Stayed because of a convention center event in Overland Park. Wonderful location and it was in close proximity to the event. For the value this hotel was great! The staff could use some smiles though.

We stayed in room 208, overlooking the outdoor pool. The pool was open and warm in May! Rooms were very clean, I love that they wash the bed cover too. Beds were comfy. Breakfast had a huge variety. All employees were very friendly. We did the e-check in online, that made check in super quick.

My company likes us to use the Hampton Inn near the Plaza, I prefer this Hampton. This has been remodeled and more up to date. The Plaza seems a little run down. I prefer the staff as they are always personable and professional.

I stayed last Saturday night. The room was very comfy and clean. Breakfast was awesome and everyone seemed very friendly that worked there! I would definitely recommend it to anyone I know going into the area. The only thing I thought was a little odd was the standing business center in the middle of the dining area.

Seems expensive for what you get. Just a regular room, no refrigerator nor microwave. Swimming pool in front out in open area, would prefer indoor swimming pool. Air conditioner noisy, low powered hair dryer. Plenty of towels, good choice of pillows. Internet is complimentary free if you are an hhonors member, and you have to login, or else it costs. Only chose this place as others were booked for a holiday weekend.

I gave this hotel 4 stars for two reasons. 1 the breakfast doesn't provide a lot of options for someone allergic to wheat and 2 they leave all the lights on after they clean your room wasting a lot of electricity and the annoyance of figuring out where all the light switches are to turn them off. But other than that it is on a good location about 30 mins from KC.

A good hotel, standard Hampton Inn which is good. The breakfast was good, there is a outside pool/hot tub but did not use it.. The rooms are a good size and well fitted out. The hotel is very clean and there is nothing to find fault with, staff were also helpful.

Nice, clean, comfortable, cool rooms. EXCELLENT breakfast with hot items (eggs, bacon, sausage), waffles, oatmeal, yogurts, fruits, pastries and orange juice, mango juice, apple juice and coffee. Pool. Small fitness area. Vending machine snack area--bring cash, no credit card or ATM to get cash for the vending machines.

Our room was on the fifth floor right in front of the elevators, which I thought would be a problem. However, everything was quiet and we were never disturbed. The room itself is very lovely with the built-in desk and closet area near the window. The window shades were very effective at blocking out light (imperative for me since hotel curtains tend to be very poor at this). The bathroom was of a good size and the beds were comfortable. This Hampton Inn has great choices in rooms. They serve a warm breakfast. The pool is blocked from the parking lot and roads by beautiful trees. The fifth floor rooms are very quiet, and if you need extra shower supplies or over the counter medicine you can usually get it from the front counter if the house keepers are already gone for the day. If not then you you can stop them in the hall or call them and they will bring you the supplies you need need for your shower or your room.

Nice room, well kept. Breakfast needs a reevaluation. I understand that is complimentary, but HHonors guests spend a lot of brainer. Food items should be hot, not room-temp warm. Oatmeal should be consistent. I appreciate the options of waffles, although I don't eat them! Great location if in the area.

Family and friends gathered together in Overland Park at the Hampton Inn for a big wedding in the KC area. We gathered together every morning for the delicious free breakfast and made our plans for the day. The weather was warm, the pool was refreshing and the hot tub was actually hot. Our entire group enjoyed our stay and were all asking about a reunion there in the future.

This was an quick overnight stay while passing through KC. We had a good night's rest and a good breakfast. My first impression, however, was hard to shake. When we got on the elevator to go to our room, my son commented on the dirty carpet-he was right. The couch in our suite was stained and the bathroom was floor dirty. There are other options in the area that may be better choices. We will try them next time.

I've been to many Hampton inn's and this one needs a face lift. Even some of the rooms seem to be updated within the last ten years, but they are getting abused very quickly. The service from the breakfast staff, to the checkin staff was on top of their game. Has a gym with 3-4 pieces of equipment and a pool, but didn't try any of them out. There's a lot of stuff to do and eat in the area.

Like common now the motel 6 across the street does... Room was clean and all. Breakfast is ok nothing to get excited about. Had to have room card re keyed multiple times pretty sure door lock is messed up but they kept saying it was the keys. Will look into other place next time.

This was a nice motel with friendly staff & a very nice complimentary hot breakfast. The rooms were fairly clean but the bathroom set up was unhandy. Comfortable bed and pullout couch. Their breakfast did not have a lot of variety, but what they did have was good and often cooked to order; they get a bonus point for having their breakfast stay open until 1000 hrs.
