Lobby of hotel is in great shape but our room was a little rough. Bad patches in wallpaper and the bath vanity was not put together very well. Walls were kind of thin and doors opening and closing were pretty loud. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Price was a little expensive for the small town and condition of the rooms.

I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in a long time. The pillows and mattress were so comfortable - I would have bought the pillows if they sold them! Room was very clean. The breakfast was one of the best free hotel breakfasts I have had - good selection of eggs, meats, pastries, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juice. The cinnamon rolls are great! Breakfast room staff were very pleasant and nice. Check-in staff could use a lesson in customer service.

We visited here on spring break from AR. It was close to interstate but about 10min from town. Nothing to special about the hotel. Small pool but at least its indoor. Bathroom could had been more updated. Breakfast was good. Probably wouldn't stay here again tough.

Road side hotels don't get much attention unless they are terrible and I've written my share of those reviews in order to warn off other travelers. In addition, these properties outside urban areas or resort locations don't get the traffic their counterparts do located nearer the city. So this is a chance to recommend this hotel as all the things you would and should expect: clean, convenient to the interstate, quiet (trains on the nearby track were infrequent), near a Cracker Barrel and other... Immaculately clean hotel. Room was very spacious. Nice assortment of food for breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had someone from the front desk call to see if the room was satisfactory and if we needed anything - this has only happened in top tier luxury hotels and was a lovely surprise. Excellent value for the price

I am normally a Garden Inn person but didn't have that option during this stay. Well it turns out this place is great. The facility is very clean, the WiFi is strong, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was good. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

You can see from the photos that the rooms need a lot of tlc. We are currently staying at this hotel, attending the Nationals Baseball tournament. Hence, the town is completely full. With the entire team staying here our reservations were made through traveling teams in February with a special request to keep the team together. Upon checking in a fellow family was told no special requests were relayed and basically to bad here is your room. Ok it happens - however with wallpaper falling off th... Read more

Great place to stay! The room was very neat, clean and spacious. The lady at the front desk was very very friendly! We didn't get to try the breakfast, we had an early softball camp to attend. We will go back for sure.

We were booked into this hotel through traveling teams because of the baseball nationals. Unfortunately, several of our team families had issues with water from showers overflowing from rooms above, an air conditioner breaking and leaving the carpeting all wet and causing the room to have a bad moldy odor. The shower curtains if you don't get them in the tub just right, the water floods all over the bathroom floor and unfortunately, the room above one of our families flooded into the room belo... I stay alot at IHG properties and am well familiar with this small-mid size unit in the 'express' chain. Room is decent with adequate decor, preferred shower head. The ac unit filters needed to be cleaned out. Linens were fine. Firm and soft pillow on the bed. it is set back from the highway and we didnt notice noise, but were facing away from it on this little deadend street. Lots of restaurant and some shopping just across the way, this area is a beehive of activity. Staff were friendly but di... Read more

I had made the reservation at this hotel right before I walked in the door because hotels were filling up fast. The clerk was working on something on the computer and asked me to wait. After several minutes, she finally told me about the room and I told her it wouldn't work and asked her to cancel the reservation. It was after 6:00 by this time. She said I would have to call the reservation number at Holiday Inn to cancel. When I called that number, they told me that the hotel would have to canc... Read more

We typically stay at HIE when traveling and have certain expectations of them. This location fell below our expectations. The rooms are on need of updating. Musty smelling, mattress seemed old, even the pillows. If we had paid less than 100 per night, I would think differently. But with rates of 150...I would think that there are better values in the area. Will stay somewhere else if we come back to Elizabethtown next year.

Clean hotel and close to the highway and restaurants. If you are going to Ft. Knox it is bit of a drive. There are some close restaurants all within walking distance. Pool was clean and had hardly anyone in it. The one thing I had never experienced at a hotel was that the TV was satellite and not cable. No issue if the weather is good.

This Hotel is clean, right off of I 65, but the shower which looks different and kind of cool, leaves a lot to be desired. I did not use the shower, but a female in our party did, and water was everywhere, next morning my husband said do not use shower water everywhere and very slippery. So myself and another chose to wait til we got home to shower. Also the breakfast room was very clean but the food was well ugh, except for the homemade Cinnamon rolls which were delicious. I could not even ... Read more

Interesting independently owned IHG hotel. Front staff was very helpful and courteous. Online reservation indicated govt rate as 102, DTS travelers beware- actual lodging per diem is 89.00 which is available at all other local IHG hotel except this one. Very clean but for some travelers were experiencing no cell phone service which is again very odd. Do not like the new shower heads. High level floor was very quiet and the beds were extra comfortable. Refrig and micro in the room which... Read more

Easy access from highway. Clean and comfortable rooms. Needs more outlets for charging all devices. Quiet night. Clean bathroom. Usual mediocre (at best) breakfast, but they're known for the cinnamon rolls. Several nearby restaurants. Stopped here on way to Mammoth Cave in the morning. Got two rooms for us and grandchildren family. Had great difficulty with front desk to arrange our adjoining rooms. Very difficult front desk and had to work with manager and central reservations in several calls.... Read more

Typical Holiday Inn Express. Very nice pool. The bathrooms could use some patching and painting I would agree on the shower heads being pretty lame with not much mph. Overall the place is a bit dated. Breakfast was ok..hot meal was displayed a bit unusual. Easy on and off freeway

Every time I stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Elizabethtown I am impressed with how clean the hotel looks and the great friendly service. The breakfast buffet is loaded with great selections to start the day. I'll be sure to be back again the next time I am in the area.

Oxford was the half way point in our pleasure trip this fall, and we stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites going to and returning from our final destination. The room was modern and remarkably bright. So many hotels I've stayed in lately just don't have enough light to allow you to see anything. I guess they want to be ecologically responsible, however, just putting a 25 watt bulb in a lamp isn't going to get the job done when you need to put make-up on while someone else is in the well-lit bath... We were traveling without making any reservation while on the road. Stopped here and they had rooms, so we decided to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The motel is a little away from all the other businesses and that made it nice for really relaxing.

Great place to stay if you're going on The Bourbon Trail. Easy access to Interstate and restaurants. Room was clean, outside clean, breakfast was very well presented by friendly staff. Will stay here again if I am in the area again.

I stayed at this property on a half-hour's notice after getting too sleepy to drive and calling IHG's reservation line. I was glad the property was there, just off I-65, and had a king bed. The front desk staff was really nice when I checked in. That was the last positive experience I had. To get a king bed I had to take a first-floor room which never feels safe to me. Also I had to get a king suite which was $150 plus tax for the night. For Elizabethtown Kentucky on the interstate that re... Read more

The hotel itself is good. The front desk - when we arrived - is lacking. This woman couldn't care less that we were Spire Elite members or that we wanted to check in (the hotel was essentially empty). It felt like a "whatever" thing - which we did not want after driving 9 hours north. It really wasn't a good arrival experience. We felt like we had to "entertain" the front desk to make them service our booking. Not good. They had some football team in - most guys were respectful. And we w... Read more
