This hotel is very run down. Our room didn't seem very clean and the staff was not friendly. The bed was comfy though. The view of the river is nice and it is in a convenient area. I will not stay here again.

Having never stayed at an Embassy Suites, I had excepted the hotel rooms to have been in better condition. First with the positives. The hotel staff were all friendly and the breakfast was enjoyable, especially the omelets. Our daughter really liked watching Emmy, the parrot in the lobby. Now with the negatives. The parking was confusing and inconvenient. But, I can get over that. The main issues were with the state of disrepair that the room (410) was in. The bathroom smelled, which I... Read more

Room wasn't adequately cleaned. Used sofa bed and had to clean it off first. When checking in, I was sent to a room that was already occupied. Didn't totally ruin my time, but for the amount you pay, I expect more. On the bright side, the managers reception and the breakfast are very nice added touches

We stayed here while visiting Newport for spring break and had a great time. The breakfast and evening reception were an added bonus that made the stay even better. My son loved talking to the Bird, and the view was amazing.

We had to change rooms because of a smell. The 2nd room was so warm we couldn't sleep and nothing could be done. Wouldn't go below 78 degrees. There were 5 people in the room and only brought 1 fan. Did nothing to compensate us for the problems.

The room was pretty but the bathroom wasn't clean enough and the air condition wasn't working well enough for us . The people were very friendly. I just wish the bathroom would have been cleaner it had hairs in the shower. Very sad and nasty bad cleaning job.

I have stayed at this lovely hotel several times(at least 6 times) over the last 5-6 yrs and enjoyed our experiences in the past. This time, it was horrible! The hotel was packed with KIDS and FAMILIES - baseball tournaments somewhere. The behavior of the guests/children was horrible. Kids running around yelling all night and the pool was packed the whole time too. Felt like a 3 star hotel. Very disappointed.

I was greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. My family and I received a free upgrade for being Hilton honors members, which quite honestly is no different from any other room other than the free snacks, water, and soda. Around midnight the hot water line to the shower decided to soak the floor in our room, but a quick phone call to the front desk and we were quickly moved to another room. They even sent someone to our room with the new keys and to help us move which was great because my two ... Read more

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Covington Kentucky at the Italian festival. We stayed at the Embassy suites where we had excellent service, great room and delicious breakfast. On Sunday, after a very fabulous nights rest on the great new mattress at the Embassy suites, we went to the Reds game. Although they lost, we had so much fun, great seats and delicious cold beer.

This hotel is starting to show its age. Rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. Water pressure in the room sink was minimal, however the shower pressure was good. Room treats included a variety of Kurig flavors and an assortment of chips and candy. TV cable variety was slim, yet they said this was being upgraded. The breakfast was fairly standard. For a nice weekend getaway, you can beat Newport--the walk across the river, the German restaurants, and the aquarium. Good location!

Based on a few reviews I had read, I was a little nervous about the condition of this hotel. But I needn't have worried. The whole hotel seemed very clean and probably recently updated. We had a nice room overlooking the river. The evening reception and also the breakfast were well-staffed and the hotel employees seemed like they couldn't do enough for you. My family enjoyed a two bedroom suite with a view of the river. The view was very good. The room was tired and spartan, but clean and comfortable. It was, on the positive, very large. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was OK. I have no major complaints and I have no examples of anything exceptional. I would be happy to stay there again.

My family recently stayed here on our summer road trip. The room was nice. My only real criticism was the happy hour. Very long lines to get a drink, which drove people to get two drinks so they wouldn't have to stand in line, making it go even slower. We stayed 1 night here to attend a concert at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. It is an excellent location to stay for events in downtown Cincy as you can simply walk just under a mile over the bridge- no need to drive. The great thing about Embassy Suites is the "suite"- 2 rooms- one with a King, one with a sofa, desk, chairs, kitchen bar. It also had a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and coffee provided. The one mile walk to Paul Brown stadium was easy to manage, however the total bill of $280 plus $10 parking was overpriced ($250 rate) for the cleanliness of the bathroom and mediocre breakfast. In fact the coffee at breakfast was awful. The room was spacious and mini-frig was handy though I couldn't freeze my gel ice packs for the trip home as it needed defrosted.

This was very convenient for our visit to Cincy. We were able to walk across the bridge and be in the attractions in downtown and at the ballpark (we went to a game). We also enjoyed the little area of Covington, which had some cute restaurants. The breakfast was very good--but the noise in the hall traveled into the room very easily.

I was excited to stay in a home-away-from-home in my hometown for a recent night. This hotel, though charging premium prices for a premium room, fell far below our expectations. The pool was dinky and dingy, the room was dingy and had evidence of multiple (poorly) repairs and the shower was downright disgusting in its appearance. The bright light in the stay? The front desk staff was great. *Paid premium prices for premium suite for in-no-way-premium stay* Sad face.

