I think the title say it all, This used to be my "go to" in Cedar Rapids. Usually spen at least two weeks a year here. Checking in on a Sunday evening, no one at the desk, Note saying clerk was helping a customer. Ten mins pass and the clerk poked his head out of the pool area and greets me with a gruff "Can I help You" Finally waddles his butt to the desk to check me in. Hands shaking and shirt stained, disheveled. Check out process not much better. What happened to quick check out, acte... Read more

I'm a loyal Hilton Honors member, and prefer Hampton out of most brands I've tried. Definitely recommend for a clean, comfortable stay! Breakfast choices are always off the charts - even at the smaller hotels like the one in CR.

Nice to have something you can count on. That's the best and most accurate comment I can make that describes this experience. Keep it up, guys! The more I find this level of quality consistently available, the more I'll be staying with you. And for me, that means every week, 45+ weeks a year.

1) No glasses, just paper cups 2) Ridiculous plastic liners for the garbage that are impossible to use 3) Straight shower rods instead of the curved ones that allow a little room in the shower A bit like staying in a 3rd world country

A bit noisy (perhaps it is because it was memorial day weekend). Average Hampton Inn hotel with clean room and great breakfast. We stayed there to rest up (half way journey) and the overall experience was just okay (neither good nor bad).

I stayed at the Hampton Inn for several days. The first issue was that there was no microwave or frige in the room. Despite making reservations months in advance, there was no frige or microwave. If I had been just an overnight stay that might not be an issue but I stayed there for four nights and it was an in convince to walk down to the lobby when I needed to use a microwave and to use the ice bucket to keep my left overs cold. Next, the front desk was pretty unfriendly. Rather grumpy and bru... Read more

The only time I saw the staff is when I walked into the building to check-in. I wanted to change rooms as I was right next to the elevator and heard it banging very loudly ALL night. That, plus kids running around the hallway and adults arguing outside. Where is the staff to keep the place in order? I went downstairs to talk to someone, but no one was at the desk in the morning. This was a VERY disappointing stay.

Traveled from Chicago to Cedar Rapids for a family wedding. Hotel conveniently located off the interstate and a 10 min drive to the venue! Were greeted by a friendly staff and check in was fast and efficient. Room was clean and cool! (Was over 90 deg upon our arrival). Complimentary breakfast was decent with healthy options included. Price was right too! Recommend if in the Cedar Rapids area.

This hotel is clean, quiet, and the breakfast is good. Just a heads up only some of the rooms have refrigerators so if you want one be sure to ask at check in or when you make the reservation. Close to some fast food places but not a lot of chain sit down restaurants within walking distance.

Road traffic is noisier than I expected. Without our fan along, doubt we would have slept. When trucks went by, floors rattled. You can feel people walking in the halls because floor moves! Its clean, a good value, and no refrigerator. Wasn't a huge deal but surprising. Rooms seem smaller than others we've stayed at. Bathroom definitely not big enough for two to get ready in! Overall though, it was fine.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and convenient. We were disappointed that we did not have a microwave or refrigerator. We had to continually get ice to keep our drinks and food products cold when we generally put a couple of bottles of water in the freezer to use as bulk ice. Fortunately we had a small portable coffee pot that I use for tea only for hot tea.

We have stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns and this one is one of the worst ones we have stayed at. This hotel was clean, but old. The beds were OK, but not great. As a HHonors Diamond Elite member I was appalled at the horrific breakfast that I was served at this Hampton Inn location. First of all, they did not prepare enough food for all of the guests. When we got down to breakfast there was a giant crowd of people all standing around waiting for more food to come out of the kitchen. My last stay at the hotel in April was quite good, but I cannot say that for this visit. The best thing I can say is that they did have my room ready at 10 A.M. when I arrived, which I appreciated, but there were two disappointments with my stay.
