The pool is an outdoor one so you can't use it in the winter. They lost our reservation and our keys constantly would just stop working. Breakfast was good, other Holiday Inn Expresses have had better ones, but I would go back because our trip was to shop at IKEA and it was very closely located. Overall it was a great stay.

STAY AWAY!!! This place has maids/service employees that steal from your room and then lie directly to your face. On the morning of our checkout we went to starbucks only to return to our room with some of our belongings missing. We reported this to the front desk clerk, Evilin, and she began the process of contacting house keeping. My wife actually went back up to the room to look a 2nd time and confronted the maid that was in there. She spoke enough English to my wife for her to tell her ... Read more

I stayed here for 3 nights for a business trip. It is located in a pretty nice area, about 30 minutes away from O'Hare airport. There is a sports bar within the same lot and some other restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. Pros: -Front desk staff were nice and friendly -There's a small snack stand in the lobby for purchases -Bed was comfortable Cons: -Housekeeping staff were quite loud in the morning and not very friendly. I prefer people to stay quiet and respectful while doing their job,... Read more

The people at Holiday Inn Express make it worth while. Julie in the mornings with her friendly smile, preparing the morning breakfast bar starts any day on the bright side. Then when you get in from a long day, there's Tom at the service desk ready to make your stay comfortable-from getting you more coffee for your room to a simple smile welcoming you back! Talking about a smile to brighten any day, There's Amanda at the 5pm mixer there to serve you a cold beverage and snack. Wow...Thank you Ash... Read more

We only stay at Holiday Inn's or Express. This one does not live up to there standards. The carpet in our room was ragged and coming up. Our room was on the fifth floor and it took 25 minutes for us to get hot water to our room. Once it came, it was adequate. The bath tub had a big chunk out of the porcelain. We saw the pool sign so we go up, put our suits on only to find out it was an out door pool. This is CHICAGO "really". It was 54 degrees out side. The people at the desk were friendly if w... This was a pretty good place to stay. Nicely tucked back in a quiet area but still close to the mall and shopping district. Only disappointment was their WiFi was broken. Otherwise, a great place to stay and good value for the money.

It has free breakfast buffet which serves steamed rice! Really nice for Asian like me who loves rice every meal! This hotel is next to Snuggery where they serve good bar food and need for a taxi or a driver if one has drink too many.

Was so excited they had an outdoor swimming pool.....took my kids on a weekend getaway and the outdoor pool was perfect for the 90 day it was. We checked into our room without even a welcome or what we were in town for by the clerk got in our swim suits head down stairs only to find out that the Pool wasn't open... Not even filled yet... Would of been nice to know this Before we checked in or the least the clerk could of mentioned this as we checked in....2 very disappointed kids for sure :( Sun... Read more

My husband and I stayed for one evening for a little get away weekend. We had a king size room and it was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable with 4 nice big comfortable pillows. It's very close to many good places to eat and shop. Breakfast was the usual offerings of hot and cold cereals, pancakes, eggs and sausage. We had a very nice stay and the staff was very friendly.

Found this hotel as a partner with Lego Land Discovery Center. It "included" tickets to the center, activity packs for the kids, hot breakfast, a pool...perfect for our mid-June vacation, I thought! We got there early and picked up our tickets (they were out of activity packs) and went to Lego Land. Afterward, we came back to check in to the hotel. Upon arrival in our room, we discovered there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. About an hour and a half later, it did show up via housekeepi... Read more

We were in town for soccer tournaments and this is where we were assigned to stay. Very clean hotel. Very friendly staff. Helpful and accommodating. The rooms were very small compared to other places we've stayed. I would stay again. Since we aren't familiar w the area we got information from front desk. VERY knowledgeable and friendly workers. Needed more towels and the housekeeping staff was very professional and friendly and got us more towels quickly.

Good aspects: Good value for the money, good breakfast - great staff member overseeing breakfast, good location, clean rooms (although very small). Frustrations: In my initial reservation, I had reserved for 3 adults and 1 child (15). There was an extra $10 per night charge for the extra adult. As the time approached,my adult daughter was unable to join us on this leg of our vacation. When I checked in, I told the desk attendant that we would only have two adults and one child. I asked him... Read more

What a great visit. There are so many little details that make this hotel stand out from the rest. I have stayed here in the past. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted by my first name a genuine welcome back. There was even a bottle of water and a granola bar in the room with a thank you note. They take the time to treat each guest as their number 1 priority. It's the people that make the difference at this hotel. Thank you!

We chose the hotel because of the location and the price. The hotel room was above average but the downstairs lobby area was very dirty. We had to take two hairdryers back because they did not work and made the attendant actually test the third before we took it. Was a hassle when you are trying to get ready in the morning to meet a schedule and appliances do not work.

Hotel rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. But, the best part of this experience was the person at the front desk. Donald went way out of his way to get me a refund from another booking site that took my reservation. I really can't say enough about the way Donald handled my situation. He did a terrific job in getting me a refund. This is the best hotel with the best people in the area. Will certainly stay there again.

I booked here with a soccer tournament. When we checked into the room we immediately discovered blood on the sheets and used towels and just a dirty room. We were disgusted and immediately checked out. We will be staying at another hotel and will warn all our other soccer team members to choose elsewh

Not sure if it's just the "norm" for Chicago (a city I really don't like) or not, but this hotel totally let me down based on what I expected from other Holiday Inn Express stays I've had this year. When we arrived, I noticed the front walkway into the hotel was damaged, dirty, and not well kept. My first red flag, as I'm used to these hotels being nicely maintained. Check in was efficient and friendly. I had asked for an upper floor and was given 4th. Wish it was 6th, but no big deal. Ele... Read more

Stayed here with our three year old for one night. Very clean and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was hot and delicious too. Only downfall is no indoor pool. Pool was closed. We still enjoyed everything else and will be back.

I have stayed in this hotel when on business in Schaumburg. I have stayed several times. The rooms are well appointed and have everything I need, they are huge !! The staff are extreme friendly and always happy to pass on information, directions etc The hotel is in a good location too, plenty of eateries etc about. Breakfast is a disappointment but the coffee is good !!!

This hotel is a lot like every other HIE I've been too. The exception is the staff is really nice. Nearly everyone (with the exception of the lady who works the front desk during the day who would rather talk on her cell phone that serve you) is very nice and welcoming. The rooms are large and functional. The gym is fine for tread mill work and some light lifting. The morning breakfast has healthy items and a few garbage items. Location is great if you need to be out near this part of Chicago.

I went for a random trip to the Chicago suburbs. The hotel was close to restaurants and shopping which was great! The employees were great and friendly. The rooms and lobby was clean and the breakfast was good. would definitely stay there again.
