Nice hotel , updated interior. Breakfast had enough verity . Room had a balcony . Clean . Beds were not that comfortable but ok. We were in just overnight. Our friends stayed for 5 days and liked it too. Would recommend it and stay there again.

Lots of things close by. Room was bigger than I expected. I think the property may have been a different brand at some point, as it was different than any other HI Express I've stayed in. Even still, it had everything I've come to expect from the brand. Check-in was quick and friendly. This location even had an evening 'reception', which consisted of an appetizer and beverages (water, pop, beer). Something I hadn't seen before at an HIE. I had one nagging issue....none of the outlets on a... Read more

Spotless property with a better-than-average breakfast buffet. Good value for the money. Convenient location - the only downside is that there's no easy way to make a left turn onto Algonquin Road from the hotel. Also note that this hotel is tucked behind a standard Holiday Inn, so it can be a little tricky to find.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week while on business. When you drive in you need to be sure whether your booking is with 'Holiday Inn' or 'Holiday Inn Express'. The Express is tucked away behind the Holiday Inn... Save yourself the hassle of parking up, unloading your luggage and going into the lobby to check-in only to be told you need to be 200 yards around the corner...If there was a sign to point this out I didn't see it. Good stuff - they upgraded me to a suite! - bed comfortable -... Read more

I was here for 2 nights on business. The front desk staff was polite and efficient. The room was very comfortable and clean. I like that breakfast is included. Also for the weekdays there is a free happy hour with appetizers in the breakfast area. Very welcomed after a long day of meetings.

The hotel is nice and clean, recently remodeled, but missed a few details like painting the doors and replacing the hardware. The breakfast was one of the better Holiday Inn Express spreads that I have seen. Overall a good value for the money, weekend nights for IHG gold member of $102 + taxes

This is a nice hotel within a close distance to shopping and great places to eat. Check in was problem free and our room was very clean and a good size. Hotel offered good FREE Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast which was really nice too. Hotel also has guest laundry which is located on top floor. Don't make our mistake and go there only to find you need to pop back to reception for powder and change. If in Chicago again, I would stay here again.

Expect the same breakfast choices day after day after day after day....no variety whatsoever. The services staff (maids, etc) are fabulous, the management not so much. Owners are very unprofessional and treat customers poorly. Air conditioning didn't work either - which is not fun on a 95 degree day. Skip this hotel - for the price you can get much better in the Schaumburg area

I stayed here for a couple of nights when my flights were cancelled. Checked in late at night with a shuttle load of likewise tired and disgruntled people who alos had their flights cancelled. Ronald at front desk handled the clients extremely well. He was fast, efficient and helpful, and made the process smooth after a long and rough day for all of us. The rooms are standard but clean. The breakfast was good. Had a variety of items. We really appreciated the laundry since our luggage was sent h... Read more

Reading the reviews here- I think many have the wrong hotel or are reviewing the holiday inn up front not the express! We stayed last night and truly enjoyed it. No hot tub on premises so those reviews are wrong! Staff was top notch!!! Room was clean and breakfast had a great selection. Attending a wedding nearby and shuttle was hooked and front desk arranged and paid for a taxi. Will never forget the service from Jessica and Denny at the desk. Super friendly and helpful. Yes, it's an older ho... Read more

We stayed here and their adjacent traditional Holiday Inn which boasts a family atmosphere and pools. The staff in the restaurant was great! Don't stay if you have kids. Many safety concerns. There is no kids pool. They have a single indoor pool with the swallow part being over 3' deep. They also have 1 indoor hot tub which is over 3' deep. Front desk and management are very rude. The shower leaked and the wall next to the bed was warpped and moldy. Loose wires and missing caps on control boxes ... Read more

I was placed at the Holiday Inn Express Rolling Meadows after a flight connection was missed, and the airline provided a voucher and sent us to wait for a shuttle. Apparently the same vouchers went to hundreds of travelers at once, and the tiny hotel shuttle van could not accommodate more than 10-15 people once each hour for a round-trip ride that took an hour. Eventually after a more than three hour wait I was forced to give up on the van and tired of fighting for a seat with other desperate ... Read more

