My adult son and I stopped here on our way to Chicago. Unfortunately the desk clerk upgraded me to a King bed with pull out when I registered for two queens thinking he was doing me a favor. However, I would have preferred the two queens because he is a cover hog and I wasn't going to make him sleep on the pullout. Clerk apologized profusely and accepted responsibility but I was too tired to make a big deal about it. Otherwise a nice stay. Conveniently located off the highway.

Was traveling for business and stayed for a couple of nights. Comfy bed, tasty breakfast. My only cocern was that at times it was fairly difficult to get some help from the front desk. I would stay here again.

Was a pretty good stay. We were quite satisfied with the amenities in the room and at the hotel. The staff at the front desk and taking care of the complimentary breakfast were helpful and friendly. The food wasn't bad. The pool was nice. And our room looked cleanly and taken care of. The location wasn't bad either. Really close to some of the dune parks including the state park. An alright drive to a few shops and some local and chain restaurants. A good package.

The beach is close by and so is Chicago if you choose to not stay in the city and pay for hotel and parking. Parking here is well lit and free. The breakfast was good and if you choose to eat at the hotel or Denny's down the street if you would rather do that. Less then 2 miles for the Chicago Line Toll. I had a pretty pleasant stay. The only things I can really say negatives are the room had some deep down areas that needed cleaned better and unfortunately, the group of kids that entered the hotel at 2:15am were extremely loud and disruptive. Makes for a long day when you get a poor nights sleep. The price was great and location for where I was working was great. If I stay again I hope I'm not placed but a group of loud teens!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Although, not a newer hotel, the staff made up for it, by maintaining cleanliness and overall character one would expect from any of the various Hilton hotel partners.

The staff was really nice at this hotel, but it's really in an area that isn't very inviting. I also had a few issues with my reservation, but the staff was more than accommodating on this front. More than anything else, this property suffers from a poor location.

We had a nice stay in this hotel. Easy to find, and an easy drive to the Portage River Walk area. The hotel was clean and comfortable with ample parking. Check in and out was quick with no wait. Staff were very nice and helpful. We did not have any problems, however I did notice in our room there was no closet or other place to hang clothing items. The shape of the tub was kind of strange - the bottom was rounded which makes you have to stand with feet together or you felt off balance. Our room ... Read more

Great breakfast with oatmeal and toppings! The lobby is beautiful. For a hotel this close to Chicago, it was a great value. this a small hotel but has the same qualities that are expected from a Hampton. It is tucked back in a quiet location but not too far from the beaches and casino. I have found consistency in most Hilton properties and for the most part this inn lives up to them. I was disappointed to find the bathroom not as clean as most are. There were hairs on the floor as well as in the tub/shower. I'm not sure that the floor in the room had been thoroughly vacuumed either. The property is a little older than most I've been in and rooms could use an update. The beds could be updated as well. Staff tried to be helpful and compensate for issues, but I guess there's only so much they can do there. Room fan would not keep circulating, bathroom floor tiles were cracked and grout was missing between them, bathroom floor had not been cleaned under sink, the bottoms of our feet were grey and dirty within an hour of walking on carpet. I'll drive further to another Hampton on my next trip.
