Everything about this hotel really was nice with the exception of the mattress, worse night of sleep I had had in a very long time. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and hot, staff was very friendly.

I had booked a room on the wrong date. Brian who was working the counter at the time, was able to get my reservation canceled. After which he got me into a room for the correct date. I have stayed here in the past and the staff has always been courteous and very helpful. I will stay here, when in the indianapolis area in the future.

Nice room my only complaint was the water was not hot when I took my shower in the morning. It was lukewarm at best. The Breakfast food was good especially the cinnamon rolls. The counter staff was very nice and helpful.

Bed comfortable. Can hear road noise from the hotel room. Ask for room opposite road. Housekeeping lacking. Room refrigerator was dirty. Bedside tables sticky. Breakfast area was not kept well. Sticky syrup not wiped up. There was also sticky syrup on the elevator floors what was not dealt with. We had an issue with toilet leaking. Asked for it to be repaired. Never got repaired. Had water on our room floor all of the time. On departure day, the toilet did not work at all. Sigh...

I cannot say enough about how nice and helpful everyone here was. Sonya, Brian and "Momma" Teresa were all amazingly friendly. My sister-in-law said that the hotel was "like a bizarre world where everyone is friendly, nice and helpful all the time!" They all went the extra mile for us and we really appreciate it!

Stayed here for the night before continuing eastward on I-70. The room met the standards one expects for this chain. It was an oversized room with a desk, sofa bed love seat for watching tv and two double beds. There was also a changing area between the room and the bathroom. The main appeal was the bed. Between the pillow too mattress and then comforter I was set for a great night sleep.

We stayed here for 5 nights for the Indy 500. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly and gave us tips about restaurants to try during our stay. The suite was massive, with a large living room, and separate bedroom. The bathroom was clean and there was a plentiful supply of towels. Breakfast had an excellent range of items, and the free coffee available anytime was also very good. We did not make use of the indoor pool.

Well, I booked this hotel without doing any research into the surrounding area. A rookie mistake but I was in a hurry. This part of town is certainly not going to be mistaken for the nice part of town. It is not get shot kinda bad but it is not good either. People tried to ask for money at the local CVS. Restaurant selection was sub par with a few chain places and a couple of fast food options. The hotel room itself was very clean. But, the pipes the held the shower in place were so loose... Brian was an excellent person who helped me get a room. He was very courteous and helped me in a time of need. I had booked a reservation on hotels.com and thought I was getting a good hotel. (Clarion on 21st St.). That hotel had vagrants, smelly and dirty room. I refused to stay there. I went to several hotels in the area and found Holiday Inn Express. Brian helped me to find a room that was wonderful. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism. Wonderful person. I will recommend ... Read more

Nice hotel, clean but I don't think they understand what the meaning of suite is...I booked a two double bed suite and it wasn't what I thought it would be..highly disappointed about that. The "suite" was two rooms, one with two beds and a tv and the other pretty much empty with just a coffee maker and a mini fridge. When I book a suite I expect two rooms, both with a tv and sitting areas at a minimum. We got an empty second room. The breakfast is something I would avoid, at least the hot items.... Read more

We were traveling across the country west to east and stayed in Indianapolis for the night. This hotel put us on the East side of Indianapolis for a start the next morning where we didn't have to go across the town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and the breakfast was the best we had in hotels on our whole trip. My husband kept saying at the other hotels, "they don't have the breakfast that Indianapolis East had".

We were traveling with a basketball team that had to make reservations through the tournament...needless to say, many things change in the 2 months we made our reservations and we needed to add rooms, cancel rooms and get rooms next to each other and I had to call the hotel many times to get all this arranged which is usually a nightmare....FORTUNATELY for us we had BRIAN!!! Brian made everything so simple and was so accommodating with all the changes and many calls. I kept apologizing and he j... Read more

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. I was greeted at the front desk by a man named Brian McDonald. He was a very nice man who did everything he could to make my stay comfortable. He helped me whenever I asked for something and never seemed annoyed about it. If I ever had the chance I would love to stay there again!