I'll start by saying that everyone there was very friendly and our check-in was a breeze. The breakfast was kind-of hit and miss but was okay for your standard hotel offering. Nothing really fancy but they had a pretty good selection so it could've been worse. But, I think that I will look elsewhere the next time I'm in town due to the condition of the hotel and the rooms once you get past the front desk and lobby area. Basically, it's a decent place but our room was rough around the edges and t... Read more

The experience was horrible. I booked online and the confirmation said to call for pick up. I called three times before someone would pick up the phone. Then it was picked up and the receiver laid on the desk as I could hear everything but no one spoke to me. I hung up and called again. I was assured the shuttle would be there in 10-15 minutes. I ran to catch the shuttle and it did not arrive, I questioned another Holiday Inn driver, he said the shuttle drove right by and never stopped. A... Read more

I booked eight rooms for a family reunion at this hotel. It was also for a memorial service for one of our cousins. The staff was incredibly helpful and extremely friendly through the whole process. I would highly recommend this hotel for any stay in the rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights area.

Arrived early but was allowed to check in by friendly reception. Room was large with comfy bed, large tv and plenty of storage. AC worked well. Small fridge was ok and coffee was drinkable. Bathroom was as you would expect. Shower ok if you are shorter than 6'. No issues with housekeeping either. Minor observations / improvements would be having an in room safe and better lighting. Room was quite dark. Used the swimming pool which was ok but was not clear where the towels were. Food ... Read more

Very clean, Very nice people, GREAT PRICE! Highly recommend. Very comfortable, Safe place, Great Breakfast! I will book here again. Conveniently located near restaurants and the highway. Easy to get to. Though not sure why they built this building behind a regular Holiday Inn.

When we arrived we were greeted immediately by Ronald. What a nice and professional man! He was so helpful to us our entire trip and went above and beyond for us. There was also a gal that helped us in the morning that was wonderful as well but I forgot her name unfortunately! She helped us with the shuttle to and from the hotel and made sure they were there to pick us up as we had indicated a time of pick up!! so thank you to her and Ronald for a wonderful stay at this hotel! Booked this hotel online at IHG website. Upon check out I found out that this hotel doesn't honor the parent company prices. Original price was $99. They hit my credit card for $159. Ouch, not the cleanest hotel. Older with worn carpet. Door to room didn't fully close so had a stream of light coming in on the side of door. Too many options in the area to put up with the BAIT and SWITCH pricing and a little below average hotel. Stay somewhere else you will be better off and not have to hassle wit... Read more

First of all, I didn't get the gentleman's name but he was one of the greatest receptionists I've ever met. He checked us in and checked us out the next day, super polite person, made my day great. The breakfast was pretty good too, had sausages, egg scrambles, cereals, pancakes, breads, fruits, even japanese miso soups. I enjoyed my stay.

Avoid this location if you can. Guests are greeted with the overwhelming stench of mold in the lobby. They DO have a pool, but that does not account for that amount of odor. In the actual room we were greeted with cigarette burns on the bedding and hair and bits of trash in the shower. The Keurig mini was wet, not damp, wet...there was a 99% chance that was moldy, no coffee or tea for me. If you dared use the Keurig, you got to choose, did you want to use the fridge or the Keurig...there we... Read more

Don't get confused pulling into the parking lot, the first hotel you see in the Holiday Inn. You have to keep driving through the parking lot to get to the Holiday Inn Express. Really don't know why they're both right next to each other. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean. Breakfast had a pretty good selection too. It was the first hotel I saw that nifty automatic pancake maker. Highlight of my stay was that they had the pancakes till midnight promotion meaning they had the pancake ma... Read more

For an express hotel it is very nice and has a lot of accommodations. The hotel has a free area shuttle that will pick you up at the airport and back for free, which is an amazing feature, it saved $60 round trip. The staff made a mistake with booking the shuttle for us to take us to the train station so they paid for us to take a cab which was fantastic. It's close to the train but it is about a 45 min ride into the city. The hotel has a pool but to outdoors so closed in the winter. It has a li... Read more
