I stayed in this hotel while on business. My group had a terrible long day. I called the hotel and Carla was to my rescue. Carla and her staff handled my group with care beyond expectation. When I was faced with feeding my group, Carla and the team came to our rescue by delivering food to our site without hesitation. When I was faced with unloading a bus full of luggage, Carla and Chance helped me unload everything and put it in a safe secure room. When we returned at about 11pm, the barten... Read more

Sioux City is my husband's home town so we have stayed here several times before and it is close to downtown The highway construction made it difficult to access, but that was not the hotel's fault. Suffered severe intestinal distress after eating breakfast in facility restaurant which spoiled our day's planned visit time of Sioux City. So we had to stay another day. Roto Router outside our room door all morning. Staff could not find any club soda for my tummy. Could not believe that there bu... Read more

Hotel looks old and layout is a bit strange. The bar is right by the front desk; long hallway having to walk by all the meeting rooms before you get to the rooms area. My room was small with a king bed filling up most of the area. Bathroom is small as well with toilet cramped between shower (no tub) and vanity. The room itself was very clean and furniture seemed pretty new. They must have updated at some point. Room was fairly quiet; you can hear a train here and there and the usual door s... Read more

This is an older hotel, still quite comfortable. Double rooms do not have a exhaust fan in the bathroom so if your sharing a room do not eat Chinese! Restaurant and bar in the hotel but a " pay for hot breakfast " I expected more from a Holiday Inn, at least for the price it should be included. IHOP is right next door. Allot of construction ongoing on I-29 so pay attention to the detour signs.

Good stay in an older property that has been updated. Nothing special but the price was very reasonable. Walking distance to a lot of places. Wanted to stay at the Hard Rock but the price was more than double the Holiday Inn. I made the right choice. Would stay again!

You know, one of my biggest pet peeves is hair left by other people. That what I faced here at this holiday inn and I felt compelled to write about it. Its honestly not that hard to remove hair from prior guests from the main points in a room. Change sheets, pillowcases, and comforter cover. Vacuum. Voila. However, my bed was filled with hair from multiple prior guests. Hair between the sheets, on the pillowcases, between the pillow and the case,on the comforter, everywhere. Long hair, short h... Reserved a room for a Boston concert. They were very accommodating to get us a room way earlier than normal Check in. Room 509 was great. Small but very relaxing. King size bed was very comfortable. Everything else was exactly as it should be. This was a great stay.

The hotel was clean and friendly. But the rooms were small and the bathroom was small. Good but not great for the price. The bed springs squeaked and when I sat at the foot of the bed the head of the bed came off the ground. There wasn't a refrigerator or a microwave which are common in rooms now days.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had to get a room with a king bed because the rooms with queen beds were not available. My room, tho clean and tidy in appearance, is uncomfortably small. My reservation promised a microwave and a refrigerator and there is neither. There is no built-in closets so to compensate an armoire is now in the room taking up even more space of an already small room. On the positive side, Hotel staff were very nice and upon request did provide me with a sm... Read more

Do yourself a favor and go to another property. This one is old, stinks, AC didn't work and the fire alarm went off all night. We finally got up and left and drove to the Holiday Inn Express. It cost me more but I actually got to sleep. Now to begin my battle to get my money back for my stay at this rat hole.

While on business travel we booked rooms here. Even though this is an older hotel, it appears that it has been updated. I had not stayed in a Holiday Inn in a long time. My room was very nice, plenty of room. the bed was comfortable! A nice real buffet breakfast is included in the room price. I would stay there again if I was in the area.

While the hotel did not have 2 nights available with 2 queen beds, we paid another $6 per night for an executive queen room (remodeled), and it was worth the extra couple of bucks. Pluses: exercise room, swimming pool & hot tub, beds were comfortable, had a Keurig coffee maker in the room, a mini refrig, reading lights (really liked these) in addition to bedside lights, the pillowcases had the type of pillow embroidered on the case, i.e. soft, etc. Negatives: the a/c fan was quite loud and ra... We stayed 2 nights @ this hotel and had a decent experience. The hotel was clean and recently updated. The parking was good. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to several restaurants and has a Scooter's coffee right in the parking lot! The best part was that it was located within walking distance of the Tyson events Center. The fire alarm went off sporadically during our stay but it was not much of an inconvenience.

