BEWARE! Lobby, entrance, rooms, and entire atrium area is under construction. Not what you expect in an Embassy Suites. My floor even had the construction office located in one of the guest rooms. The staff and management are tremendous. Our room was great. I wanted to give a realistic view of the construction. The staff is very honest at check in and very thoughtful and mindful about it. I have never stayed at a hotel with this much renovation going on, so like most when reading about it, you have no idea how much and noisy it is. My main point is that i was on a personal, family stay. If i was on a business stay where i sometimes work in my room during the day I would not be able t... Read more

I could handle the construction noise once I got into a room with a TV that worked and went into the bedroom, shut the door and chilled out. Construction dust in the room should have been cleaned up once construction ended or precautions should be used to prevent dust from entering the rooms. I was served pretzels and pita bread and tasteless hummus at the evening reception, nothing like I had at Embassy Suites on prior trips. Breakfast consisted of stale bagels and a small omelet.

This is an Embassy Suites that offers 1 room suites in addition to the normal 2 room suites. I did not know that and booked 2 of the 1 room kings by mistake. After I went up to the rooms and realized the error they could not find a regular room to switch us too. The night manager was very condescending and told me we are totally sold out tonight, so take it or leave.

This hotel is currently being rehabbed and the place is dusty and you walk through construction zone areas. Staff is very helpful and positive but room rates should be less due to the mess. Our room had an older bed and it was a poor quality mattress for what we are used to in that class of hotel so room rate should have reflected that. Again , hotel is being upgraded but we were definitely disappointed in the room and stay at this time.

My family and I visited this hotel for the 4th of July weekend. Most of the stay went by pretty good. Our room location was great with a view of the Chicago Skyline in the distance. Our only complaints were the disappointing breakfast (pretty mediocre) and the renovations, which I understand is to make the hotel better but, they aren't doing things gradually therefore 1/2 the hotel seemed to be off limits including the entrance and ENTIRE atrium. The room was fine, but the entire atrium is currently gutted and under construction. I'm sure it will be wonderful when it's finished. Also don't dally if you want full breakfast. We arrived at 8:30 (ends at 9) midweek and I was told that the bacon and fruit would not be replenished (they were empty). The shower was strong and hot and the beds were good. Everything else was average. The lobby was under construction. The room pretty old and used. The whole lower level seemed under construction with several rooms unavailable for occupancy. My room was great, a little noisy between 9-5 with the construction and slightly more dusty then expected. The facilities overall was what I expected but the breakfast area was smaller than usual, with more people, longer lines and longer wait times, and less selection than other Embassy Suites. So disappointed with this hotel....front desk staff very pleasant and rooms were great but that's where it stops; high profile auto mfg. event and I don't think they cared, over promised and under delivered, breakfast sub par and breakfast staff was rude. Business center computers down all weekend, Managers reception anything but.....watered down drinks and h'orsdorves not even close.....pita, pretzels and hummus give me a break, cold eggs, undercooked sausage and unprepared staff, won't stay he... I've written previous positive reviews on TripAdvisor about this hotel. My family and I (two parents, two teens) just stayed there again, and we had another very good experience. This time we stayed in a corner room on the eighth floor. Corner rooms are bigger, worth paying a little more to get. The only unhappy note about our room is that the WiFi signal was weaker than we would have liked. The overall facility is very nice (the lobby is being remodeled at present). The manager reception... Very nice for a conference. Hotel gave us a hospitality suite which was great for networking. Unfortunately it was just another room. We needed a full size frig. This particular location, Lombard Il, was a great spot. A lot of good restaurants nearby.

