Was fortunate to get a room so close to Louisville where most hotels were booked up and the prices were outrageous (twice as expensive) as this clean, quiet hotel) as the city was hosting the NRA convention. By the time I was departing the next morning the breakfast area was full of people in town for the convention. There are only two hotels to choose from in or near downtown New Albany and access of I-64 is a snap. Hotel is located in a very quiet area nestled in a residential area away fro... Read more

I recently spent a night at this hotel as was in town for a friends retirement. Was totally impressed with all the changes they had made. I had stayed here before but it was a different hotel then. I always try to stay at Hampton as they normally have great rooms, nice pool, hot tub and great free breakfast. This hotel is close to downtown and had everything I needed. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was very good.

Overall this is a nice hotel. However, it's location is better suited to the business traveler versus the vacationer. There is a lack of dining close. But, the staff is great, what I have come to expect from the Hilton brand. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable and having a refrigerator and microwave in the room is always very convenient.

This is a pretty typical Hampton Inn. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was OK. We did online check-in and chose a room on the third floor facing the residential street. Hotel was pretty quiet. Fitness room was small, poor ventilation, one treadmill, one bike and one elliptical. The second day we chose to take a walk rather than go back to the fitness room. Location was convenient to the highway and to Louisville. There were restaurants and a gas station nearby. I would stay at... Read more

as a Hilton honors member, I booked online as always, even choosing my room online! Upon arrival , my 7 year old daughter wanted a room closer to the indoor pool. The staff was nice and graciously granted our request to change rooms. The hotel and room was very clean, updated and nice! The indoor pool is awesome for the kids. The morning breakfast was nice (the typical Hampton breakfast). We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding that was in New Albany. When in the area, would definitely stay agai... Read more

I almost always pick Hilton properties for my hotel needs. I know they will meet my expectations. This one, unfortunately, was an exception. We were there for a family event. It started a 1pm so we did not leave the room before then. As we left we took down the Do Not Disturb sign and left for 8 hours. When we returned the room had not been cleaned. Bed unmade, no clean towels.... We have had stays where we left late for events many times. NEVER have we returned to an uncleaned room. I... Read more

I stayed at this hotel because I was in Louisville for a concert. It was a good price compared to downtown Louisville as long as your okay with a short drive from downtown to the hotel. Our room was nice and it seemed like a good area surrounding the hotel. The complimentary breakfast wasn't stocked when we came down to eat but it was most likely because the hotel was full the night before.

No well at all. Not only did the bathroom fan run all night long, I also had ants crawling on me in the bed when I awoke and when discussed with "Brooke" who advised that she was the General Manager - she informed that she was "so sorry for my troubles" and wanted to make it right. She agreed to comp the nights stay and add Bonus HH Points to my account. Was looking for a hotel close to Jeffersonville, IN and automatically went for the Hampton Inn since we have had such good experiences with them in the past. We knew nothing of the area besides it was close to Louisville. The area of the town where the hotel is located is very sketchy. Was overpriced for what we got. The bed and room were comfortable but the shower curtain slid down making the water splash everywhere. Huge stain on chair foot rest. Breakfast wasn't very good but everything looked clean. The website price wasn't the same for what we actually paid. This room had a saggy mattress. It smelled as if it had been smoked in over the years. The decor was dated, with no outlets for electronic devices. This was our 3rd Hampton Inn on a cross country trek. All the others were great. We couldn't wait to check out of this one.

We typically stay at Hampton Inn's because they change the bed covers between every guest. The rooms are predictable, the wi-fi is free, and the breakfast buffet is hot and good. We were there with our Bicycles and soon found a bicycle trail that followed the river for awhile. Very convenient location.

We've stayed at this hotel for years, as it's right down the street from my in-laws. It desperately needs a management overhaul! The rooms (and property generally) are not maintained, and the bathroom was so disgusting this time I didn't bathe my child in the tub. With the continuing construction on the bridges across the Ohio River (and the resulting traffic problems), I wanted a hotel in Indiana while doing business in New Albany. I chose the Hampton Inn. The staff at check-in were nice. The lobby was fine. The room was adequate, but very old and need of renovation. The most significant turn-off was the fitness room. The king bed was firm without a foam topper, which I liked but may not be desirable for some guests. The Hampton lives up to the reputation of the brand. The property is older but the interior has been updated and the exterior is very well maintained. The Hampton Inn New Albany was a clean and comfortable hotel, just across the bridge from Louisville. The only negative is the confusing pattern of roadways when leaving the hotel and getting back on I-64, but I suspect that had something to do with construction in New Albany. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast seemed to have a greater variety than many Hampton Inns. All-in-all, a convenient nice hotel.

This hotel is right next to I 64 and only about 10 minutes to Downtown Louisville. The checkin process was quick and easy. The room had a comfortable bed and bedding. It looked clean but definitely had an "off" smell (it smelled dirty/ stuffy) I'm guessing the carpet or upholstered furniture was to blame. The breakfast coffee was barely lukewarm, the scrambled eggs tasted like plastic and the oatmeal was watery and barely warm. I would not want to stay there again.
