Honestly, this is a fantastic spot. Would stay here if ever in the area with one problem. The rooms for Derby Week were $179 a night - which for a hotel 30 miles from Louisville is a decent deal. Great hotel. Next year - they have almost doubled their rates. DOUBLED. So, as good as this spot is, there are plenty of comparable locations for Derby in Louisville and just inside Indiana for $100 a night less. So...great spot, but their great has immediately removed them from consideration as a place... Read more

We were headed further south and got caught in an ugly storm and wanted to get off the road. The front desk attendant was warm and gracious and the room was very nice and the breakfast was wonderful. Lots of healthy choices! Super friendly and clean place.

The hotel was recently refreshed. Everything functioned properly in the room, the place was clean, and the staff lovely. The breakfast was a little better than I expected; plenty of oatmeal and fresh fruit. Good choices for dinner are close by (walkable).

This hotel is 35-40 minutes from Louisville, KY. The room was clean but getting "tired." The staff was cordial and attentive. Especially one young man who helped with a loose tv cable and one evening desk clerk. A microwave in the room would have been nice. As would a weight bench and free weights in the exercise room.

The room was ok until our we turned on our air conditioner and it began to leak. Got the rug all wet so you had to walk all the way around so you wouldn't get your feet/socks wet. Our floor was quite noisy with children and dogs. Front desk gave out our room number (key) to another guest and they opened the door that night. When I called down to discuss, the clerk denied he had done that. Not sure what happened then.

Great value, I too found this location and used 10,000 Rewards points. Pool, hot tub, exercise room were well maintained. There was a motorcycle rally in the area due to Memorial Day weekend. They enjoyed their stay as did we. Hallways were quiet during the night. Rooms well maintained and comfortable. Always a great variety on the complementary breakfast. Right off the interstate.

Friendly staff. Good stop between Louisville and Indianapolis (closer to Louisville, 35 minutes from SDF). Tricky to get to because of interstate construction. Hotel is walking distance to well known fast food places, and a decent steak place next door. 24 hr Shopping is 1/4 mile away in case you forgot anything.

After a day of hiking, and driving in the rain, we reserved a room thru Check-in was friendly and quick. Our room was on a higher floor, and the luggage cart and elevator made moving our gear easy. Well-appointed, the room offered everything we needed - plenty of towels, Neutrogena soaps 'n shampoo, electrical outlets for our gadgets, and comfortable beds. By the way - the bedding was different from anything I've seen before - the top sheet was also the duvet/comforter. Quite comfor... Read more

There were a few problems with our stay, but moist were resolved. When we checked in our room type we reserved was not available, so they gave us our room for free! We were OK with that, but when we got to our room, there was a small stain (blood?) On the comforter and dirty sheets on the sofa bed. Someone came up right away and changed all the bedding. I think her name was Wanda and she was so wonderful and worked so hard. The room was pretty clean otherwise. The only issue that couldn't be res... Read more

Before we left home my husband researched hotel selection around Vevay and Madison,Indiana for our trip. Even though it is about 20 miles away it was the perfect place to stay. It was very clean and well maintained with a very attentive and friendly staff. When my husband let the day manager know he couldn't select the massage selection on the shower head, a new one had been installed while we were away doing genealogy research in Madison during the day.

Although the lobby/breakfast area looks nice and clean the rooms and hallways need some work. Carpets were worn/dirty and rooms need to be renovated. Our suite had closet doors that would not shut do to a track problem. The kitchen area are very dated. They would do best to take out the kitchen area and make it more for business.

This hotel is very nice from the outside and the lobby is very attractive. The rooms are clean. We also noticed the musty smell others have mentioned. I think it is because the halls are not air conditioned and they become warm. Once we got into our room we lowered the a/c and left it running. The mustiness got better.
