We were on our way back from Chicago airport heading towards Columbus after a very long international flight. Our car flashed maintenance Required couple of times so had to get the oil changed before we took off. It was getting late and the jet lag just wearing me off. After it was getting difficult to even drive at 65 and we just entered Indiana I decided to pull over at Portage. There were a few options like holiday inn comfort inn some lodges etc. We decided to try comfort inn. My choice hote... Read more

We have stayed @ this motel several times but this time was our last I think. In the past it had been average...this time I feel it was borderline unacceptable. There were only 2 towels, 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths available and they were on the skimpy side. The shower was either very slow drizzle or full blast 3 stream. It was an adjustable head but only 2 spots worked at all. There were blood stains on the sheets and a black stain on the comforter. One of my biggest pet peeves is having th... Read more

Comfort Inn was the first stop of our cross country road trip. We found our room to be clean and large and the bathroom was more than adequate. The front desk staff was very helpful and in particular, one young lady assisted us in accessing the WiFi. After a long day travelling, the bed was comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was hot and filling, a great start to the day.

I stayed two nights at the Comfort Inn. It was convenient just off the interstate, quiet and clean. It looks a bit worn and has no elevator, but I stayed on the ground floor so that was not a problem. The room was fine but the small refrigerator would come noisily all the time and woke me up many times in the night. I finally just unplugged it.

So titles because of the sign out front. On pleasure trip cross country. Booked ahead. Just off I90. Convenient location. Check in was quick. Desk staff friendly. Room was nice and clean and beds were super comfortable. Breakfast area nice and clean. Waffles were great. Good selection of food items hot and cold and healthy. Overall good value. Good room. Good night's rest.

This Comfort Inn has friendly helpful staff and is conveniently located but is older and leaves a bit to be desired in that it lacks in now common amenities. There is no pool, no fitness center, no guest laundry, no guest computer and no elevator. Given that, the property offered very comfortable beds, newer furniture and décor, flat screen TV, frig and microwave, overall a pleasant room experience. The bathroom area however was a bit quirky and made me laugh, nice granite counter top but they ... Read more

Other than clean sheets and a comfortable bed, this place is a dump. Filthy carpet, peeling wall paper, air vents furry with dust. Unidentifiable stains on furniture. Towels threadbare. Furniture from the seventies. Chrome peeling from tub fixtures. Smells of mildew throughout. We have been faithfull users of Comfort Inns for years and have never been dissatisfied until now. We will give the chain another chance but never again at this squalorly hole. Our best advice is keep driving, there is a ... Read more

Friendly person at the desk. This is a place to stop and rest on your way to your destination. First room we got, door didn't close. We were moved to another room. The shower pressure was very weak. We didn't get our morning call that we had requested the night before. We were hungry after ddriving the whole day. We arrived in the evening. As soon as we checked in, we asked for a suggestion about where we could have dinner. The place recommended was awful.

They give us our requested ground floor room and room smelled great, looked great and very clean. Beds slept nice and pillows were very comfy. I really liked having the lemon water in the lobby since it was a rather warm day when we arrived. The coffee is very good and breakfast was good as well. This was the second year in a row we staying at this hotel and it didn't disappoint either time. We will stay again when we come through next year.

This older hotel is a good place if you are bringing a small dog but otherwise, I would suggest driving 3 miles east to Porter and staying in the newer Comfort Inn there because it is newer and has a pool. But the rooms were a bit bigger in this hotel than in many newer Comfort Inns and our room on the back side of the first floor was fine although it was noisy from trains running throughout the night. It was clean though. The breakfast was typical hotel food but the dining room was extremely... Read more
