This hotel has top of the line service and has a staff to match. This hotel is very clean, great priced, and in a perfect location to old town restaurants and entertainment. The hotel also offers a shuttle to and from these places if your unsure of the area. I would recommended this place to the president!!

In downtown Wichita and very near Old Towne, this is a perfect combination of luxury and character. Plush accommodations, great service, good bar and nice restaurant. A very nice surprise. Parking garage is a bit wonky in that there is no tunnel or covered walk to the hotel but there is valet parking.

Spent 1 night on business at this hotel - boutique line of Marriott properties. Lovely, unique room with large modern bathroom; keurig coffee maker and complimentary water bottles was a nice touch. View was lacking (just another building, so I kept the shades closed). Had to track down my car keys when I checked out (looking for valet), but otherwise a pleasant stay. The restaurant was the highlight of the visit. The bartender made an excellent old fashioned, suggested a wonderful Italian wine t... Read more

We stayed in an Ambassador suite on the 8th floor, facing East. The suite was truly top notch, most especially for the price!!! and certainly for wichita. We have stayed at many, very nice hotels both in the US and out of the US. The hotel and our room were equal to and better than many! We had wonderful service, a fantastic dinner at Siena, the hotel restaurant. The suite was extremely nice, large, very new, very clean, VERY WELL laid out and functional. The view, for Wichita, was actuall... Read more

We stayed at this hotel last year and deemed it worthy of another stay. Our visit last night was a huge improvement in staff service from last year. Every employee from valet, to reception, to bartender to waiter was friendly, helpful and efficient. We requested a quiet room and it was quiet and were upgraded to a corner king which was a great floor plan and luxurious. Our dinner and drinks at the restaurant arrived quickly and heirloom tomato salad and lasagna and short rib lasagne were great c... Read more

We stayed here back in Feb 2016 as we wanted to see the contiguous center of the U.S. and the world's largest ball of twine (nerd alert). I am a huge fan of Ambassador hotels. I have stayed in Ambassador hotel in Kansas city, KS, OK city and now Wichita. This review is going to be focused on my experience at this hotel. Parking: The parking is in a stand alone structure next door and there is no elevator that you can take up to your room. I did not have any problem walking as the hotel is li... Read more

A guest in my party became injured while visiting the city, and the staff at the Ambassador was of fantastic help with everything from parking to room service. You couldn't ask for a more compassionate or helpful response! Oh, and the facility is lovely, with upscale appointments and inviting decor. The restaurant also was wonderful. What more could you ever ask of a hotel?

Great rooms and decor. Stayed on top floor with modest outside noise. Early morning trains were a bit noisy. Terrific views! Excellent staff all that is missing is concierge amenities of other top Marriott properties. Will stay here again!

stayed at the hotel in June 2016, twice during Kansas trip - both stays were more than extremely pleasent - first time upgraded to a room where i was almost getting lost :), the services was cool, at the reception desk amazing - helpful and nice to have small talks. Just maybe not that great design like other autograph collection hotels, however still very nice

Stayed one night recently for business. Didn't really see the property, just my room. Room was large, bathroom was nice, beds were very soft. Actually the bed was a little too soft, but that's my only complaint. I forgot toothpaste & when I called down it was at my door within 5 minutes.

The Ambassador can't be beat. With its welcoming team, with a shout out to Joe at the front desk, and extraordinarily large and comfortable rooms, the hotel is a winner on all fronts and highly recommended. Nestled in a converted bank building, the scale of the rooms reflects the grandeur of a different era with gigantic windows and high ceilings making the large rooms feel even more dramatic. The bathroom 'complex' was grand on all fronts and a treat. There's even signature water bottles di... Read more

One of those nice boutique hotels, right downtown in the middle of it all. Found a great rate from the Marriott website, so I decided to give this place a try. The ambassador has met and exceeded all my expectations. The staff was very professional and friendly. They upgraded my room for being an elite Marriott member without me even asking (corner king is a must). The room was plush, clean, and spacious. The Keurig machine in the room was a nice touch. The standup shower was very relaxing... Read more

Nice room, comfortable bed but a its all about how much they can make from the bill or save, then customer service Had rate with airport transportation but found out you better only need it on there schedule otherwise no ride and a cab is on you. Very disappointed especially with the cost of lodging there

The staff could not be friendlier, the room was amazing, comfortable, and luxurious, and you can't beat the free shuttle from and to the airport. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Wichita within easy walking distance to Old Town and lots of restaurants. I felt like royalty staying at this hotel.

