This is our go to place! We always stay here when we come to Lawrence to visit our college kids. Always clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Very good complimentary breakfast. And a warm cookie in lobby in the evening!!

Even though this particular hotel was under renovation while we were there, they still provided great service and the room was very comfortable. I still wonder why they post the signs for reusing towels when, even if I hang a towel, they still collect it.

This hotel was awesome. Everything was clean and tidy. The only thing I mark it down for is that it was under construction at the time of my visit (5/2016). But everything was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely a place I'll visit again.

We always stay at this Hampton Inn when attending school events for our two granddaughters. We are always satisfied with the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. Even though it is undergoing renovations, we were not bothered by the ‚??inconvenience‚?? at all. In writing reviews, I rarely show dissatisfaction unless I considered it unexplainable. After eating breakfast, we were exiting the elevator for our room, and when the doors opened a huge dog tried to bound onto the e... Read more

And it was! Helpful staff allowed us to check into one of our rooms a couple hours early so that we could change for graduation. They also made sure our second room was located across the hall for later. They communicated in advance about the renovations that would be happening so there were no surprises, except for how surprised we were to not be bothered at all. They halted all work over the weekend so we weren't dealing with any sound or other construction issues. The rooms were spacious and ... Read more

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Good work out room and great breakfast! The pool looks like it will really nice when complete. I would definitely stay again. Good location close to campus and downtown.

This was your normal Hampton Inn so that goes without saying. The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint is the pool was closed for maintenance. That was very disappointing because that's what the kids were looking forward to.

Great area to visit in a great town, will definitely stay here again when we come through this area again! If you have a chance to eat at Jeffersons too, it's minutes up the road, and a great place as well!

Even though this hotel was going through renovations, it was clean at all times. Didn't hear any noise or really see any workers. The pool was closed, but I typically don't use the pools in hotels. Had a nice experience at this hotel.

Front desk staff very friendly, helpful and quick. When I called to verify reservations they immediately told me there was construction work going on and apologized as that information was not relayed through the company that I made the reservation with.

Only issue was with construction waking us up and not allowing to take naps because of the noise. We had a long weekend and were extremely tired. They started banging on the outside walls very early and throughout the day.

This Hampton is undergoing a renovation, which didn't interfere with our stay at all. Our room was newly renovated so the room was very comfortable. The hotel is located a short distance off the interstate, which made for a quiet neighborhood. The only drawback is that there's no place nearby for dinner. Overall a nice comfortable place to spend the night.

In the middle of a cross country road trip. Hubby favors Hampton Inns so we booked here in route. Loved the bed here: had our best sleep so far. And while all the Hampton Inns have hot breakfast, this one was my favorite. The biggest hit: the sausage. If you're tired and need a hot breakfast that will get you on the road, this is the one.

We weren't told about construction issues like the noise with early start times, the shower had strands of hair on the walls and floor and the toilet wouldn't flush right. We also were charged a different amount than we were billed.

This taught me a very valuable lesson. In you get what you pay for. Even though I have been in better motels for the same money. This place SUCKS! Pool area tile missing on deck area, only 2 pool towels was available towards the end of the day, hot tube needs new pump or rebuild, even though it a no smoking building the room had an oder to it, bring your own shampoo & conditioner because they may be giving you 2 of one or the other. Nasty stains all over the place. Not worth the money.

The hotel was remodeling when we were there, but still pretty good accommodations. Rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. Internet was strong and breakfast options were plentiful. But we were there for a basketball tournament and there was no guest laundry available.

This was a nice typical Hampton. Beds were super comfy. Was disappointed in pool out of commission during July! I had to pay 60,000 points through Hilton for two queen sized rooms. I thought this was excessive for Lawrence Kansas. This wasn't some special destination. I had no choice due to this being a family birthday, 100th.

The Hampton in Lawrence has become our home away from home. We have been coming here 2-3 times a year for the past 4 years to visit our daughter at KU. The staff is fantastic and always makes us feel welcome and at home!

Even though this hotel was undergoing some remodeling, it did not inconvenience us in the least. Hotels usually say "Pardon Our Dust" but there was no need to pardon anything. Very tidy and unobtrusive remodeling. Would definitely stay there again.

While I knew of the renovations, the extreme amount surprised me. For the price I expected to be able to unload/load the luggage. Breakfast for all three days was not hot and really not appetizing. No in-room microwave. My fault for not checking first. Having come back to Lawrence for family visits for a long time (yrs), and staying at multiple hotels, I feel the price for the Hampton is really not worth the price.

Stay at Best Western or Comfort Inn. Dont waste your money at Hampton Inn. Hilton thinks that it's name is worth an extra $75 but you really don't get anything for it. It's "Honors" program is a joke. More than likely they won't even credit your stay. As far as the breakfast goes, everything is just reheated dry eggs, gloppy oatmeal, etc. After a long day of moving two daughters into college, I was looking forward to a good nights sleep, but the noisy air conditioner prevented that.

Overall stay was good, however our room was a handicap room which had no counter space in the bathroom. With that said, I do have great respect for the handicapped and this room would be very accommodating for them.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The rooms were larger than I have stayed in previously. The beds and bedding, oh my gosh were so comfortable! The staff were very nice and knowledgable. My husband forgot to book us two nights so we only stayed one, but the staff called around Lawrence to try and find us another hotel to stay in. I would definitely go back.

Although the Hampton Inn is undergoing renovation it is still the best hotel value in Lawrence. We have stayed at the Best Western Plus and Holiday Inn (not Express) and they were $30-$40 cheaper to book but our experience at both was not good. Our stays at Hampton Inns across the country have been consistently wonderful. Best Western and Best Western Plus have been hit or miss. Holiday Inn Express has been consistently good as well. We came to Lawrence to visit our daughter. The renovations are looking great. No issues or problems with stay during renovation. Very friendly staff. Karen in the breakfast area is wonderful and really brightens your morning. Rooms are clean and housekeeping does a great job. This was our third stay at this hotel. Great stay each time. Best hotel in town other than the Oread which is more expensive.

Dad's Weekend - chose this property as it has always been a consistently exceptional property for our trips to Lawrence. Service and room cleanliness are two of the significant distinctions for this hotel. While this isn't the closest hotel to campus it is one of our favorite properties.
