I stayed 2 nights last week. The staff was very helpful regarding places to eat and visit. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and the dining area spotless. The staff was also helpful with Abilene history. Will stay again at this location.

The Holiday Inn Express in Abilene, KS is about the ONLY place to stay. I am happy with the rooms consistently. I wish they had kept the sauna running as it made a trip to Abilene pleasant. The breakfast is average, but I appreciate the addition of the varieties of tea and the Greek yogurt. However, the woman who works in the breakfast room now, needs to KEEP HER IDEAS to herself. When you speak about "those people" on welfare for 10 minutes with some couple in the breakfast room, you are saying... Read more

The hotel is clean and well maintained. We found nothing dirty or broken in our room or anywhere on the property. The free internet was reasonably fast. However, it was the people who made this visit outstanding. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful. The lady overseeing the free breakfast kept everything cleaned and refilled with a cheery disposition. The cleaning crew did an outstanding job. We will stay here again if we are ever back this way.

The place seemed brand new, or maybe newly renovated? It was clean, comfortable, and QUIET! (Unlike many small hotels along Interstate 70.) And they allow dogs, which was a plus for us, since we often travel with our goldendoodle. We've had better breakfasts at other Free Breakfast places, but that was OK. Overall it was terrific!

Was not sure what we would find in this small town but we wanted to visit the Eisenhower Library & Museum so chose an overnight here. This is a really nice and well managed HI...staff was friendly and helpful (small town ethics)...the morning breakfast was slightly above average for this level of motel (in particular the biscuits and gravy). Good stopping point for those with a dog as there is a large grassy area for walking. While it was closed on the Monday we were there the place behind the h... Read more

Very enjoyable stay and excellent Customer Service. The Front Desk went above and beyond to accommodate a future reservation because I was an IHG Member. I had an unpleasant experience the week before at a different hotel, in a different city. Definitely will stay here again next time I'm here for work. I think the lady's name was Melina but I'm not sure. She exceeded my expectations and deserves to be applauded. Thank you.

I wish I could find any faults at this Holiday Inn Express. From first checking in to the time to leave, it was a pleasant experience. Front desk clerk gave me her name and said she would be their till 11pm and call if any problems. Never seems to be any problems for me at a Holiday Inn Express. The place was spotless. The pool was spotless. Every employee was friendly. The only problem this hotel has is location. Abilene is NOT a town that has any decent national restaurants. Its going to be hi... Read more

Stayed here for a business trip back in April. The staff was very kind and helpful. There was a storm rolling through town and they let me know when it would be over and where it was headed. The room was large and clean. There were many breakfast options. Great place to stay!

Each staff member went above and beyond any expectation. How can I give an 'excellent' rating to a Holiday Inn Express when I have stayed in very upscale hotels nationwide and overseas on business trips and vacations? Because HIE Abilene is excellent at providing a top experience in hospitality. From the front desk manager to housekeeping and breakfast server, our family felt so welcome and cared for. Excellent location. The rooms are fresh, spacious, perfectly maintained, great beds and pillo... Read more

Called to reserve and spoke with Chad, he was great to deal with. Lady that check us in was rather rude. Pets are allowed here and during our stay noticed someome with their pet in the pool area. We chose to shorten our stay and go some place else.

We stopped here over night to be able to visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library and we were glad we chose this hotel! It was extremely clean and the staff we encountered were very friendly. Marilyn who worked the front desk was very courteous and informative about different places in town. I would stay here again!

Ourcar's air-conditioning had stopped working 3 hours before we arrived. We were treated professionally and our check-in was quick and flawless and the room had been upgraded. That was a pleasant surprise. The mattress was groaning everyone we moved in and out. Bathroom vanity was very low as was the toliet. They must be due to update soon. Breakfast was not as much variety as other Holiday Inn express. milk was in a pitcher not cartons. No Greek Yogurt and there was a Tips bucket by coffe... Read more

This is a bit dated and needs some updating. Mattress seemed well used but clean. King bed was higher in the middle! Breakfast area was small. Nice breakfast but the tables needed a bit more attention. All the employees where very nice and helpful. Great location we will stop again. Room and linens were clean property is well maintained.

