For the past 4-5 years I've stayed here for a four day annual conference that usually attracts around 80 people. The location is beautiful with many, though not all, rooms overlooking Lake Michigan. The staff has always been graciously accommodating, the food at the restaurant good and very reasonably priced, and the gym, indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub excellent. Indeed the indoor pool is the best I have ever found at a hotel. It is large, warm (!), immaculately clean, and I have rarely found... Read more

The room were very outdated. There was a leak that never got rectified. The shower plug was missing that got fixed by putting a plug in it! The receptionist was helpful but completely lacked social skills. We won't ever stay again!

Quick close get away for us. Rooms are nice, clean but older. Restaurant was amazing. Prices very low and quality very high. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for great views and thousands of acres of nature to walk.

I made reservations for this hotel through Travelocity. I contacted the hotel before our arrival to make sure there was wifi in the rooms as my husband was oncall the weekend of our stay. I was told he would be fine. After we checked in, he of course had a high ticket assigned and needed to log into work. The wifi would not work. Not only did we have an issue with the wifi in the room, the room itself was just awful. The carpet had stains on it and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed recentl... Read more

This isn't a review of the actual hotel, because we weren't even able to stay there. We have a family of 6 (four kids 5 through 11), and they don't allow that many people in one room. Fine - that's not an uncommon problem for us. They told us we needed two rooms (which is reasonable and we were willing to pay for that), but they couldn't guarantee they would be adjoining. What?!? They have adjoining rooms, probably specifically for a situation like ours, yet they couldn't let us book them? ... Read more

I do understand that the resort is under construction, but that is not an acceptable excuse for its poor housekeeping or maintenance. My family and In-laws stayed here for a little getaway Saturday - Sunday. We had booked two rooms, which was very pricey for the condition. We made reservations months in advanced but still were on opposite sides of the resort. The front desk had two new employees, which had no clue how to even find my reservations. The manager, I'm assuming, finally came to help... Read more
