Before I even reached the front desk I was welcomed by warm greeting from the staff. We were pleasantly surprised by the newly remodeled room, and enjoyed the amenities that the hotel offered. We had a rough, late night experience with some loud and obnoxious guests who happened to be staying in the room next to us. However, after a call to the front desk, the staff confronted the obnoxious guests and mitigated the situation within 15 minutes. I didn't catch the name of the front desk attend... Read more

With one exception, I have always had a fine time staying at a Hampton Inn...wait, I guess this is the second exception. I was in town for a business meeting, and since the Hampton was right across the street, I figured that would be the ideal place to stay. A place to stay, yes. Ideal, no. When I checked in, the person manning the counter was very dour. I remarked to my companion it took me four tries before I could get her to smile. The courtesy jug of "lemonade" on the counter tasted l... Read more

I have stayed here before with no issues, and it was the same again this time. I was on the second floor and there are renovations going on so you may just want to call ahead to get an update. The staff are great and it is very close to plenty of things to do. Pat

Great service from staff. Hotel is just finishing up a remodel so there were workers everywhere, but they were polite and courteous. The redecorated rooms are a nice improvement with lots of outlets and charging ports. Hotel was quiet even though it was full every night. Will stay there again. No hot tub and the mattress was very firm-only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Under remodel and will be even nicer in the future. Pool was out of order upon arrival, but opened the next day. Convenient to shopping and lots of restaurants. Great location for racetrack and the west side of Kansas City.

Our stay was a typical, uneventful nice quiet stay. The pool was nice, and the kids really enjoyed the breakfast. We chose this place because of location. It was only a minute to the Legends and T-Rex café, and directly across the street from Great Wolf! It was a perfect night away!

I travel frequently and use Hampton Inns as my go to hotel. This hotel is the oldest in the area and is showing its age. There have been updates made but I'm sure the low bidder was awarded the job, the fit and finish of upgrades is very poorly done. The door didn't fit correctly and a lot of light came through during the night, the door locked ok and I never felt unsafe. The bathroom tile was updated but the finish around the edges was not completed, poor workmanship on all trim in the bath whi... Read more

I have always enjoyed my service from all Hampton Inns during my travels, except for my stay at this particular one. I wasn't welcomed with my complimentary Hilton Honors Gold Member water and snack. Didn't think I needed to complain about it until I experienced the service worsening. On two occasions, only half the trash in my room was disposed of by housekeeping and a trash liner was never replaced the second occasion. I never received refills on the coffee and on the same occasion the tra... Read more

Stayed for business. Great location, but dated rooms for the money. The hotel's general areas were also very warm, like the AC was out. Room AC worked fine. Room description also didn't match what was listed online. Example Family suite online shows with bunk beds, but fold out couch was there instead. Also they describe it as a 2 rooms, but the suite is one big room with door cut outs lacking privacy.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The staff was helpful and the hotel was clean. Our kids enjoyed the breakfast, the food was good and the host was friendly. The hotel's checkout isn't until noon, later than other Hampton Inns. We will be back when we are in the area.

We arrived on the day after renovations had been completed in mid-June 2016, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this location! Clean, comfortable, beautiful, quiet, with an upscale feel. Beautiful property with delightful and friendly front desk staff! Our queen beds were so comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and the room very clean! Highly recommend this location for a restful night's sleep and comfortable stay.

Poor overall experience. Incompletely trained staff with no backup to answer questions . Reservations were not ready, The room was ordered on-line and was also checked in online so I was told on arrival. That I did not have a room and that Hampton had very few vacancies. After I returned to my car AND found the confirmation #, the process seemed to gain some life. Cause I expected more from a place that knew I was coming, asked me to electronically check in which was done wit... Read more

We travel a lot. To this day, I have gone the extra mile to get to the nearest Hampton because of their service. We have not had a dirty room (and believe me, I AM PICKY), the staff have always been more than accommodating and I feel safe at Hampton. I stay at Hampton, Village West, every time I come to Kansas City and I will continue. They are great!

This was another quick stopover on a long drive from NY State to Colorado with a cargo trailer in tow. As with all the other Hampton Inns we've stayed in, the beds were very comfortable, and the rooms clean. The staff is pleasant to deal with, check-in was easy. We didn't go down for breakfast or use the pool.

Overall the stay want bad. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. What was noticeable, however, was the minor maintenance issues. Our bathroom door did not close all of the way, like something was bent or the door itself just didn't fit. There was cracked and broken tile in the bathtub. There was a good sized spot of water damage in the ceiling. That was just in our room. In the rest of the hotel we noticed things like some of the numbers on rooms were crooked... The hallway ... This is a nice hotel and if you have stayed at a Hampton Inn before this is exactly what you would expect. This place does have a great location if you are going to a soccer game as Sporting Park is within walking distance. There is tons of restaurants and shops very close too. I will be back if I'm in the area again.

We were there for a family reunion and had stayed at this hotel in 2014 for my husband's class reunion. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated - loved the mini frig and microwave in the room. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Internet service fast and reliable. Complimentary breakfast more than adequate. Only improvement I can think of is the coffee was a little weak for me - but then a Starbucks is just a few blocks away.

We had stayed here several years ago when they first opened and it was a typical great Hampton experience. This time the property had noticeably aged, and not well. They had done a recent renovation of the rooms with a very contemporary feel to them that was probably well designed, but seriously flawed in implementation. All minor details, but well below the usual high Hampton Inn standards- examples (from room 213)- Stylish new single lever sink faucet installed incorrectly so hot and cold ... Read more

We are staying here because of the hotel's proximity to Children's Mercy Park (Sporting Stadium). It seems like it might have been constructed very quickly without a lot of attention to detail. The hotel is decent and reasonably equipped. We have a fridge and microwave. There is a little lack of housekeeping, but the room is spacious and comfortable. I'm certain we will stay here again because the hotel is a short walk to the stadium and blocks from shopping and plenty of restaurants.

My friends and I stayed here after a soccer game. We were able to check in early but when we got to our room our air conditioning wasn't working. Not okay in KC! We left while they said a repairman was coming to look at it. When we came back it was no better. We told the front desk and they had us in a new air conditioned room in 20 minutes. AND they comped our room!!! It might be worth mentioning we are Hilton Honors members - but still, great service.

This Hampton Inn was extremely affordable and I would recommend especially to any persons on a family trip. The staff was abundantly nice and authentic. Again and again they went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. You are close to a huge outlet mall, theater, and theme parks. You are right next to the highway and straight shot to downtown to everything.

Generally I stay at the Holiday Inn Express in the same area... but mom chose this hotel instead. Definitely not worth the extra cost. Our room was very loud (not other guests... just general moving -- doors opening and closing and walking in hallways above.) Didn't get much sleep. Additionally, the rooms were not well put together -- many areas were in need of repairs. Masking tape was holding up the wall facade in one area of our room.

We reserved a handicap room on line. It was confirmed on line. However when checking in we were given a regular room. Before leaving the desk I had them check and they changed it to a handicap room. We were surprised there were no bottles of water in the room. There was no soap dish or shelf in the walk-in shower. The drain on the floor looked disgusting. We covered it with a towel.
