Very pleasant stay, staff was very friendly and efficient, not crowded, quite peaceful throughout the day and night. Good value for the $$, I only wish there were more food options for breakfast and a bit more TV channel options (sports and movies) for nightly entertainment.

Very nice stay, for a smaller la Quinta, Quite location, could improve on breakfast a little bit but overall nice place. They are pet friendly with no pet fee which is great and the staff are very nice and happy people!!!!

First time at a La Quinta Inn. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean; however, the building is in need of some renovation, as the bathrooms, curtains and carpeting are dated. Great location right off 55, and good service. The place just feels dark and dated.

I had a great experience with your front desk gal Marcia. My Dad and I were coming into town for a graduation and needed early check-in. I called the day before to check if this was possible and Marcia was the person who answered the phone. She was very courteous and gracious but upfront with the reality of the situation. The hotel was sold out and she doubted that they would have anything open the following morning. She said she would be on duty that next morning and told me to give her a ... Read more

I've stayed at this hotel for the past 10 years (usually twice a year). Many of the same people still are employed over that whole span of time and I feel like family when I arrive. It's not luxurious, but it is definitely a step above for the price. Always look forward to returning.

Booked a single night stay the first week of May because of an early flight out of Midway the next morning. Arrived very late, after 2AM, check in was great, quick and efficient, room clean just as expected, no complaints. Unfortunately that night there was quite a rain storm and at about 3AM the ceiling started to leak. I was exhausted from traveling and just wanted to sleep so I put the trash can underneath it and went back to sleep. The next morning on my way out I mentioned the issue to th... Read more

Had to get a hotel room last minute because of a flight cancellation. A Southwest rep suggested this hotel since they didn't want me to choose one in a questionable area in Chicago (first time in Chicago, by myself). Stayed in room 313/King bed (smoking) The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The room was darn near immaculate. Had a nice size flat screen TV, Iron and board, hairdryer, and offered room service. Free breakfast also (not just coffee and donuts either). If I ever visit Ch... Read more

The staff are very friendly and the hotel is very conveniently located at the intersection of Interstate 55 and Kingery Highway a few miles from Argonne National Laboratory. Whenever I'm in the Chicago are, I stay here.

The staff was very nice and helpful but this is for family vacations only. This is not for business people because the hotel is very loud and your sleep quality will be poor. Also they have a very limited breakfast (1 waffle maker) which made me eat breakfast out.

This Hotel will be fine for many as the staff is good and the hotel represents a good value for what we paid. Pros: - The staff on our stay was very good. - The hotel was clean - It was a good value overall Cons - This is an older hotel that has been maintained well, however it is due for an update as some doors are hard to open, slam when they close, tub basins look original and show it, etc... - The smell of smoke on the 3rd floor was persistent. - The road noise outside was more audible in... Hotel was clean, afternoon and evening front desk was top notch.. morning left something to be desired... room was clean, no complaints. Breakfast was fair. I was visiting Chicago, this location is just far enough outside the city to be a nice escape without being too far away. Don't miss Del Chicken right around the corner, it's a RT 66 classic.

Except for the rude behavior of the staff "Kim", everything else was fine as far as the Hotel stay is concerned. As far as location is concerned, it might not be a right choice if your visit is mostly near downtown areas. I made a mistake by choosing this hotel and had to drive down about 25-50 everyday just to go to downtown and specific food choice. Also an important point - La Quinta needs to change the correct address. In the reservation it says 79th St, where as the actual location is West... Read more

I received an email to call the hotel regarding an issue with the room I had reserved. The issue was handled by a most friendly contact (Marsha), and I was happy. On arrival the front desk people were so upbeat, pleasant and appeared that they were genuinely happy to see me! The room was clean, the pull-out sofa bed very comfortable (my son got the king bed), and we both slept like rocks! It was quiet all night and breakfast in the morning was great. I would definitely stay there again!

