We spend an overnight for spring brake and loved it. I was very concerned about it after reading the reviews but I had all reserved already so we decided to give it a try. Rooms: Beautiful room. I had the King size beds with bunk beds (I have 7 yo twins). Since I had read about bed bugs that was the first thing I did. The room was impeccable clean (I am picky) lots of space. The room we stayed was on the 5 th floor almost in the end of the room. Love it because it was quiet and almost no noise.... Read more

This was a great weekend trip with the kids. Water park was super fun for 3 year old and 14 year old. Rooms were clean, check in easy. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone who wants to get away for a day or two. Park was crowded on the weekend but still had a great time!

Place was not bad. It's a decent place to stay in. The only two downfalls are that, the game room had the majority of the games out of order and that at 5 am of Sunday morning there was a huge crowd of ppl causing so much noise when my family was trying to sleep before our 5 hour ride back home.

At first when I booked our Friday and Saturday night stay I thought to myself, "That $338 price tag was a little steep!" We checked in about 8pm and got settled into our room. It was clean and comfortable. The only thing lacking that I wish it had was a mini fridge. They have a microwave in the hallway next to the vending and ice machine so that was available. Compimentery hot breakfast was a hit. It's a breakfast buffet with pancakes, French toast sticks, sausage links and pattys, scrambled eggs... Read more

My family and I, 3 adults and 3 children ages 16, 7, and 6, stayed at big splash adventure on a Friday night to Saturday mid day. We arrived at noon on Friday and I highly suggest going on an off day. Friday was nice there were very few people there and the wait for the water slides was pretty much a straight walk to the top. We planned to staying later on Saturday but it got packed fast and the wait for the water slides started at the bottom. However the little kids LOVED it! The older one had ... Read more

My husband and I stayed in French Lick recently for our anniversary in May. We did a package that typically allows for the water park ticket's and a full breakfast. I had stayed several year's ago when this hotel was newer and I found the rooms to be grossly in need of an update for wear and tear for this stay. I did not want to take off my shoes as the carpet almost felt crunchy from it's need for replacement. There needs to be some refreshing and overall appearance of the room along with the "... We booked two rooms (Captain's Quarters, I believe) as a last minute stop on the tail end of our vacation. The staff were super courteous and helpful during booming, check-in, dining in the restaurant, and while enjoying the water park. Our family of 5 adults and 4 small children had an incredible time. There was something for everyone from my 77 year old grandma to my 7 month old nephew. The rooms were large, with separate sink and vanity area, very comfortable King sized bed and handy twin siz... We had never been and decided we would do a staycation we live only about 1.5 hours away. Easy to find love the town of French Lick not a lot to do with kids. Visit Wilstem or Lark Ranch or even Holiday World. We are staying two nights. The water park is small but my kids enjoyed it they are 14/11. Water slides are fun but do hurt backs/bottoms. They were constantly cleaning. Only place seen dirt was near hot tub. But it was ok. Chemicals didn't bother us. But they had the roof open and door... Read more

The name of the place is a rip off the indoor Waterpark is extra. It is not included with the room as you would think with the name of the resort. Also if you boom be very sure that you are you are going because if you cancel they charge a nights stay regardless if you cancel before it is stated at booking.

Traveled with 3 adults and 7 children, 1 room was able to accommodate us all, with bunk beds and two king beds with 2 showers. Breakfast was free. Good times, great memories. The ride from Chicago was a bit much however the whole weekend was worth it.

We bought the double bed room/2-day water park pass special. This includes 2-day passes for up to four members, plus free breakfast buffet, plus room for 4; adding another person is $25 extra but includes park passes and breakfast. The room was your typical double bed hotel room, nothing special nothing horrible. Everything seemed clean throughout hotel, restaurant, park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a very decent spread considering it came with the special. ... Read more

My husband and I decided to take our two small children to stay at Big Splash Adventure for a short get away. Our first impression was that the hotel was not very clean. We checked in and went up to "our room" only to walk in on another family that was already in that room (thank god they were dressed). We went to the lobby and got another room assigned to us. It wasn't very clean but our kids were excited about the waterpark that we decided to suck it up and stay. The first night my husband wok... Read more