Our visit didn't start well. We checked in late Wednesday night (11 pm) and were told that they had oversold. The room was for the bride to be and her sister. The bride and groom were planning to spend the next night together at the hotel. They put us up in a comparable (Drury) nearby hotel at their expense. We shared that we were fine with this. I did ask the manager to please do something special for the bride and groom the next night. Boy did they. They upgraded them to the biggest su... Read more

I have stayed in high end hotels all over the world and I have to say that this one in lowly Wichita, KS is actually one of my favorites. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bartenders in the lounge area proud of their craft and they have every right to be as they know what they are doing. The front desk is professional and make you feel that they actually enjoy having you as a guest. The restaurant is quite acceptable. The location is very near the "old town " center of Wichi... This is a very nice hotel in the heart of Wichita. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cookies and free bottled water were waiting for us upon our arrival in the lobby! The was a free shuttle service to 2 popular spots in town. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Absolutely no complaints.

The room was very nice and updated. Modern, with a luxury feel to it. Quiet too. We never heard anyone in the halls. Parking is close, covered, and easy to navigate. They give you a card to get in and out of the parking unit. Very cordial when you check in. You feel like you are at a true 5 star, but pay much less. The restaurant is a little pricy, however, it is very good and real chefs do the cooking; you can tell. Everything was cooked to perfection and all our requests were met without hesit... Read more

Stayed while looking for a house with hubby. What a surprise! Covered parking to keep car cooler in July heat. Easy on/off the highway. Staff were friendly and so professional! Our room was super nice and very large. The food for dinner at the restaraunt was super- rated one of best in Wichita and I can see why. Heading back this weekend and staying again. Bravo Autograph Collection!

I was entertaining potential clients at the hotel and the bartender Dan accommodated every single request including having a huge ice cube to put in the "old Fashioned" drinks that they ordered. We were blown away with his knowledge and friendly attitude. Please go to this hotel and ask for Dan at the bar.

Have stayed here many times, always have had attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Noise has never been a problem. The restaurant/bar is a nice place to begin or end an evening. Great place!! In ending, the pricing was always very competitive but has gone up since Marriott took over.

Cannot say enough great things about this hotel! It has the styling and comfort of a much more expensive hotel in a large city with the friendliness and charm of a small town boutique hotel. Stayed in the Ambassador suite, which was extremely spacious and well appointed. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet although it was full. They even arranged to have the hotel van pick us up from our last business meeting and take us to the airport so we did not need to get a cab. I would stay here again.

While we were on the road, I called the front desk on our day of arrival and asked if we could upgrade our room to an Ambassador Suite but I was told that there was no availability. When we arrived at 8:00 PM, I informed the front desk that we had already called but could they check to see if we could upgrade our room to an Ambassador Suite? Again I was told that they did not have any availability. I then showed the front desk my mobile and stated "I am currently on your website and I am allowed... Read more

This was our first stay at an Autograph Collection Hotel and we had a wonderful time. We hope to return for an anniversary trip! The front desk and the Bar staff we quite personable and made us feel very welcomed. We stayed the night of the earthquake and just glad all turned out well! The rooms are very tastefully decorated and we would love to stay in more of these type of hotels across the United States. It was a memorable stay!

I am a Platinum with Marriott, and a Diamond with Hilton, so see a lot of hotels. This locations needs work on the little things. In the fitness center, the tv does not work on the bike, and the treadmill does not work at all, for three days, even after being told they do not work. At the bar, on a Friday night, they did a last call at 11pm, it was raining, the bar was full, and they stopped serving. Everyone in the bar had nowhere to go, but hey, last call, we are closing. I travel for work to cities all over the country. Finding a reliably excellent place to stay, with reliably excellent food is key. The Ambassador and the Siena steakhouse are superlative, every time, and make Wichita a happy work trip. Now, the breakout detail at the Ambassador is bartender Ben!!!! The only place in the country I can say "please make something wonderful with tequila" and get exquisitely surprised with something different and great, every time. He's an artist. He's a destination ... Read more

This is my 4th stay at the Ambassador and as a frequent business traveler I am very impressed with the hotel, rooms are very nice and spacious and the service is excellent. They just open a 1930s style speakeasy in basement offering many drink and food selections. It should add more options for the frequent traveler looking for something different in Do Duh (aka Wichita)

Stayed in this hotel with family and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and nice room with comfy bed. It was a Friday night and the cars were cruising Douglas and people were roaming around out on the sidewalks. Seem like a hometown atmosphere. Quieted down about eleven and quiet nights sleep. Food in the hotel restaurant was really superb. Had delicious peach salad. Would like to stay there again. Right downtown Wichita and we reminisced about all the shopping we used to do in the stores downtown.

For what it's worth, I am a gold status Marriott member (and SPG) I stayed between the 11th and 13th of Nov. While this is not a 2 star rating, I cant justify given them a 3 star either, due to trip advisor rating system, I will round the point down. I came early (12:30pm) hoping to check in early (Gold and Platinum status privilege) I was told the room is not ready, not a big deal, the front clerk asked for my phone numbers so they could call me as soon as they got a room. 4:30pm came around ...
