The best part of this stay was Robin at check-in. I am usually not too picky with rooms but there were issues with my first two (next to a very loud family gathering in the first and a spotlight outside my window in the second). Robin was fabulous in moving me around and when I was happy with the third, she was nice enough to let me know that the person staying next to me would be coming in late and she could move me again. I was fine with it. She also offered me all kinds of silverware and plat... Read more

We have stayed here a half-dozen times in the past three years when traveling through western Kansas and each has been a good experience. Rooms are clean and very comfortable and we've always enjoyed a good night's sleep. Holiday Inn Express breakfasts (cinnamon rolls in particular) never disappoint! We'll be back.

Nice updated rooms, Good Water pressure. Nice clean pool and a Hot breakfast too! We enjoyed our stay it was nice and the hotel was quite. The food for breakfast was nice except the pancake machine kept breaking. I was especially thrilled to have hot water after 3 others had showered. The staff was friendly and they also allow dogs.

We arrived on a busy spring break weekend. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights. Everything was clean and the staff were very nice. Hot tub and pool were terrific and we overall had a wonderful visit.

The hotel is located just off I-70, but its far enough from the highway that there is very little traffic noise. The rooms are well equipped, fresh and very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast has a good selection of freshly prepared food. This hotel is one of the newer Holiday Inn Express.

We stayed one night at this hotel. We were exhausted when we pulled in and were greeted with kindness. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast looked really good the next morning. We didn't have time to try it. I am taking the time to write this review because although our stay was great, it was what happened afterwards that was outstanding. Once home, I realized i had left a valuable in the room. I called and they had it. They offered to mail it to me. It is r... Read more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Colby one night on our trip from Atlanta to CO. We chose this hotel based on reviews and because it is pet friendly. We were pleasantly surprised at the results of the refurbishment of this older hotel. The rooms are updated in a very modern fashion with an especially efficient use of the space available making it feel quite spacious. We were delighted that the mini fridge had a small freezer so that our semi thawed out ice packs could be re- frozen. ... Read more

We usually stay here on our trip out to Colo. We stay one night and my husband is a Platinum member. I like this motel but it seems like every time we stay there the air conditioner don't work very well. We have had to ask for help in our room one time to fix it as it was very noisy. The time before last we just had to leave the fan on as it wouldn't cool. I kept getting up to reset it. The last time we stayed we dont think the air conditioner was working at all. We had it down at 65 and our roo... Read more

Traveled to Colby with friends last weekend. What a great hotel. The front desk staff = totally awesome and accommodating. Put me on the floor I requested and my room was very nice. Quiet hotel with a view of Kansas wheat waving in the breezes. Perfect get away, with great people throughout the hotel. My room was nicely straightened on my stay-over and the kitchen staff was so very friendly and everything was hot and tasty.

An average place to stop. Has done a total remodel, which was needed. Staff were not overly friendly or accommodating. Rooms are average. Not sure if I would stop here again. Elevator was awkward to get to with a luggage cart. Starting to lose faith in holiday in express. This place was OK considering it is in the middle of Kansas where there is not much decent to choose from.

I was pleasantly surprised with what a nice hotel this is. We got there around midnight on our way home from Colorado. Newly remodeled rooms, very modern. Keirug coffee maker in the room. Good toiletries. They do allow dogs with a $25 fee. Awesome breakfast and coffee. Bit more expensive than another hotels on the elite, but definitely worth it. You get what you pay for.

We were traveling on our motorcycle and booked a room online with our points, the room we reserved was amazing! It even had an inner door that you could close for noise cancellation. The staff was also amazing and very social. Shout out to Ms. Charlie and (I didn't get the name of the older lady) but they were just lovely! Charlie tell your friend her life will only be as good as her choices...Make Good Choices.

