I enjoy the different types of slot. My mother likes the slots that move and shake. She loves the news that show the coins raining down.

Frequented this property less and less over the years. The experience is average at best with multiple options just a slightly further drive away. The only upside is that customer service is usually pretty good. The gaming options are plentiful, lots of slots, video poker and automated craps and blackjack as well as table versions. Lots of table card games available too however the minimums are usually set at $15. Domestic beer / wells are $4 and food options Buffet (big) Smoke & Rye (when ... Read more

A host NEVER greeted me. Beverage service via the slots is non-existent. I had ordered a coffee with cream via the slot machine and waited over 30 minutes; it NEVER came. JB's Steakhouse was dismal. Steaks came out incorrectly cooked. A manager came over and had new steaks cooked. Those came out completed wrong and tasteless. And, the slots are locked up tighter than a barrel.

Horseshoe is a great place to spend the weekend while sightseeing in the Louisville area. Although not too large, the casino offers a nice variety of gaming as you wind down in the evenings. Even better, hit the casino early before your daily adventure when the place is quiet and the coffee is free! The hotel is quite a walk (10 minutes?) from the boat, but that's an advantage when you're going to be sitting at a machine for a while! There's also a great pool and several restaurants to choos... The room was a smoke free room but the room smelled of smoke. We have gotten used to this on the smoke free rooms so we always take Fabreeze and Lysol to fummigate the room. This won't stop us from going.. Just inconsiderate of those smokers before us. Overall the place is fun and the food venues are acceptable.

My last review showed disappointment in the hotel. However, I was very impressed with some of the room renovations that have taken place since my review in 2015. Very nice tiled bathrooms, new extra comfortable beds. Very nice Jacuzzi tub and shower upgrades. The hotel restaurant was still a disappointment. The staff was very friendly at all levels. They do push a 'green' save the environment approach for those who appreciate that. I look forward to my next visit.

We spent a weekend at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana Resort to celebrate a weekend getaway for our 29th Anniversary. The casino and hotel were just so, so; it's definitely showing signs of age. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The pool area was huge for an indoor pool. We wish that they would have also had an outdoor pool or maybe a pool bar. The spa services were average at best. So, I understand that this isn't Las Vegas, and the rooms here are not expensive. That said...my non smoking room definitely smelled like smoke, and my door didn't latch properly. From the inside I could turn the handles and close the door fine. When leaving the room, I had to use a credit card to hold the latch back to close the door. Complained about EARLY noises from renovation work received apology, but no type of compensation (free b... Read more

I had a great time when I stayed at this location. It was the first time I had stayed at any of the Horseshoe casinos. I am pleased and look forward to my next visit. I guess it was also a plus because I was able to boost my points from my original winnings.
