Hotel in process of renovation so rooms are clean and updated. All areas were clean, staff was friendly there is a exercise room and pool - NO HOT TUB Location was great for our visit. Major box stores near were restaurants. Hot breakfast as usual. We stayed in a room facing front of building and was quiet. Rooms across hall faced x-way don't know if that would make a difference. I love the Hampton brand. This was my first time staying at this location and the front desk staff was AMAZING - very friendly and helpful. "Kid" checked me in and went above and beyond - she was fantastic. The hotel was very clean and the bed was great, but is in need of updates - it feels a little dark and older. The location is very convenient to restaurants and highway. Overall, it was a good stay.

Quick trip to Ft. Wayne for a Basketball tournament. Daughter played at Spiece Fieldhouse. This hotel is about 5 minutes away, a short drive, and right off of the freeway. Hotel was clean, service was good at front desk. Breakfast area is just ok, it's in a very small room and during peak bfast time there isn't much to choose from or space to walk around. One waffle maker and the line everyday wasn't worth the wait. We chose to eat out. There is a cracker barrell located in front of the ho... Read more

We stayed at the Hampton Inn earlier this month. We walked into the hotel with no reservations and were greeted by Kid, the Manager and Rhonda. It was a pleasure dealing with these two. Kid was very friendly and helpful while Rhonda was friendly and was able to locate a room for us. The hotel was very clean and our room was very comfortable. Thank you so much Kid and Rhonda for being so helpful and friendly. Look forward to staying with them again.

My husband and I stayed here for a night on our way to a funeral. The bed was incredibly hard and lumpy, resulting in a nearly-sleepless night for both of us. The bathroom floor was uneven, making one feel as though a single wrong step would send you crashing through to the room below. The shower was small, with an oddly placed shower grab bar that we both kept bumping into. In addition, the floor of the shower was uneven. The included continental breakfast lacked the range of options that ... Read more

I have stayed at this Hampton several times as it is close to family visits. It has had its ups & downs but this was the final straw. When we walked in the room there was not a chair or couch in the room. Went to desk & was told "they" (Hilton) removed all extra chairs from rooms unless it was a suite. This is not acceptable to me. I will be changing my go-to hotel chain because of this. Not a way to win customers! There were cracks in the bathroom tile & missing trim on the air condition... Read more

Cons: > The biggest con of the stay was breakfast. We have stayed at plenty of these types of moderately-priced hotels that offer free breakfast as part of their amenities to know what to expect. No one expects this to be a gourmet meal, however "edible" is a basic requirement. Unless you are going to stick with cereal and yogurt plan on budgeting in breakfast elsewhere. I took one bite of scrambled eggs and spit them out. The sausage was so dry and overcooked it was barely edible. I used the di... Read more

We stayed here on the 18th and 19th of June. We could not ask for a better experience. Kat and her crew were the best, most friendly group of people we have ever met. Every single person met us with a smile and "How are you?" The room was "eat off the floor" clean. It was cleaned and refreshed both days. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel location, staff, and common areas are first rate. However, the rooms are in need of a serious remodel. The furnishings, carpeting, etc are dated and worn. Even though the room was clean, it's rundown contents gave the impression of being dirty. The rooms are significantly more dated and worn than any other Hampton I have stayed at in the past three years.

This is a great hotel to consider when staying in or passing through Fort Wayne. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Hotel is very clean and inviting. The guest room was spotless. Bed linens were fresh and clean. Even the curtains seemed like they had just been laundered. The toilet worked right and the shower drain was not plugged...two major grievances in other hotels. We had a very pleasant stay here. Our room was very spacious and absolutely loved how my 1 year old had so much room to roam. Our room was very clean, our beds were comfy. They keep the pool open later than most hotels I know so that was nice. I guess the only negative feedback I have was our breakfast just was not up too par. Room was very large and quiet even though it is close to a main highway. Plenty of food choices close by and a major grocery store to stock up your kitchen. Having lived in Fort Wayne for 10 years, we never had much reason to check out hotels. Now that we were visiting for the first time, it hit me the selection around town is limited. We stayed for 4 days when a family member was having surgery. The hotel was in a convenient location for the hospital and restaurants. We stayed in a one king suite. This worked perfect as our 11yr old and 9yr old each had a bed (rollaway and sofa bed). It was more like a 1 bedroom apartment. The rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable. This was the closest Hampton to the hospital where my grandfather was. We booked it on our ten hour drive in. Sad to say he didn't make it by the time we got in we didn't have enough energy to move hotels. The reasons why we didn't like it was as follows. The person that checks you in wasn't there. We had to shout out to see if anyone was even there. The refrigerator had hair in it. The ac unit had a car air freshener in it to make it smell better. The eggs for breakfast were like hard boiled.

The rooms in this hotel are out dated. It looks like they were remodeled in the 1990's and haven't been touched since. The couch had visible stains on it - which meant I did not want to use it. The bathroom light / fan was either falling apart - or halfway taken apart. It seems like something like that should be fixed prior to having someone stay in the room and charging them $165 per night.

It was hard to tell the difference between this hotel's location and a Holiday Inn Express. Also, no sugar free options at the breakfast buffet for syrups or jams. I have to say, while rare .......this is among the few Hamptons that is just not up to snuff. The desk staff is nice but the overall property is dated. The bed was as hard as a rock, the toilet paper and towels were as rough as sandpaper. The shower controls were very difficult to figure out and it took me 10 minutes to get a luke warm shower that was little more than a trickle.. The staff made note of this when I checked out. My advice is to spend an extra $30 and stay in either the Holiday Inn Express or any of the Marriott Owned Hotels.