My kids and I wanted a last minute mini vacation before school started. We decided on French Lick, IN. We stayed at the hotel that the water park was attached to. The water park was nice. It had slides for big kids and slides for little kids. The lifeguards were attentive and very nice. My only complaint is that they need a sign or something at the smaller slides saying "wait until the child is at the bottom of the slide before going down the slide". I realize some kids can not read yet. There w... Read more

Only stayed one night and that was enough for my two boys, age 9 and 10. They had taken advantage of the water park for about an hour and a half the night we arrived then in the morning for a fee hours. The room was ok and so was the free breakfast. The water park was kept clean and so was the room. The beds weren't very comfortable and the humidity in the room caused us all to have some sinus issues the next morning. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of clean towels for the water park available, ... Read more

We purchased our Groupon deal for Wilstem Ranch package which came with a 2 bedrooms cabin for 2 nights, 4 passed to learn about the elephants at the Wilstem Ranch, 4 passes to Big Splash Adventure waterpark for a full day of fun and 4 passes to Big Shotz for mini golf or lazer tag. The Groupon deal was awesome for a family of four. Our boys (ages 11, 13) had a blast at the waterpark with all the water slides, lazy river, open pool area to play water basketball and valley ball and a small outdo... Read more

We stayed a night on our way home from myrtle beach. Our kids 8, 6,2 loved it. The hotel staff was very friendly. We loved the facility and it had plenty to do. Loved the new technology with the wrist band for everything! Only complaint would be the water was too cold and they kept the windows open in the evening we were freezing.

We spent this past Saturday at Big Splash Resort. Stayed in a double queen room. Room was spotless clean and beds were comfy. We met up with some family there and everyone said their rooms were clean as well. Our kids loved the water park and outdoor pool. My 14 year old was not as impressed. Definitely for younger kids. Arcade was ok but not very clean. Garbage was seen in most common areas and didn't see anyone actually cleaning it up. It just stayed a mess until closing time. Floors were dirt... Read more

We had the absolute best time on our family getaway!!! The prices were SO much cheaper than the "upscale" resort in town. The water slides were fabulous and the staff was attentive. The food was good and the rooms clean. A must see and visit!

We took advantage of a FANTASTIC fall deal for a mini adventure. Took grandkids (1-10) and they had a ball. Rooms were clean. Building and pool area clean. Full house the day we stayed, still lots of space and chairs at water park. Arcade by the pool and a 'beach'side grill. Full restaurant on sight. We will take advantage of the laser tag and putt putt on our way home. Want to get as much water time as possible. Our special came with breakfast at restaurant. Served buffet style, very good and ... Read more

This was our 2nd fall break visit to the hotel, our first being 5 years ago. The condition of the hotel has declined significantly. The carpet was worn and dirty, there was paint peeling from the walls and the rooms and common areas were generally dirty and dingy. Almost half of the games in the arcade were out of order. The air quality in the waterpark caused flu-like symptoms in 2/4 of us, despite following their suggestions to take breaks and shower with hot water following use. While we expe... Read more

A weekend in French Lick with a 4yr old could not have been more fun! After a train ride and partaking in the festivities of a 'Day Out With Thomas' on French Lick's Scenic Railroad; we checked into our room at the Big Splash . Not only was there waterpark slides for adults (my husband!), there was also a separate set of areas for the younger 2-6yr olds with slides, fountains and waterfalls! A lazy river ran through the middle of it that we all were able to enjoy. Our little guy even swam for a... Read more

The Hotel was clean and friendly staff. The water park was clean and well attended to. It's the 3 hour drive from Lexington that is the deterrent, but we will go back. There isn't a "Restaurant" other than quick fix pizza. Reservations for a nice steak house are at French Lick resort and require reservations, so make those when you make the stay reservations.

The waterpark is very entertaining for the kids and they have a bar outside where you can purchase adult beverages. The beds could be more comfortable, they do have rooms with bunk beds which the kids really enjoyed.

This is the second time we have visited Big Splash. The rooms are clean and fairly nice. The stall is very friendly and always willing to help. The price includes two days to the water park and a breakfast buffet. You can't beat it. Would not want to spend more that a couple of days because the indoor water park is kinda small.
