Great experience, gracious staff, received free upgrade to VIP status which is a fantastic perk, close by to large mall area. Highly recommended. Room was very clean and also received free wi-fi. Enjoyed staying in the most quiet room I have ever stayed in.

Another one of those Marriotts with tiny bathrooms - literally it's a problem shutting the door! The rooms too are pretty mediocre. The worse thing about this Marriott is the noise. If you are looking for a quite place to stay - this isn't the one for you. I was there for 2 nights and had to deal with multiple weddings, a prom and ofcourse no parking! They really ought to have a designated area for hotel guests as it is pretty ridiculous and unfair finding parking miles away when you are st... Read more

GREAT PLACE. Lil drama in lobby with police but due to several proms and weddings. Would of never known if someone didn't tell me. They handled discreetly.. No disturbance to guests. Great job to their staff. Breakfast awesome. Service even better. Will stay again. And again. Mall across the street.

Very disappointed in this property. One expects so much more from a full-service Marriott Hotel than this property delivered. The bad experience started at the front door when, during a rainstorm, I found out there's no valet parking available and that I needed to park over 100 yards away from the front door. Needless to say I was soaking wet when checking in. Disappointments continued when entering the room we discovered the carpets were dirty and the bathroom looked like it had not been ... Read more

From the moment we checked in, staff members made extra effort to make our stay the best it could be. What is noteworthy is that the hotel was 100% full. Take the $10 voucher if you are platinum and enjoy the drinks in the bar area - they were terrific.

Nice location in Oak Brook right off I-88. Property is right across from Oak Brook Mall but is not in midst of that traffic. Quiet property even with wedding going on but you can still have a quiet time away from it all. Nice rooms and get up away from all of the bustle. Wit great weather nice time away. And easy to get to suburbs or Chicago locations.

I pre booked a month ago and got all that I requested. Since I was traveling from another country, I had a few items shipped to the hotel. The lady that checked me in had no problem looking for my items (very pleasant) and giving them to me and ensured that I had all of my packages (the bellman who assisted was also very nice). I had to get a room change because the a/c was not working in our first room. I accidentally left a bag of clothes in my previous room and when I called to inquire, nothi... Read more

I am a Marriott platinum member. It was an average Marriott stay. The hotel is located in an excellent location with easy access to the highways, shops and mall. The rooms are good size and beds were comfortable. Elevators and the common areas are not as clean as other Marriot properties. I am very disappointed with their breakfast buffet options. The breakfast buffet was not at par with the other Marriott properties. It was the buffet at Residence Inn + Omelet station. I will stay in this prop... Read more

A group of us booked this Marriott as we were in town for a concert. It is a basic nice Marriott, it was quiet during the week, but extremely busy on the weekend. There is a Starbucks onsite, but it is open extremely limited hours, which didn't make our folks particularly happy. We drank and ate in the restaurant and bar early in the morning and late at night. Bar has very limited food service, and doesn't really provide table service, but it's nice to be able to take your food outside to the pa... Read more

We were in town for an event at Soldier Field and did not want to pay the $300-$800 per night hotel rates in downtown Chicago. The Marriott in Oak Brook shuttled us over to Hinsdale where we caught the Burlington Northern to Chicago Union Station, which put us in the heart of the city. Train ride was only $5-7 or so. I rated this average because of the other nicer full service hotels in the area put this to shame. I have high standards so don't get me wrong this is not a dump, but just expected more. My husband and I decided to stay in Oak Brook for the weekend and decided on this location. The property looked good at first glance, but there are many areas in which improvements can be made. The 12th floor hallway had a terrible smell, it did not seep into the room. The fridge was not cold nor suggested for perishable items, so it didn't make sense for it to be in the room. We stayed in the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook recently and were disappointed overall even though there were a few bright spots. On the positive side, reception and staff were quite good. Ever have buyers remorse? After checking into the room with a total of 3 people we immediately wanted to leave. Hotel may be fine for individuals but the beds and bathrooms are too small for 3 or 4 guests.