Beautifully renovated rooms that were comfortable and very clean. However, the amount of noise echoing from the atrium setting kept us awake well into the early morning hours. There were many teen boys there that weekend that were running up and down the hallway for many hours. Was hoping either parents or security would have quieted them down. Breakfast was very good but seemed to be very disorganized both mornings. Staff seemed to have a hard time keeping buffet items available and the om... Read more

I have wanted to stay in this hotel ever since I moved to Illinois 25 years ago because of the pretty aquamarine blue colors of it. I didn't realize that the beautiful color was going to be changed with the renovations so now everything is blah and boring brown. My husband and I checked in on a Friday night and wanted to use the pool before going to dinner but that was not happening because it was over run by children and teens meaning (and I'm not exaggerating) between thirty and forty combined... The hotel is under construction. There was no noise when we stayed during the weekend. But carpets downstairs were dirty. What really bothered us was the fact that our room which was spacious with extra sofa, dinning area and 2 tv's did not have a closet to hang our clothes! . Also the amenities in bathroom were half used. Breakfast was disappointing. It was located in a big room with very little choices of food.

Upon entering the lobby, the right side of the lobby was under construction. Thought that the hotel would be under construction and be a noisy stay. Was there 2 nights and the construction was limited to the lobby side only. Rooms were immaculate and recently renovated. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great with a very large selection. If you wanted hot or cold breakfast, ample choices for each. Great hotel and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was newly renovated and it showed. My room was completely clean (I am a stickler on this) and the service I received was excellent. The breakfast area had a range of offerings including: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, grits, breads, yogurt, and an omelet station.

I was extremely please with the bed and pillows. I fell straight to sleep. It was very comfortable. Plenty of room in the spacious suite. My husband could watch T.V. in the other room and the sound did not bother me. Great variety of food to pick from for breakfast, and it tasted good too.

This hotel was under construction. No restaurant and the room service food was terrible. Construction noise was often very loud in the room. Walkways to the parking lot were inaccessible due to the concrete being torn up in the only walkway from the hotel to the parking lot. Food served for the happy hours and breakfast was bad.

This hotel is newly renovated. Still doing a little construction so there was some noise in the morning. Rooms are nice. Wasn't as clean as I like but was ok. When we went to breakfast there didn't seem to be enough food but there were a lot of people staying there. Maybe just need to prepare food based on number of people occupying the hotel.

Internet issues. I had premium internet service but it did not work in my room. Only able to connect in common areas. Shower broke twice during my stay. Both times fixed right away but still shouldn't break. Room was great. Breakfast was great. Evening reception was good. Overall a decent hotel but they need to fix issues to be top notch.

A fantastic hotel with clean, comfortable, and inviting rooms, with a super friendly staff, that always serve with a smile. Although some of the hotel is under renovation, the staff and contractors do a good job to distract you from the goings on. There is little to no mess nor disruption. The hotel shuttle is well organized and easy to use. The happy hour and breakfast that's included with your stay makes the trips away from home a little bit easier. The rooms are fantastic and clean with ve... Read more

Food options were less than desirable and nothing fresh or healthy offered. The cocktail reception had horrible selections. Wine had to be the cheapest available and beer, only 2 brands to offer. Snacks were cheap.

I really love the new look of the hotel. My stay was short but I will definitely be staying again soon. I love the amount of space the rooms provide. I really believe this is the best value for the money.

I have always stayed at Embassy Suites for many years, and refused to stay elsewhere. Understanding renovations were going on, I tried the Hilton Suites ( which was great), and decided to wait until work was done. Well, my stay at Embassy finally came, All suites renovated, Atrium done, ( still working on restaurant). First, I miss the greenery, and tropical feel of the Atrium. New design is modern, but not so welcoming. The suite was beautiful( corner suite) and spacious. The pool area di... Read more

Very nice hotel, they were doing construction but I heard nothing and they were not in the way, I can't wait until the restaurant/bar is open for next year. We have stayed for 4 years now and I would not stay anywhere else in the area.

Still under construction but the new remodel is beautiful! What was once a pretty dated hotel is now modern and clean, love the d├ęcor. Nice to have the complimentary happy hour, looking forward to seeing the new bar area when it's complete!

I've stayed here many times, both before, during & now post-renovation. The improvements are impressive & include complete room do-overs with all new appointments, furniture & bathroom conversion to walk in showers (at least in our room). It would be worth requesting such with full glass enclosures. The "Manager's Reception" & breakfast-to-order areas are all-new, modern & fresh. The exercise room includes new machines & more of them.