Our room was on the 3rd floor which was fairly quiet for the most part. The food at the continental breakfast was good enough, one morning there was a long line for the waffles. The staff was friendly and graciously helped us change a room so our family could have adjoining rooms. The only complaint I really have is about the fitness center equipment. It is in serious need of being updated. Conveniently located near the freeways and highways without an excess of street noise or traffic right by ... Read more

I have NO idea how this hotel is getting good reviews. But based on the great reviews, we made reservations. Feeling a little apprehensive, we only paid for one night, thinking we would extend our stay if it was as good as these reviews. It wasn't!!! First of all, staff was very friendly. But that can't make up for a hotel that is dirty, smelly and old. My husband refused to take off his shoes in our room. I decided my socks were protection enough but even a short time walking around in o... Read more

This is my second attempt at reviewing this property. My first review was not approved by Trip Advisor. We stayed at this hotel for one night in June, 2016. Our 8yo girls were sleeping in a bed together and around 2:30 am one of the girls said there were bugs in the bed. We turned on the lights and saw a live bed bug. We took several pictures and I included those pics in my original review that Trip Advisor rejected. We took the live bed bug to the front desk and showed it to them at 2:45 am. ... Read more

We stayed for one night when we ended up having to make a last minute trip to pick a family member up from the airport. This hotel is in serious need of updating. It smells like a decade old ashtray that's never been washed. The rooms smelled musty, the sink in one of our rooms leaked, we had to finagle the AC unit to get it to work and the beds were very hard. I love La Quinta but don't think I will return to this one. I'll fork out the extra $50 and stay downtown somewhere instead. The b... Read more

We stayed for one night in an executive king room. We rated this hotel highly. It is an older property however so if you are expecting a new building you may be disappointed. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, large room. Shower was perfect. Check in was a snap. The gentleman on the desk recommended a great dining venue. Internet was very issues whatsoever.

The service was great the hotel! The hotel itself is just dated esp for the price I had to pay. I was expecting something more updated, nicer. The room was neat and clean though. I asked if there were handicap rooms esp with handicap bathrooms and was told they basically didn't have any at their hotel and what they considered their handicap was a queen or king bed room which didn't work for me because it was me and my sister in law staying in same room. Some things don't make sense.

Stayed here during a business trip, our rooms were booked minutes prior to arrival. The customer service here is exceptional. The room are average and the breakfast is mediocre. Conveniently located near major shopping centers.

The facility is clean, the staff is nice, and the breakfast was good as well. This is an excellent choice for a budget hotel. Although it doesn't have many fancy condiments, it does its job well to provide a cheap, clean, and enjoyable hotel experience.

I booked this hotel because it's located in a nice area near Chicago. Customer service at the front desk was cheery and friendly. However, the actual hotel room was smaller compared to other similar hotels. The bathroom door kept getting stuck, the room did not smell fresh and the carpet was or appeared to be humid. I got a room in the first floor which was nice because I had a lot of stuff to carry inside. I think that for the price I would have gotten a better deal at Red Roof Inn. I wil... Read more

This is a good hotel for the money, the coffee is horrible! La Quinta has a decent breakfast, but the coffee is undrinkable!! The coffee comes out of a machine where I can only assume it is some type of coffee syrup mixed with hot water. La Quinta management needs to drink this coffee! I will consider other hotels if they do not correct this problem.

I'm an elite member of La Quinta Returns and this was a decent play to stay. Accomodations were great and the staff were cordial. But I prefer the La Quinta in Oakbrook Terrace over this one. The ambience and overall feel was just more cozy.

We were transfererd to Willowbrook from Oakbrook Terrace due to a fire. They honored the booked prices and room preference. Have stayed at this hotel many times for Loyola hospital visits before moving to California. Friendly front desk staff. Rooms definitely need updating, but ok for a night or two.

I think the 4-star reviewers on here are reviewing another property. The carpet all smelled humid like there had been a flood. The room was tiny. Sink wasn't even in the bathroom. The closet was just an open nook with a rod and some hangers. The bed was beyond bad: hard, extremely uncomfortable. I tossed and turned all night before an important meeting with my largest client the next morning. Only decent thing I came across was the breakfast waffle the next morning. Beds seem clean but, overall experience was uncomfortable and unhygienic. General sense of lack of care and cleanliness. Wouldn't walk barefoot even in the shower. A former Baymont Inn, judging by the design, but nothing wrong with that. Comfortable bed, quiet, clean. Bathroom clean. Passage from elevator did stink of smoke, which was initially worrying, but our room was just fine with no odor at all, specially after we opened window and ran bathroom fan to make sure. It was fresh and clean smelling after we had been out all day, with the window shut. Carpet was new and clean. Paid extra for fridge and microwave. Fridge was completely silent. No han... Read more
