I stayed at this hotel for a business assignment a few days ago for two nights. The hotel facilities are adequate if not better. The carpets are worn and torn but the rooms are acceptably clean. Location is good as there are really no other viable choices in town, which is a small farming community in Souther n Illinois. The vigilance comes into it regarding checkin practices. The man who checked me in-the GM as he said that he was-actually scanned my State ID into his cmputer system. This ... Read more

I thought it was a little pricy for what was offered, the pool was messy with paint peeling off the walls and was cold, the breakfast was not much at all. Location was great what we needed. the room fine the shower curtain was about to fall off the wall. the maid service was very good.

Our softball team stayed here for a tournament in Duquoin. This is just an average hotel. The bedding is badly in need of updating. The bedding had holes in them! Breakfast was ok. Waffle maker, muffins, cereal, toast, bagels. The hallways smelled like smoke, however the rooms did not. The staff was friendly and courteous.

The property was extremely clean, no rust in the showers, i had a double bed non smoking room, the beds were small, but it was comfortable. The front desk clerk named Chelz was very personable, and she went above and beyond! Thank You Again Chelz. My baby Loved the swimming pool, and the work out facility.

The new manager of this hotel has really turned things around. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and everyone was very clean. It is a good place to stay for the price.

Got more than I expected. Clean, polite, gas station next door which helps for goods and extra lighting of parking lot. Cathy the receptionist was great! Planning on using this as my base for future work jobs in the area.

We had booked a king non-smoking room. When we got to the hotel to check in we were told that the room we were supposed to have was dirty, so they were going to put us in a queen, non-smoking. After hashing out the details, we went to the room only to find that the ac unit had mold growing in it, the remote control was caked with dirt around the keys, there was pink and black mold at the bottom of the shower curtain that was still wet at the bottom, and there was a used bar of soap in the shower... The hotel has no up keep taken on it. The room was dirty. There was a ring of dirt around the bottom of the shower curtain. The rod was falling off the wall. I grabbed a wash cloth for my shower and it was filthy dirty. We stayed 2 nights I wanted to leave after the first night. There's no other place to stay in this town. They came in and serviced our room after the first night and only left 2 towels and 2 wash clothes and they knew there were 3 staying in the room. They didn't even make the b... Read more

This hotel is in need of serious cleaning. The carpet in our rooms was filthy and didn't appear to have been vacuumed for quite a while. The walls were dirty. The bathroom was not clean. They were skimpy on towels. Breakfast was fair. Not much to choose from. If we had arrived earlier in the day we would not have stayed.

Do not waste your money staying here you will not get a good night sleep. The hotel is not clean, the blankets and mattresses had stains, there was a cigarette burn hole in another blanket, the outside doors did not lock. The carpet was not vacuumed, there were holes in the barhroom door. The roof was covered in a tarp and appeared to be that way quite sometime. The staff was disgruntled, openly complained about the owner/manager.

Pinkneyville is a small town so hotel accommodations are very limited. Entering our room at this establishment was like walking onto the set of Golden Girls. The white furniture was chipped and the bed pillows were not only flat but smelled funny. They obviously have not been replaced or washed in a very long time. It was bad enough that I sprayed cologne to kill the smell. I have done quite a bit of traveling over the years and this was a first! Other than that it was clean. I would only stay ... Read more
