I called directly to this hotel to make a reservation. I gave the date of my one-night stay and was quoted $99 for the one night. I gave the reservation clerk my credit card information and at that point she said, "Oh, I'm sorry it is $300 (and some odd dollars) with a two night minimum because it is Kentucky Derby weekend. Would you like to book the two nights?" Needless to say, I did not spend over $600 for a one night stay and I find it hard to believe she could not tell me this informati... Read more

We stopped here after a three hour traffic jam. There was a $25 pet fee but the place was really clean and they gave us a first floor room near the back door so it would be easy to take our dog out. Clean, up-to-date places are hard to find when you have a large dog. This was a realky good stop.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite, the room itself is very large and looked pretty clean and had a microwave and full size refrigerator, the bed was a king size and that is the end of the good things I can actually say about this place! I had to sleep on the pullout "bed" and let me tell you all that if you are unlucky enough to actually have to sleep on one of those god- awful things, I am sorry! First off, It was dirty and had food crumbs all over it, then there were no pillows anywhere to b... Read more

Rooms were small with full size beds not queen but very clean. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was very good with several chioices. Turkey sausage, pork sausage, eggs, biscuit and gravey. Also several other options. We picked here at random last minute stop on a road trip.

Stayed here for three nights in May of 2016. Place was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was well stocked and the area was clean. The breakfast was typical for Holiday Inn Express with enough choices to get you started for the day. The breakfast area, lobby, and pool were all just a tad small. It was never a problem while we were there and the hotel was booked full and it was fine. The staff was very kind and accommodating. They even helped me play a joke on one of my travel buddies. C... I was in the area when a large motorcycle rally was going on locally. Most hotels were booked but I was able to secure a room here. Checking the prices now it appears they had increased the price by about 60% but supply and demand is profit. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were very friendly. I would stop here again if I'm in the area and need accommodation but hopefully the price will be cheaper.

Overnight stay, the staff was friendly and helpful. We called the front desk at 10.30pm because of doors slamming and a dog barking next door. They said they would take care of it and did immediately. Very thankful because we were able to sleep then. The server for breakfast was cheerful, helpful and kept things neat and stocked. Overall the property was clean and well maintained.

Booked this hotel for an overnight during an extended road trip. The hotel was well appointed and room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and loved the quality linens and the pillows labeled "firm" and "soft". The only down side about the room was the dated narrow tub/shower. I'm petite and didn't realize how spoiled I have become by the roominess of garden-sized tub/showers. Staff members were helpful and most pleasant. The free breakfast included hot foods like scrambled eggs, sausage... Read more

WOW, the Hotel was so nice, and the people there the best. I actually left my Samsung notepad there and after a week, I remembered I left it there. SURE ENOUGH, they were holding it for me. Shipped it to my home.

We stayed here last year on our trip to Tennessee. Staff is friendly and rooms clean. Continental breakfast is great and we'll stocked. We will return next year. Only thing is. Make your parking lot bigger. Not everyone has a compact car.

I stayed in this hotel June 15th. I checked in very late that evening. When I went into my room the temperature was pretty warm. I assumed, like many, they had turned off the cooling to conserve energy. I turned the air down to 68 to cool the room and went to bed. It didn't seem to cool it down quickly. I awoke around 2:00am in a sweat. I looked at the air and it was still set on 68 but the room was still very hot. My watch has a temperature gauge on it and it displayed 78 degrees. I turned the ... At checkout I found a daily $2.99 "environmental fee" was added on. This was a management generated charge to take a few more bucks from their customers without disclosing it on the quoted room price. Remarkably dishonest practice, apparently allowed by the Holiday Inn corporation.

Stayed two nights. Staff friendly and professional. Clean rooms. Air conditioner could not remove moisture and room was rather clammy. Excellent coffee service in dining room. Close to several restaurants, so that is convenient.

We were here for an extended stay due to a home remodel. We had previously been at the Hampton Inn. The Holiday Inn it's much quieter. This staff is much more pleasant to deal with. We had room 129 and it is handicap accessible. Lois and Pressley we're always readily available to help if we had questions or needed towels. If you're looking for a hotel in the Scottsburg Indiana area go here. Avoid the Hampton Inn and it's high charges. Holiday Inn is close to the Cracker Barrel restaurant, Kentuc... Read more

My daughter and stopped here for the night in our way to Nashville. Price wasn't bad and everything was clean. The beds were VERY comfortable and quiet. It seems like a lot of hotel beds creak when you sit on them or move, these beds made no noise. The breakfast was good. They had a pancake maker, I guess I'm a little sheltered I've never used one before. I would absolutely stay there again.

Won't stay here again .... First, rate wasn't the same when I got there.... After using App but no big deal $5 difference.... Old building... Old rooms.... No frig or microwave.... Again not A big deal.... Terrible paint job.... Plaster missing... Paint chipped.... Mirrors chipped.... It's just old and they try to slap paint on to spruce it up... Tv is annoying.... Like old RF signals to change channels that have long delay .... Not the usual Holiday Inn I'm used to.... Seems they bought out an ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel after a long day of driving through 3 states. We had a reservation and I am a rewards points member with IHG. I expected better service and better accommodations than what I received here. We entered the hotel behind a party of 3 others. They didn't have reservations, but that was no problem there were plenty of rooms available. This group had many questions and requests and the desk clerk answered each and every one in complete detail, while we waited. Finally after 20... Read more

Stayed in this hotel in Sept. of 2016. Clean, comfortable hotel with well trained, helpful staff. I would like to give particular thanks to Lois M. on the front desk with her help in the morning when there was a small issue with the printer in the business centre. Thanks to her, I was able to print the reports I needed for my meeting while Iva Roberts arranged for servicing of the printer. I will stay here again.

Our family stopped late for a nights stay. The room was just what we needed, nothing fancy, but we just needed a place to lay our heads. Clean! Breakfast was the best spread we had on our vacation. Close to the highway so it was easy on/easy off. Would stay again

Highly recommend! Easy on and off highway, eating places in walking distance, friendly, clean, nice morning express breakfast. Comfortable beds and pillows, keurig in the room, fairly quiet for as many cars as were in the lot.

Arrived at 10p on Thursday night, Oct 27 from Peoria, IL. Check was easy. Had breakfast downstairs on Friday morning while planning our day at the Kentucky distilleries on Friday. The staff was friendly, the food good and the room was clean. My friend liked the Citrus (?) lotion in the room.

We made reservations ahead and were pleased with the reasonable price. The girl at the front desk was polite. But the rest of the visit was sub par for Holiday Inn Express. The room was uninviting, dust on the lamps, carpet at door was very worn. The worst was the door in the bathroom which was awful, pealing and in need of work. My husband wanted to use the pool. It is small and very cold. No whirlpool. Lobby was decorated very beautifully.

The friendliest people in the world work here! .. and our room was really nice, too! ..and the breakfast was one of the best we've had for an 'included' type hotel! We had been driving for almost 9 hours by the time we arrived at this location and just needed a break.. when I checked in it felt like I was more of a "friend" than a "customer" which was great! We needed directions to a local attraction the next day and the desk person gave me perfect directions to get there -- and they extended ... Read more
