We went on a business trip. A group of us were attending a conference, we loved the big suite, it was clean and well maintained. It smelled a bit like old food, but we used our diffuser and took care of it. Then cigarette smoke started coming through our bathroom fan.. we told the front desk. We chose a non smoking hotel with health reasons in mind, a couple of us are asthmatics, it is dangerous for us. We were rudely told they "can't do anything about it, we are not going to go knocking on doo... Read more

My spouse and I stayed here on a trip to the Women's Final Four. The suites were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The greatest strength--and weakness--of the hotel was its location. It is a short drive from the downtown area and from White River State Park, a wonderful walking area with lots of public art, a zoo, and museums. At the same time, it is in a hospital district, meaning that there are few shops or restaurants in the immediate area. The hotel does not have its own restaurant. So... Read more

Our family needed to be close to another family member while he had surgery. I found this Candlewood Suites on line and could not have been more pleased. We needed to beds and found a suite with two bedrooms, one bath, kitchenette, three flat panels, and more. It could not have worked out better. I highly recommend this location for someone who needs to be near the IU Medical Center.

We stayed at this hotel when my daughter had surgery at Riley. It was great in so many aspects but also lacked in areas too. The pluses were it is right across the way from many hospitals which is a huge bonus. Also the rooms are very spacious and more like an apartment than a hotel and fully furnished. The rooms are also very clean. So it's great for larger families or if you have a long term stay. On the down side the gentleman who helped me at booking said that he was applying the hospital... My husband and I were attending the Mecum auction and this hotel said they were fairly close so I booked a king suite online. When we got there the receptionist said the "code" on line indicated the hotel had the final say on the type of room & we were assigned a queen. I asked to be switched to a king & she said she would check with manager( which leads me to believe a king room was available) but the manager said no- guess we weren't good enough ?? The hotel wasn't booked full ! We have staye... Read more

We were quite surprised at how decent this place was for $99 on a weekend. Lowest price in downtown, free parking and a shuttle that only costs a few dollars. That's saves a lot right there, as parking at the hotel's right around the corner can cost up to $40 a night. Our room, a king suite, had a full kitchen, large restroom, separate bedroom, large windows, cold air. Yes, as expected, the furniture was slightly worn in places, carpet really could have been cleaner, but we were simply here... Read more

I had reservations for this hotel, and then had to call and modify it due to a death in the family. The very next day, I had to cancel altogether, for the same reason. A total of three nights booking, lost to the hotel. Both times, I was past the cancellation deadline. The operations manager, Dwayne Roberts, was gracious and understanding and very helpful all of the multiple times that I called. I hope I will get the opportunity to go out to Indianapolis in the future, and if I do, I know where ... Read more

I stayed here at this location due to business. This stay was to visit the area and be near the IUPUI. Its location is very deserted. The closest business is the Hospital system but there is no food amenities in walking distance. The rooms were nice and had everything needed for our stay. The front desk at this location wears many hats, check-in representative, guest service representative, and cashier for the on site mini market. So, checking in can take awhile to process. This place is more l... Read more

We booked using Hotel Tonight using a TMobile promotion. After we booked we realized there was no pool so we were sadly disappointed that we couldn't change since we used a 3rd party to book. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel and seen a very large outdoor pool. We were told the pool belongs to the sister property next door but we are able to use it. It goes from 3 to 9 feet and there was only one person out there besides our family of 6. It was very nice! Our room was very ni... Read more

The rooms are nice, but I don't think it was worth the $200+ a night we paid. There are precious few included amenities. The outdoor pool water was "green", no hot tub, no breakfast, no maid service, the only thing it had going for it was a small kitchen. For the money and the three night required minimum I would much rather preferred a super 8.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and the room size/kitchen was nice, but the property itself needs to be updated. It was clean, but dated. Also, as a taller guy (6'5") i sometimes have to watch my head, but this hotel was odd... even in the lobby i was hitting my head on signage hanging from the ceiling because it was very low. Even in the shower, the ceiling was so low i had to duck to avoid rubbing my knuckles when washing my hair. Finally, unless you are staying here a week or longer they d... Read more

Lovely place! All the necessities. Had surgery near by very early in the morning and we live 3 hours away. This place felt like home honestly. Although a little pricey, I got lucky with a patient discount and gift from family. I would definatly stay here again and will notice candlewood suites in future trips.

I was originally supposed to stay at the Candlewood Suites for three weeks, however after 5 days, my family and I couldn't take it anymore. The worst thing about this hotel is the smell. They use something to clean with that is down right nauseating. The elevators were dirty, the laundry facility had out of order machines filled with filthy water and The hotel guests feel free to put bags of trash at the elevators. Truly disgusting!! The Candlewood totally reminds me of a high rise housing ... Read more

I normally do not stay at an extended stay hotel,,,,that being said this place was nice. We stayed here for a convention (Gen-con) so we don't get a choice in hotel, you get what you get. Normally we get one of the hotels downtown and were a little upset to get this spot. Turned out great actually. It is a 5-9$ über ride to the convention center and we never had any trouble getting a ride. Hotel was clean,,,rooms big. Met a few "characters" at the pool but no one that wasn't nice. The s... I was going with some friends is I was looking some place near downtown. My brother in law had stayed at q candlewood suite in another state so I thought I would give it a try. The rooms were reasonably price and they were beautiful. It was more like an extended stay . they had a complimentary shuttle service that took me to and front downtown. It is quiet because it sits far from the road. They have a large laundry room which is totally free to guests. I definitely would stay there again... Read more

When we arrived, I was worried about the hotel since it was an older one. However, our 1 bedroom suite on the 12th floor was very nice. The room had a kitchenette with full size frig, dishwasher, microwave and 2 burner stove top. Cabinets have service for 4 (glass dishes), glasses, silverware and pans. The room was basically the size of a 1 bedroom apartment...very spacious. The hotel is minutes from the Children's museum, the zoo and all downtown events.

When walking in I wasn't impressed with the elevator. Looked outdated. The carpet in the hallway wasn't much better But when I got to my room, it was nice. I couldn't believe the size of the room. It was just me so it might have been a little more crowded with a family of 4 but I was comfortable. I stayed in a suite with a kitchen, pull out couch and a King bed. Everything was great. Only complaint was you had to put the TV channel into the remote to reach certain channels. the people at... Read more