Yes it is remodeled. They moved the toilets away from the wall, so the paper holders are behind you, you have to stand up, turn around, help yourself, and turn around again. Breakfast buffet is unattended, you have to tell staff when items need to be replentished. Cold sausage!!! You have to tell some one when the eggs are gone. Waitresses are very attentive and do help you. Rates vary with occupancy....so the less rooms available the higher the price$!$!$! Afternoon front desk has about 3-6... Read more

The room itself was very nice, but the staff didn't seem very helpful upon check in. It was in a convenient location and reasonably priced. The downside was that the interstate was under construction, so the ramps have changed to get to the location, so if you are using your gps, pay attention!

Little, little - and did I say little rooms. Less than 4' between the bed and dresser. Stayed 3 nights and 2 nights had to go to the desk and get new key cards to get in the building and our room!!!! Staff was friendly but not real knowledgeable, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Would we stay there again, probably not, would I recommend it, probably not room was way to small.

The outside of this hotel looked old and a little scary, but the lobby, while small is very nice. The bar and restaurant are also nicely updated. Our rooms were a good size and clean. They were updated and comfortable. Even though the hotel seemed to be fairly full, it was quiet. Besides the restaurant inside, there is an IHOP on one side and a Chili's on the other side of the hotel. The service and food were good at both restaurants.

We arrived on a Friday late afternoon. The gal checking us in tried to be helpful but was so busy it took us at least 15 minutes to get checked in. Stay was fine. Nothing spectacular. I did ask if there was a discount for the restaurant as on a previous stay. She said no not with a negotiated rate which I did not know I had. On Sunday when we checked out the gal at the desk was not busy but ignored me until I asked for her. I wanted to check out. She said ok and I continued to wait and she then ... Read more

I got to the hotel later in the evening after working an 8 hour shift. I had been scheduled to work a shift the following morning and rather than driving home, I found it easier to just stay in Sioux City. When I went in there were people walking all over the parking lot and in the lobby. I went to check in and the woman at the front desk just stared at me, no welcome or anything. I explained that I had a reservation and she just handed me the paperwork and sent me on my way. The next morning,... Read more

First off I'll start by saying this is a nice place, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, the property was pretty well kept, and the shuttle is awesome. Breakfast buffet was the quality of a free hotel breakfast for a pretty high price. So the next day we ate at IHOP for the same cost.

Room was overpriced ($134) and breakfast not included. $10 breakfast buffet was best described as basic. I was bothered by the sight of a work crew killing a Budweiser six-pack at 9:45 am in the pool area (table) and lobby simultaneously.

This hotel is right in the middle of downtown, which was convenient, however felt a little sketchy at times. There's a gas station in the parking lot. The room was fairly nice. The staff were horrible to interact with. I asked for directions to a restaurant and the front desk clerk freaked out and told me she couldn't help me and didn't know where it was because she only lived there 5 years. She walked away and said she had to talk to her boss (about something unrelated) and proceeded to give me... Read more

I've stayed at this hotel several times and this stay was somewhat disappointing. I routinely check the bed for bed first thing upon entering the room and discovered what initially appeared as a stained sheet. Instead it was a reddish stained mattress pad showing thru the white sheet. The bed appeared to be freshly made, I'm thinking perhaps they simply don't change mattress pads and if they do, clearly it's not of importance. For the females traveling alone, the door has 3 locks. Wow, I was so very shocked of the decor; maybe because I was expecting Holiday Inn to be just a tad average as I was trying to save money on this trip this time. It exceeded my expectations; I am a Hilton Honors member and these rooms were just as nice if not nicer! Very nice, layout was awesome, very quiet, great breakfast food buffet and they even had a restaurant inside! When you walk outside, take 5 steps to be inside of a gas station (they sell liquor and wine there as well) and there is al... Read more
