waffle maker most places have).