We were surprised to hear a dog barking next room. Hotel staff jumped on problem right away. We've never stayed in pet friendly place before, so we learned. If you have allergies, be sure to request a non pet friendly room. Hotel is on I-70 and road noise was surprisingly low. Window air conditioner was pretty quiet as well. What was annoying was water pipes sound. Showers, sinks, etc all roared. Poor insulation. Place was clean, breakfast good, and staff friendly.

As I've learned in the past year since my strike, there are all kinds of accessible hotel rooms; and this on was super for my needs! It was a large room with a bar area w/ microwave & small fridge, a King bed vs the usual 2 Queens (which I hate), a roll-in shower & lots of electrical outlets! The hotel is spotless as well! The front desk staff was fantastic as well! Don't hesitate! Book a room here!

Unfortunately they have smoking rooms on both floors and the smell drifts into the hallways. That means the smell of smoke cannot be avoided. If you have any sensitivity to smoke you really should not stay here. Placing towels in front of your room door to block the smoke does not help when the room has sat all day without a towel. Our room was not as clean as it could have been as the ice bucket had been used by a previous guest for something other than ice (holding Cheetos maybe) and it ha... Read more

I had no problems or issues with my stay at this hotel. The hotel has ? courteous, friendly, and helpful staff, ? rooms that are quiet and clean with plenty of amenities, ? plenty of breakfast options, and ? very friendly and helpful breakfast staff. I highly recommend this hotel if staying or stopping anywhere near Abilene.

Attending hs reunion back home, this hotel is clean, new, staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is rather bland and sparse, eggs aren't the best, aren't sure if they are really eggs but there are other options. The room has very comfortable. I arrived very very late couldn't get the tv to work, had an issue with the toilet, both were taken care of the next day. The bed was wonderful. Great stay, great little hotel.

There are few motels/hotels in this town. We chose Holiday Inn because of its reputation. The bed was squeaky and very soft. The squeaks kept us awake. The clerk supposed to be at the desk was never there. Even after ringing the bell, it took several minutes for her to arrive. I made three trips to the desk. On one trip, another guest was there and had been waiting for a few minutes already. I had to go ask for the key to the treadmill machine to start it. I set it at 3 then after 3 minu... Read more

Was here for an over night rest on the way home to Missouri from Colorado. Good bed and pillows. Adequate water pressure in the shower. Everything a tired traveler needs after a long day of driving. Nice to be able to get up and have coffee and a light breakfast before hitting the road again.

This is only the second time I've stayed in a Holiday Inn Express mainly because they don't serve breakfast in the morning. This one does and it's really good. They had a wide variety of hot and cold items for breakfast all served buffet style in a nice breakfast room. The hotel was exceptionally clean both inside and out. Lest you think all is perfect in Paradise, consider the TV. It didn't work so we had to watch in the lobby. Not good.

My husband and I stopped at the Holiday Inn Express for one night as part of our American road trip. We were on our way to Kansas City and thought it would be interesting to visit the Eisenhower Museum and home whilst here. We arrived at the hotel and were checked in by a very friendly lady. The room was a good size although the lack of a heavy curtain to draw , there being only a net, wasn't very cosy. The air conditioning machine was quite noisy , so we turned it off. The tv was not working ... Read more

Staff was friendly and helpful but our room needed a little work. There was loose wallpaper and the bathroom faucet leaked around the base so by the time we noticed it all our stuff was wet. I do love Their choice of hard and soft pillows and wish everyone would do that. The breakfast was very nice as was the lady who worked hard to make sure everyone was happy.

Nice location right on Interstate just on edge of town. We checked in without a reservation and they were helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean with plenty of room. There was an easy chair with ottoman and a lamp and a desk with an office chair. We also had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. Good water pressure in the shower. This hotel is off of I-70 so it is easy to access. Another great perk is that it is next to the Famed Brookville Hotel Restaurant. After you "pig-out" at the BH R you can walk to the Holiday Inn Hotel room and crash!
