I wouldn't make this my first choice next time. The rooms were fine and comfortable, but it was one thing after the other that made it unpleasant. Service could definitely improve. I went to the Bistro at 5:30 (it opened at 5) and the guy wad obviously annoyed that I was there and told me he couldn't get to me right away. I told him not to worry and take his time, but he made me feel like I was a nuisance being there. Oh. I was the ONLY one there! I ended up leaving and going somewhere else to e... Read more

Ka-bumping long the aged Skyway we smell Gary and then Chicago looms through the haze off in the distance to our right. The roads merge together and eventually we spin out along the Kennedy and then the Edens to this Marriott at Lake Cook Road. Itâ??s a sweet spot just down the road from the upscale Northbrook Mall, near Ravinia and the Botanic Gardens. Skokie Blvd. intersects Lake Cook Road at this spot too. There are several restaurants along Skokie Blvd. as one heads south towards Winnetk... Read more

Two nights of three, well past midnight, your room smoke alarms come alive with lights and alarms that override any snooze alarm and jolt you out of a sound sleep and into emergency mode. The café chef abruptly walks off the job mid-week. And this Marriott Courtyard is still the gold standard for road travel? Well, yes, it is, because it still matters where you are (and with whom you are staying) when such unexpected, human events happen. Any kind of travel, even at the allowed speed limit, ... Read more

Given that this hotel is surrounded by busy roads, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet my courtyard-facing room was. Room was comfortable and well-appointed, shower was nice, powerful spray and plenty of hot water

The courtyard side room was nice and quiet and staff very pleasant at front desk. Beautiful weather meant that guests were very happy to have a reading area in the sun on comfortable furniture in the "courtyard". Location of the hotel is easy to get on and off the highway to Chicago (but note if you are looking to take the highway south, use the back exit of the hotel so that you can get to the highway entrance easily as the front entrance is right turn only). Room was very nice and AC/Heat was ... Read more

our staff meet in the conference room this morning. It was set up perfectly. Nicole did a great job. There was a big white board, along with the dry erase. Plenty of fresh coffee, hot water and tea. Fresh squeezed orange juice as well. Room and staff were perfect. We will be back!

Courtyard Highland Park is the perfect hotel to stay at If you are going to a concert at Ravinia! My friend and I arrived around 4:45 PM at the Courtyard, got our room, and headed to the hotel shuttle service that takes you right to the gate of Ravinia. Parking is free at the hotel as is the shuttle. The shuttle has enough room in the trunk if you are bringing chairs or a cooler. At the end of the concert you simply meet outside of Ravinia at a nearby coffee shop and the shuttle will come ba... Read more

My husband and I had a great stay at the Courtyard Highland Park. We chose this hotel because it is the only one that offers a shuttle to Ravinia. This made our evening much more enjoyable, since we didn't have to worry about transportation. Our room was clean, roomy, although the standard "no fee" internet was a bit sluggish. Overall, a great stay!

Stayed there for one night. Basic hotel. Room was comfortable but walls a bit thin; heard people talk in a room next door, friendly staff and a Starbucks like coffee shop at the hotel. Decor needs a bit of upgrading. Convenient to freeways.

Stayed with my grandson when he was going to Camp Jam, It was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. There is some road construction going on around the hotel but it didn't affect us.The staff was nice. Wish they had offered breakfast would have made this a perfect stay. This hotel is one block from the Train station, didn't know that till almost the last day! There are lots of restaurants and shopping within a mile or two. It was about 12-15 minutes from O'Hare Airport... Read more

The room was very nice. We were there to attend a concert at Ravinia and stayed overnight. The hotel is clean and up to date. It was convenient with the shuttle to the venue... however they need a new system to get people back after the concert! Much confusion and we waited 1 hour. Will not do again sorry!

We'd booked to stay at this hotel only one night, which turned out to be a good thing. We had a room on the ground floor near the pool. The room had an ever so slightly moldy smell, but I have a sensitive nose--my husband didn't notice it. However, we both felt that the bed -- some sort of pillow top arrangement -- was a little too soft. The breakfast was sort of half freshly made (2 eggs over easy for me) and half prefab (espresso was made with suspiciously lightning speed). Parking was co... Read more

We were seeing the Chicago symphony at Ravinia park and stayed the night. The hotel was close by and provided shuttle service too and from the park which was great because parking there is a mess. Clean comfortable room.

Rooms are kind of dark and dated. Price is right. Good location. Place is just so so. Nice enough but nothing special. Free wifi but it was slow. Bet paid wifi was faster. Can forego housekeeping for points.

This is your typical Marriott - Courtyards, but with great amenities. Staff was extremely helpful (especially Crystal). Car rental place (Hertz) is right across the street) Shuttle service was extremely convenient. We used it for Ravinia and the Botanical Gardens. Note that driving into and out of this hotel does have some slight challenges.... best to cut through the gas station next door.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay here while visiting family. The staff were all friendly and attentive to our needs and requests. We came and went at all hours and always felt safe and secure. The room was comfortable and everything worked fine with no issues. Enjoyed breakfast twice in the Bistro and Nicole was always smiling and providing prompt service. I would consider staying here next time I visit the area.

We were visiting friends in Highland Park/Northbrook and stayed a the Courtyard. This is older place but it has been refurbished. The beds are good and restaurant/café is sufficient, even though the selection is limited. There was a indoor pool too, but we didn't have time to try it out. Had to swap room because of the loud traffic. Check this out when you book. Quick and helpfull staff. Free onsite parking, which was appreciated.

The hotel seems newly remodeled. Our room is very nice and very quiet. The 4 is for the pool which had wwwaaaayyyyyy too much chlorine in it. The staff was very friendly and everything is well kept. The location seems to be very nice too.

Should be called Courtyard Graveyard. Beds way too soft, bugs crawling in first floor room bathroom! Just seems old! Rates are higher than other better hotels in area! Stayed there for the past two years for business but wont go again. Stopped in a new Sheraton about 5 miles away and was shocked! Huge bathrooms with glass shower enclosures and beautiful rooms! Would have changed hotels but it was totally booked!

This is an older hotel, but was clean and pretty well kept up. In an area close to good shopping and dining. A pretty well-to-do area in general, based on the high end car dealerships and financial businesses in the vicinity. When we checked in, the staff at the desk was already dealing with another customer. She left with that customer without acknowledging us at all. Another person came from the back and spoke with a maintenance person without asking us if we needed help. Finally, she ca... Read more
