Would have given 5 stars but there were a couple of lights burned out in the parking lot. Very clean and comfortable hotel with pleasant staff. The room was well laid out with plenty of lights. Extra outlets and USB ports were provided. Plenty of hot water and towels in the bath. Fresh coffee and a nice selection of teas are available in the lobby. Good selection of fresh breakfast items. Could use some some wholewheat items and real butter would be a good addition . Wish I traveled this way on ... Read more

Very comfortable mattresses and pillows. Our room also came with a sofa that converted to a bed, but since there were only two of us, and two queen beds we had no need to try it out. There were extra outlets and USB ports, both between the beds and at the desk. We didn't want for charging our phones and tablets, and didn't have to unplug the alarm clock in order to do so. The Internet was free, and fast enough for all of our needs, including streaming a few movie previews, and downloading a vid... Read more

Stayed here one night on our way through to Chicago. Staff was very friendly and the room was able to accommodate the 6 of us. Showers were hot. Had a nice variety for breakfast. The best part was the pool with the 100 ft slide. The kids could have swam all night! The only negative that we found was that the mattress on the hideaway bed was pretty uncomfortable and with the bed folded out, there was little room to move around.

My wife and I spent a night at this Comfort Inn on our way to Colorado. We were warmly greeted by both Zachary, the clerk, and fresh cookies (which he said he had just baked). We enjoyed our spacious suite which was quite clean. The breakfast the next morning was the best we have ever had in hotels such as this. The scrambled eggs (both cheese and regular) were home made and there was salsa to go with them as well as both bacon and sausage. On the carbo side there was fried toast as well as waff... Read more

I am fussy about accommodations and this one gets five stars in every category. The room and bedding were super clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We were greeted warmly upon arrival. The breakfast was amazing! Other reviewers have described it, so I won't repeat. Besides all this, the price was very reasonable. We already have a reservation for our return trip.

The rooms are always clean, beds comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. The staff is nice - not overly friendly but polite. The area the place is located is great - next to a walking trail and also a restaurants and pizza places next door or across the street. There is also a water park - didn't use it so can't give any info on it.

Fabulous and large pool area and FUN waterside. The price is same if not cheaper than competitor down the street. The staff provided top notch service!! Close proximity to Mall and restaurants. IHOP next door.

Room was clean, the bed comfortable. Nothing overly special. Wifi worked at least. No shower rods in the bathroom, that was weird. The breakfast buffet was a little chintzy for the price. I guess the attraction is the water slide in the pool area. High priced in my opinion.

Needed a quick overnight for an early morning appointment at U of Iowa. This hotel is nearby and much more economical than hotels in Iowa City proper. The kids loved the waterslide. The queen suite was perfect for four of us. The manager and other staff are very attentive to both guests and the property, quickly addressing minor issues as they are brought up. The breakfast was fully stocked right up to "closing" time. Someone coming down 10 minutes before closing had the same choices as someone ... Read more

Easy access off the interstate and close to a mall and numerous (but the chain variety) restaurants. Everything you might need is close. The room was spacious enough, free wifi (and it worked), it was clean, the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. Would have liked the sink to be outside the shower and toilet area, but it was not. Parking was good and breakfast what you would expect. Would stay again.

Every time we are on our way to Nebraska for the Rollerskating national championship we stop here. The water slide is fantastic and the breakfast is great. The staff was accommodating and the slide attendant was great fun! Our bathroom had issues but other than that our stay was great. Only complaint is it wasn't a long enough stay!

Family of 3 stopped here for one night. Our room had 2 queen beds and a sofa with a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom sink had space on either side and the shower was roomy and had great pressure. My only complaint was the room seemed to have a musky scent; however I did not notice it after we had been here for a little bit. I did notice the scent again when waking up in the morning. The pool water felt cold to us adults, however our son loved the water and especially the water slide. ... Read more

My daughter and I have a Mom/Daughter overnight and chose the Iowa City Coralville area this year. We have stayed at this hotel one other time several years ago and I was happy to see that it had improvements since then. First the hotel is in a great location, right across from the Coralridge mall which has tons of shopping options and places to eat close by. We arrived in the late afternoon and we were greeted right away by a young man at the check desk who was very friendly and made check... Read more

Great family motel. The staff bends over backwards to help and make the stay very pleasant. We had a suite with king size bed--great bed and very comfortable. The swimming area is fantastic--even Grandma went down the slide. Family from area met there and the staff allowed us to have pizza party in the breakfast area and even helped clean up after the party. We stayed a week and don't have a single complaint. Breakfast was hot, plentiful and wide variety. Good visit and would stay here again... Read more

The rooms were good size and very clean and comfortable. They had a nice pool area and a slide. Even my older kids enjoyed the slide. They don't normally like to swim in hotel pools but they liked swimming in this one. I've stayed here twice and both times we had a pleasant stay. We will definitely stay here again when we visit our son at the University of Iowa.

After 8 days on the road, heading home and needed quiet night. We did get quiet room (3rd flr) looking out to back of hotel. View is lousy - looks out onto oil storage area with bright night lights. Got good price so receives average rating even though staff were not friendly and... No coffee for breakfast - their one machine was broken! Must make provision for bringing in coffee from somewhere - had to go to gas station as backup which is never good option.

The staff couldnt be any nicer. I went to see a friend who was in the hospital and needed support. I couldnt afford more then a night but the staff help me to recieve enough discounts on the rates where I was able to stay a couple days. The staff was real concerned about my friend and asked about how he was doing daily. I even had one staff member pray with me for his recovery. Everyone there seemed to go out of there way to help out. I would like to thank them all

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights (Sept 28th & 29th) and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! As soon as we walked in we were warmly welcomed and quickly and efficiently checked in by William Chambers. Our double queen room was wonderful and having a sofa in the room really makes you feel more comfortable. This was our "home" while we visited the Amana Colonies for 2 1/2 days. They also had a fun looking swimming pool with water slide but we did not use while we were there. We ... Read more

Check in clerks were efficient, friendly, helpful and made delicious cookies!! Public areas and room was very clean. Bedding was good quality and spotless as were the plentiful supply of towels. Breakfast included the usual items such as bacon, cereal, pastries, toast, muffins, fresh fruit, and yogurt as well as a Western Omelet type of eggs and a pancake maker. So...The price was decent, the breakfast was AMAZING (pancakes and waffles, cereals, baked goods, breads, scrambled eggs with peppers, pastries, yogurts, egg burritos, salsa, fruit, sausage, bacon, potatoes, coffee, juices and much more!), it is close to Iowa City's downtown, the rooms are clean and large. But. There is a train that runs right past the hotel that we were unaware of until we were checked in. We had booked through a third-party reservation site and our say was already paid for i...
