Close to the campus of Indiana University, restaurants and gas stations. Reservation center very helpful, All staff friendly and willing to help in any way. Breakfast had a nice variety of items available. One drawback, there was a strong chlorine smell as the indoor pool was next to the breakfast area and the lobby.

In the past 40 years we have sampled much of Bloomington's lodging stock. If our stay involves the IU campus we frequently savor the comfort of the IU Memorial Union. Other times we have come to rely on the Hampton. Convenient location coupled with an always bright and engaging staff brings us back to this property year after year. We were pleased this trip to find a major effort to freshen the property and look forward to our next trip to the Hoosier heartland. NOTE: We give this proper... Read more

We arrived at 1am and was so tired. They couldn't locate our prepaid reservation so it took a while to get our room keys but everything was resolved in the morning. Everything was very clean and nice. Can't ask for more. If I ever get to travel again I will look into booking with Hampton Inn. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and service. I highly recommend this place.

Hampton Inns are generally the same everywhere you go but this is a dated property. It was clean but definitely a lower end / no frills property. The price was far less than other choices available, guess that should have been a clue - no big complaints, only that this is a lower end budget property, not comparable to many of the new Hampton Inns I've stayed at.

We booked 15 rooms for a wedding weekend and although we had serious problems with the initial reservations and ease of our family and friends making their own reservations for the group/wedding rates, it turns out the problem was mainly with the national Hampton Inn reservations department who handled the booking of my original reservation. In all we enjoyed our stay but I must say the quality and cleanliness of this Hampton Inn was not as nice as others we have stayed at over the years. There is nothing specific to point out but you could see the wear and tear on the place and the carpet was not thoroughly clean. I do recognize that they are remodeling the 1st floor so I assume the other floors will follow. The pool area was really nice but the fitness room only had two treadmills.

This Hampton Inn, like all the others we have stayed at, was very clean and easy to navigate. The desk staff was courteous and accommodating, and the complimentary breakfast was tasty. The location was only minutes from our son's house, so we didn't have to spend a lot of drive time to get there. Our only criticism is the scarcity of electrical outlets - very important with all the technology everyone travels with these days!

This older Hampton is under renovation (a truck was delivering new furniture during our visit). Our king bed room was newly redone, with the closet replaced by a shelf and rod arrangement that is quite adequate for a short stay. There is a fridge but no microwave. Guessing this location has been remodeled, on-line reviews generally poor in past and better ratings recently. This is a perfectly fine hotel for an IU visit but not as nice as other Hampton Inns I've seen. Rooms decent, Wifi not so great, bathrooms need a little more work, breakfast is below average compared to similar hotels such as HI Express (HI Express in Bloomington is great!). A long, late-night drive with an anticipated 3AM check-in did not end well as the reservation had been cancelled even though the room was paid for in advance, and was confirmed both the month before, and the night before with Mike. The reason this did not get a 1 Star is because Adam was able to revive the reservation - albeit after a half hour at the front desk at 3AM - and the usual Hilton service.
