The room was gorgeous. The beds were comfy. The location, for visiting Notre Dame, could't be better. The lobby was pretty. The breakfast was several notches above your average hotel buffet. (Real plates, etc.). Only cons: Upon check in, They did not tell me the wifi password, not did they inform me that the gym was under major construction, as in closed. Also in the morning, when I was in a bit of a hurry to bring my boarding passes, they had only one computer available in their "business cente... Read more

Excellent location and beautiful charm. Loved the lobby, coffee and feel of the space overall. Wifi was good enough to surf the web but not to FaceTime with my kids. My room had large stains on the chaise and pieces of hair still scattered about the tub - this may have been a cleaning person on their off-moment, but that and an extremely lumpy soft bed made me unlikely to stay here again. Too bad, since everything but the room seems nice. Gave a note to the front desk at checkout, so hopefully t... Read more

We needed a hotel for a wedding in south bend. I wasn't sure what type of lodging would be available and how beat up the rooms would be from notre dame fans. To my delight, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and had amazing and friendly staff. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We had a full sitting area, wet bar, fridge, microwave, and a king size bed. Very quiet hotel. All of the staff greeted us and we're helpful. Wonderful breakfast on top of all that. We stayed here 3 nights for an event. Internet is supposedly included and available in the rooms. However, it did not work in my room. Every time I needed to use it I had to go down to the front desk, wait for help, and then when they could not connect me there the solution was to walk down the hall and stand outside a first floor room where the server could connect. Needless to say this was quite an inconvenience. If it had not been for this I would rate the hotel much much higher. But goo... Read more

I was satisfied with every aspect of The Inn at Saint Mary's. It's location is unbeatable, in walking distance from SMC. The distribution of the rooms allows for maximum comfort and usefulness. The bed is comfortable and -- most importantly -- the area is clean and refreshing. I highly recommend The Inn to anyone who needs a place to stay at SMC or ND.

We were not sure what to expect, since this is an older property, but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were updated and nicely appointed. The only thing missing from our room was a mini fridge, which would have been nice. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good, and all of the hotel staff that we encountered were friendly and professional. Would stay here again next time we are in town.

My stay at Inn at St. Mary's went great! The room was clean and everything was in working order. The breakfast buffet was terrific. It came in handy because we were attending a wedding Saturday morning and would have not had time to go out and eat. We were surprised how much variety they offered. the room was spacious and beds were comfortable

The Inn has recently renovated most of their rooms and it really shows. Spacious and well appointed with both a room and bathroom sink. We had a king bed with a large sofa and a writing desk; plenty of room for all of our stuff. The additional sink outside of the bathroom really helped when we were trying to get out in the morning. The hot breakfast choice is good, but the pastry selection was weak and needed some real work. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I stayed there on the 29th of May. The inn needs a makeover for sure. Very tired looking. We got a suite, which was an absolute joke. It is basically a standard room with a wall built in to separate the room. The 'living room" is tiny!..no window!!?? Almost claustrophobic in there. Also it is the 21st of June and I still have not received my room incidental charges back! Unacceptable, especially considering I can not get someone to tell me when that will drop off. Go elsewhere!

Great location. Fantastic room with everything in working order and very clean. Didn't hear a thing from any adjoining rooms. Friendly staff. Don't be discouraged with parking when you pull in, there is plenty of parking in back. The breakfast had a great variety with something for anyone I would think. I would absolutely plan on staying here again when in South Bend.

We had a great room on the third floor. It was a very clean room with two double beds. The bathroom was a little small and we had some problems using the wi-fi. We were able to get our phones to work, but could never get connected on my Mac. We were right across from Notre Dame. We were able to drive over after dinner and just walk around for a bit which was nice. One disappointment was that we did buy water from the pantry at $2 for 16oz. Why did I enjoy this so much more than most? After some thought, I have come up with insights. The manager moved among the guests and staff quietly checking the atmosphere, seeming interested in meeting your needs. The staff reflected her style. We were deceived by the name of this hotel, expecting a quiet place to rest before our Notre Dame tour. What we found was a hotel filled with military men (and their ladies?) who were loud and monopolized the single laundry machine and dryer.
