This hotel is top notch! I stay here any time I have a conference and every time is a great stay. The beds are SO comfortable and I am able to wake refreshed for each day of my conference - not to mention the great coffee available in the lobby and in room. The conference facilities and food are great. When I can, I take my young daughter and a sitter with me and they love the pool area too.

This hotel is located within walking distance of the Lincoln historic house and the Lincoln museum as well as downtown eating and shopping. The staff was very friendly and the room clean. There are no major streets to cause noise problems after dark. The breakfast though not free was good and there were several good restaurants within walking distance.

My family and I spent 1 night in Springfield and this hotel was great! Perfect location right in downtown, staff was friendly and most important the room was clean. We went to the pool twice while we were there and it's a good size and wasn't very crowded. They even have a fitness room which had a lot of different equipment. We didn't visit the restaurant there but did take advantage of other places within walking distance. Would stay here again next time we visit Springfield.

I am going to go through the bullet points below. 1. I ended up on the 3rd floor as a diamond member 2. The staff seem to argue with each other alot. 3. The plumbing kind of worked sometimes 4. Housekeeping is less than pristine - you don't want to know . 5. I did not complain to the front desk for fear of what they might do next. 6. My colleague who was on 12th floor could not get his room to cool , they offered to open a window ( It was 97 degrees outside ) . He complained onsite enough for... Read more

I went to Springfield for business and had the opportunity to stay at the Doubletree. My experience of Doubletree is that it can be hit or miss but this was a hit. My secretary reserved two suites but there was a mixup and only one was booked. The front desk clerk without even telling me corrected it and put me in the Presidential Suite. Rooms were ok nothing special. DO NOT eat breakfast here the service and food were awful. I was a party of one there were tables open all over the restaurant and I had to wait to be seated while the "waiter" ran around like a chicken with his head cut off. He poured my coffee and never came back to see if I wanted "cooked to order eggs" of more coffee. The food was cold and not fresh. I would have gotten better service at McDonalds than here.

Stayed at this location for an event in Springfield. The location was ideal, however the hotel is starting to show its age and the service is average. For example, I valet parked my car each day and had to park it, as well as walk out to my car before getting the keys. I'm still questioning why I spent $13 a day for valet parking?

This hotel is walking distance of all the downtown sites. We spent the weekend during the Mother Road meeting with the old cars. Although this weekend brings many people to downtown Springfield, this hotel is in a great location and they seem to handle the crowd well.

I's a clean, pleasant and quiet place to stay. Not any restaurants for a lite meal in walking distance though. It is located next door to the convention center and a block away from the old capital building. Self parking is available for $6.00 a day.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Check in was very quick, Christopher and Sonja were very friendly and welcoming. The valet was friendly as well. Valet is worth the charge since parking isn't very easy here. The room was clean and nice, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could use some updating but it was just fine. The only issue we encountered was the toilet ran a lot over night, not a huge deal though. We did get the breakfast package and the breakfast here was way beyond the usu... Read more

Arrived late after flying into Springfield. Parking was unknown. There are signs for valet but after waiting and no one showing up I went across the way to a large parking deck. Does not mention that it is not attached or is not affiliated to the hotel. Of course parked and found out elevator is not working in garage (not a hotel issue but just added to my frustration). Once in hotel front desk folks were once again not real happy or pleasant. This has become more and more the norm. Following d... Read more

The location to any business you might have downtown is excellent. Finding the parking is a bit difficult at first, as is figuring out how to pay to get out. The hotel really needs to offer a way to pay upon departure. Checking in was unusually difficult. Normally, being a Hilton Honors customer, I pre-check in then go to the desk, get my card and I'm off to the room. I arrived around 4:30 PM and it took the gentleman nearly 10 minutes to get me checked in and I was the only customer at the f... Read more

20th annual stay w/ golf group and this was the best one. From group sales to check-out, the Doubletree PAL team did an outstanding job. We didn't even need to call the shuttle this year because he was ready to pick us up! The guys can't wait for number 21!!

I don't know when this hotel became a Doubletree, but having stayed at a number of other Doubletree Hotels, I found this one far below what I'm accustomed to. In fact, many things about the Abraham Lincoln were puzzling to me. Arranging for the shuttle to pick me up when I arrived was a difficult process (and I ultimately ended up taking a taxi). Once I got to the hotel, and in fact, throughout my stay, I found the staff was very friendly; but they were not especially proactive. If there was... Read more

Used the hotel facilities for our annual engineering conference and it couldn't have gone better. Excellent spaces, staff was courteous and accommodating, rates were great for both the conference rooms and the block of hotel rooms. Location in downtown area is within walking distance of a multitude of different stores, shops, bars, and significant sites. Parking garage attached to hotel makes it easy for conference guests and helps them feel secure. We'll definitely be back in the future!

Nice stay, good breakfast, and friendly staff. My only complaint is the poor condition of the treadmills in the exercise room. I like the location but the parking seems a little confusing and forced. The hotel appears to be a boutique but the rooms seem a little of the same across the hilton brand. Id like to see a little more uniqueness in the design.

Welcoming front desk staff. Warm cookies upon arrival. If you have a car, save money by parking on the street on the weekends. Spacious lobby with water in the day and coffee in the am. Our room was high, spacious and comfortable - everything we requested. They let us check in early and leave late. Everything was within walking distance of the hotel. Great location. Bar was fun. Nice bartenders.

Great location for Lincoln sites! Looks of seniors as school was in session. Desk staff seemed a bit stuffy or stand offish. We had breakfast twice and dinner twice in the hotel. Both were very good and the wait staff were outstanding!!! Same could be said for housekeeping and the concierge. Had only a few hours to sightsee and would consider going back for a pleasure trip.

I recognize that service levels vary by the socio-economic condition of each community, however this hotel ranked well below the service levels of other Hilton properties in the same community. As a Doubletree hotel. I had expected to,be welcomed with the trademark cookie, but that did not happen although I learned that other guests had received them at checking. We wanted a hotel close to the attractions that Springfield has to offer. For a Hilton this hotel is very dated. The carpet in the elevator was worn and dirty. Staff was friendly on check in, got our cookie. Seems like this would appeal to more a business crowd. I found it sterile, rooms need updating. Door is all banged up on the bathroom door. Would not stay here again, parking breakfast....etc all extra.

A nice upscale hotel close to the visitor center and the Abraham Lincoln Museum. Not a long walk to the Lincoln Home National Park either. Room was very comfortable and clean. We did not choose valet parking, but in the end, decided that if one wanted to take one's car out during the day, it would probably make sense to spring for the valet because the self-park is in a municipal lot beside the hotel, and every time one takes one's car out, one has to pay. Parking is easy just pull in like you're going to valet and you can have a choice of valet or go straight through to self parking. Park on the bottom two levels use the elevator to take you up and then go through the door to the lobby. Very easy.