We stayed at this hotel last minute on our way to Denver. I enjoyed being able to call the hotel directly to make a reservation as opposed to using a central reservation system. The staff were very friendly both when making the reservation and upon check in. The lobby is very clean and well kept. Our room was quite large with a special sound blocking door and it was quiet at night. The pool area was nice sized with good hours. Breakfast was good, nothing special but despite being full and ... Another great stay at Holiday Inn Express in Colby, KS. The two lady's at check in were great, I was great with a great big smile and hello and promptly checked in. The room was clean and spacious. This is the first express that had this great built in desk/ wall unit which was great, with the TV mounted up high on the wall. The bathroom was bigger than most which was nice. The pool and hot tub was awesome and the larger than most as well, which the little one loved. By the looks of the pa... Read more

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express dozens of times and have always left with a good impression...until now. I usually don't whine, but I was traveling on business for a government agency. When I checked in they refused to give me the usual government discount, which I had received at every other Holiday Inn Express I had visited the past two weeks. I was informed that I could not get the discount because I was not a Kansas government employee! Since I had already booked the room, and was r... Read more

If you are looking for a place to stay after St. Louis, but before Denver, Colby seems a logical spot. It's a series of motels off I-70 on the prairie. The place was clean and comfortable. The staff was congenial. The complimentary breakfast was o.k., standard prefab breakfast. Given the environment and decor, I thought this place was overpriced. It's on the prairie, and so had low water pressure (weak toilet pressure), and I had to use a plunger. They seemed used to the request. The Mexican r... Read more

This was a typical Holiday Inn Express. Clean enough, decently priced. The pool is very small, however. Breakfast was included and very adequate. Given the other selections in town, I would stay here again.

This is where we chose to stay to break our driving trip up from Kansas City to Vail Valley, Colorado. We were all very impressed by how clean the place was. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. The front desk staff was gracious with their restaurant suggestions. We were very happy. The continental breakfast was fresh and provided a lot of choices. This will be on our list to stay again when we head back to Colorado.

We stayed here on our way home from Colorado. We paid MORE for this room than we paid for a condo in the mountains in Colorado. $200/night room with a $15 bed. We woke up with aching backs. We found dirty clothing in our room. The bathroom is poorly designed - you can hardly get around the door to sit on the toilet. Would not go back unless there are new beds. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels and are usually pleased. Not this time.

Stayed on a couples vacation. Nice, clean room. A little slow on the warm water for shower and K machine in room was fussy. Good free hot breakfast. Cinnamon rolls are the very best part!!! Close to highway, gasoline, and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

There really is not much to choose from in Colby. This hotel is just off the highway and is dog friendly. I was driving cross country with my dogs, and that does limit you stay. We received a friendly greeting upon our arrival. The lobby was clean but nothing special, even by HIExpress standards. Some of the newer hotels have some nice, modern lines and this building feels more like a renovated HIExpress. The room was fine as well. It was clean. Again, this feels renovated and when you look ... Read more

The breakfast was huge and very good. The staff was wonderful. The price we had for all of the amenities was incredible. Would definitely stay here again! It had a nice pool and hot tub that was open all night instead of closing 9 or 10 pm like most.

We found this hotel to be pet friendly, clean, and an overall nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a short distance from quite a few restaurants and close to I-70. In short, we'd stay here again.

We chose this hotel on our way to Denver, and stopped again for the night on the way back home. The hotel is a little pricey but you're paying for the known quality - comfortable beds, safe location, cleanliness, good shower, good towels, and a great breakfast. The rooms are spacious and the air conditioners work well. The complimentary breakfast was of high quality. The first time through we had omelettes, sausage, turkey sausage, and biscuits and gravy along with the usual offerings of cer... Read more

Hotel was clean, and the staff nice. However, our "king bed suite" was a very small room. A work desk was in a narrow space at foot of the bed, with one chair. As we were travelling with pets, I brought in take-out dinner. I had to carry a chair from the dining room to our room, so that we could both squeeze in to the desk to have some place to eat. Rate was quite expensive, compared to the several other hotels we stayed in on this trip. Colby is a very small town, with very limited places... Read more
