I booked this hotel seeking a property that had good reviews in terms of cleanliness, comfort and proximity to downtown since I was traveling to Indianapolis with my daughter and her friends and their parents for the NCAA Women's Final Four. The price was right but I worried about location as it is on the edge of downtown and bordering a less than great neighborhood; HOWEVER, the TripAdvisor reviews were reassuring (and accurate) stating that guests felt safe at the hotel and that it was a clean... On a budget it's great. Good location to near by college(lots of fast food places) and Children's Museum(like 2 miles). However the beds were so firm it hurt and the pool was freezing because it is NOT a heated pool and only 11 people are allowed in it at one time, TINY!! The continental breakfast was horrible except the bananas and yogurt! Also it is a weird location-very industrial, But the closest to museum and cheap and rooms were pretty clean.

Spent a week at the facility and was very impressed how it was. Being a budget hotel I did not expect it to be as nice as it was. The only complaint that I have is something that they cannot handle, it is right next to train tracks and sometimes trains come through and have to blow their horns at the crossing. So it is an inconvenient alarm at 0330 in the morning.

This is not a destination hotel where you come and want to stay at the hotel because of all it has to offer. The negatives: 1. It's to far to walk to Indy center city 2. There are no eating establishments within an easy walking distance. 3. The Sleep Inn shuttle downtown runs only 6 times a day, morning and evenings, and you have to sign up for that. 4. There is no taxi stand. You have to call for a taxi. 5. The pool is like a large bathtub, very small. 6. The gym is a joke, 4 pieces of tired eq... Read more

Desk staff very helpful and friendly. It is clean, rooms are big and nicely furnished. Wifi worked well. Our trip was to IU medical for a procedure. I did not eat breakfast but my husband did. It opened at 6 AM and that is when he was there. Any thing that should be hot was cold, eggs, meat, etc. The coffee was not good but he said the orange juice was really good. This Sleep Inn is very close to campus, nothing around it but industrial buildings. did not hear any trains in the night. Closest fo... Read more