Stayed here for four nights in June. Pros: The rooms were spacious and well laid out and about half of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Breakfast spread is nice (biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, etc.). Cons: The AC broke while we were out one day. While the front desk was very nice about getting it replaced, we did have to wait up for an hour for the repair man and the new unit didn't quite work property either so it never really cooled down all of the way in the room. I was concerned when we drove up to 4 guys smoking near the front doors. However we were greeted warmly at the front desk. While waiting for our room dripping swimmers were asking for more pool towels. The hallways needed vacuuming. We went to our room, which had a stale-smokey smell. We tried turning on the air, which didn't help. The mattresses were saggy and lumpy. With the help very gracious desk clerk our reservation was cancelled with no penalty and we were able to move to another holiday ... Read more

We recently spent a night at this location on trip to Indianapolis. There are several hotels at this exit and a few restaurants, although not a huge variety, but on this side of Indy there's not a lot of choices. The Red Lobster and the Texas Roadhouse seem to be the popular spots here with a couple of fast food choices as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful and courteous each time we passed by the front desk. The room was very large and spacious and came with a mini-fridge and mic... Read more

Our sports team was well taken care of during our recent event in Indianapolis. Group rates were reasonable, and the location was right off I-70 / 465 for quick & easy access to the city. We were worried the lack of meeting space would cause a problem for us to conduct head counts and gatherings. This ended up not being an issue as it was summer and we could easily spread out in unused parking lot areas, the lobby, as well as the breakfast area as it was not used during the day. First I want to say the greeting by Brian and his coworker was awesome. Being a sprite member I have a lot of IHG experience. His greeting was better then I have received at Crowne Plazas. The room was comfortable and well stocked. The hotel was quite and the bed was good. Now for the bad. I did not notice the toilet being extremely filthy and the black mold in the tub until the second night. I am attaching photos. Housekeeping is in need of better Quality Control here. I will also be s... Read more

I was in town for my husband's surgery at a local hospital. After a very long and stressful day, the front desk personnel were very helpful, directing me to the hotel when I got a little turned around, and also to a nearby restaurant. The room was very comfortable and roomy, with a seating area and separate bar/kitchen area.

I usually love Holiday Inn's but this one was disappointing. The room was just ok. It was super muggy in the room when we got there, took about 30 minutes for us to get a comfortable temperature. I had a real issue with the staff. They were rude and the 2 times I asked them a question they acted like it was a bother for them. Also they are extremely picky about hanging out in the lobby because there are rooms right next to it. Even for breakfast they were telling people to be quiet because of th... Read more

I had gone to a reunion at a nearby hotel convention center where I could not afford to stay overnight and I did not want to drive at night across I-70 to my home in New Castle. So, I reserved a room here. When I checked in at the desk and saw my room for the first time, I could not believe how big it was. It was bigger than my first apartment, which was a one bedroom apartment, that I rented many years ago. The room was clean, the TVs are a little small compared to other Holiday Inn Express hot... We are a family of five and as such it's hard to find a hotel with a single room to house everyone. I was excited to find this hotel at such a good rate for a holiday weekend, especially considering I had forgotten to book a hotel until the week before. First the good... the employees were all friendly. The room was HUGE! Two twin beds, a pull out couch, still room for a twin air mattress (the kids don't like sleeping in the same bed), plus the bathroom and an area with a microwave and frid... Read more

We stayed directly across from Lucas Oil Stadium for an all-star cheer competition on a Fri and Sat night. We stayed in two separate suites but truly liked both! The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. I very much appreciated the feeling of being "home" while living out of a suitcase or ordering out meals. The complimentary breakfast was very nice so that we didn't have to go out early in the morning while getting ready. We will definitely be staying here again!!