I enjoyed my 2 day stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was conducive to both families and business travelers. Dinner was very good and the steak was high quality. The restaurant and bar have a nice selection of wines. The location is excellent. It was easy to walk around the city and the area has a neighborhood feel. I will definitely stay here again.

Booked a river view suite for the family for an overnight trip. Staff were absolutely amazing and the extra amenities were a bonus. Room quality was quite disappointing. Required two maintenance calls (broken sink faucet and completely clogged air filter), and if we had stayed longer, would have needed a third call to fix the shower drainage issue. If you like your room cold (or below 73 for that matter), find a different hotel. I will say that our view of the city skyline was very nice, staff ... Read more

Very poor air conditioning. Front desk said it was due to Eco Sensor installed, which supposedly turns on/off the air conditioning by motion within the room. Air conditioner never would cool even when we were staying in the room. For management to choose to pinch pennies on room temperature is pathetic especially at the nightly room rates. Excellent location though.

Stayed here 2 nights on a recent trip to Covington. The hotel was located in a great part of town and within walking distance of the singing bridge. Also, the breakfast and management reception of complementary drinks and appetizers every night are hard to beat! Another great this was that the trolley literally stopped at the hotel front door which was amazing! Highly recommend!

Not what I would expect for a business traveler. Stayed during an extended business trip to Covington. The breadth of services provided helped make a long hotel stay bearable. Hot fresh cooked eggs for breakfast were a daily treat. Nightly manager receptions offered an opportunity to socialize after work. The atrium style of the lobby wasn't conducive to serious business discussion, though, as it can get very loud. Extra doors on the sleeping area keep the room quiet. Complimentary washer/dryers were also helpful. The wait staff were friendl... Read more

Spent 2 days in room with no heat but they "solved" the problem by giving us a space heater we had to run on high for 2 days....if heat is not a deal breaker then this may be the room for you. Hotel has no one to help with luggage although the free breakfast was very good.

I had a quick stay in Covington and enjoyed a great view of Cincinnati. Room was clean and the staff was very helpful. Happy hour and breakfast are nice extras, as at all Embassy Suites. I would recommend.

We were in town for a football game. We had many issues with housekeeping. The worst part was leaving an expensive medical memory foam pillow behind and being told it was not there. We were lied to by housekeeping staff during our stay and I am 100% certain I am being lied to now. The head of housekeeping is still not returning my phone calls.

The complimentary breakfast was awesome and the managers reception was a great way to unwind after long hours of training. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an extended stay (4 weeks) and the bathrooms could have used better attention.

Stayed for one day this past week. Very disappointed. The bedding was all wrinkled and looked like somebody had used it before. Also a very musty smell around the whole hotel. The furniture in bedroom was very old, dated, the whole room did not have a fresh look or feel. Parking was an issue, we did not know when parking at p2, you had to walk up stairs, the front desk did not tell us when we checked in. Also that you had to get your card stamped for in and out. $14 seems high for this ar... Read more

We had no cold water in the bathroom and engineering was sent to our room around 9:30pm and the problem was temporarily fixed for about 30 minutes but later that evening and again in the morning we were back to only scalding hot water. When we entered the room there were 2 large red stains on the carpet in the living room area. Not a good first impression. There was mold on the shower walls and ceiling and the top edge of the bathroom trim was layered in dirt. There was coffee spilled on the do... Read more

Hotel location is great. Scenery is fabulous Overall great value. Food and service good. Valet is adequate. Bell service good when staffed adequately. I would stay there again and reccommend to my family and friends. Nice to be close to downtown Cincy without the traffic

We stayed in the riverview suites and the view was wonderful !! Excellent stay. The breakfast area was inviting and not overcrowded. The custom made line was in a different area -- which made it easy to get to the selections.

Good embassy suites. Older style but rooms are clean and comfy mattress. They could use a snack shop for late night munchies vs the 8 bags of chips available that are laid out on a rack..if price is right it's a good value. Also crappy pay to park. My biggest complaint with hotels.. really, I gotta pay to park just so I can drag my luggage up urine stained garage.. otherwise ok. Ha.

A couple of my friends and I traveled from Buffalo and stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night because we were going to the Bengals game on Sunday afternoon. I would 100% book this hotel again if I were to return to the area and would definitely recommend it to others for a similar purpose. We paid a good price for the room, but were rewarded (perhaps luckily) with a top floor room overlooking the water. Superb view. Our multi-bed suite came with a king bed, two double beds, and a pullout sof... Read more

Go to a Hampton. I used to love this hotel but they cut their dining room in half and made it look like a college dorm dining hall instead of an expensive hotel! The room were clean and nice but not one picture on the walls.
