Plan for the worst but still expect the best from the front desk staff. But once you get past check-in, you'll have a relaxing stay. If you're an HHonors Gold or Diamond Member, don't expect much. It's bad when the clerk refuses to give you snacks and keeps murmuring: "Don't forget Hampton Inn 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!" It was up there like the service purported at the VA Hospitals and the condescending: "Thank you for your service!"

We stayed here for one night while traveling. Close enough to St. Louis that this was a very good alternative to the higher prices of the city. Great location with plenty of local shopping and eateries. The Front Desk (shame on me for forgetting the names) was one of the friendliest and most professional I have encountered at any hotel. This is a somewhat smaller Hampton Inn but rooms are still up to standard with a good breakfast. Good location. Staff very friendly an helpful. Lots of good restaurants close and also easy access to St Louis.

Although the room was very nice, I booked a room with a sofa sleeper but instead I got a regular room. Since I was by myself I didn't see any reason to complain. In my future stays I would like to receive the room that I book.

Small guest rooms. Breakfast items could have been better. Lobby of this hotel is very small. Unfortunately construction was taking place during the stay so it was very loud during the daytime. Atleast th construction ended at 5pm.

Being an amputee and having a traveling companion who uses a walker, it was alost impossible to get into the lobby because the entryway is so steep. It took two men to help my friend into the lobby. Not for senior citizens or the disabled.

Great location for a Hampton Inn on the IL side, close to St Louis. Rooms are clean and comfy. Great variety of choice for the complimentary breakfast. Fitness Center, Indoor pool with hot tub. Great for unwinding and my daughter enjoyed pool.

Whenever I travel, I always try to stay at A Hampton. You cannot beat the friendly staff. They are always professional and courteous. The staff is very accommodating and will go out their way to make you comfortable. The breakfast menu could be better but you can't beat the cookies if you're able to get some before they are gone.

I thought this would be a good location because the Kiwanis meeting was going to be just down the street. I ended up on the end of the building closest to the freeway and the window was terrible in the room and it was extremely loud. Used a bath towel to fill the gap between the two windows and that didn't help. Room was 314. To their credit, I was changed for the next night to 202 on the other end of the hotel and it was much quieter the next night. Breakfast was the regular hotel fare.

First, the staff person who greeted us was quite nice and accommodating. However, our selected room smelled of cigarette smoke, as did the second room we were given albeit not as much as the first. Very few rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. We had a half used roll of toilet paper with no spare. Most concerning was the consistent level of noise from traffic from a well used thoroughfare all night. If in this area again, we would definitely seek a room elsewhere.

Very Comfortable. Staff was very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. My room very clean. I had a sound night sleep. Breakfast was very good. Location was perfect for a quick night sleep, then back on the road!!

Fresh apples and banannas made for happy mornings. Breakfast was decent. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Experienced so noisy HVAC cleaning during my stay because I had an unusual sleep schedule. Staff was nice and parking available. Good place to commute from either to Scott or downtown

Very nice, clean hotel. Friendly service from front desk and the cafeteria. Breakfast was very good. The grab & go bags were very thoughtful. I liked everything about the stay. I especially liked the well lit bathroom. Hard to put makeup on in a dimly lit room. In fact this was the best lit bathroom I have ever stayed.

We frequently stay at this Hampton Inn when visiting family and the St. Louis Cardinals. The location is close to the highway which makes for a quick trip to downtown St. Louis. The hotel is very clean, a full breakfast with good food, and very friendly staff.

I will never stay at the Hampton Inn again unless I get a full refund because I was charged for my stay at your hotel and the Hilton garden inn because of an error in the Hilton garden inns CSR/system and the Hampton inns rooms were dirty and nothing went right while we were there, just read my comments in the other portion of this review.

Hampton Inns have been my first choice when traveling for more than 25 years, so booking the Fairview Heights Hampton Inn & Suites for a five day stay while visiting family over the 4th of July weekend was a no-brainer. Our suite was as expected; comfortable and roomy. However, the amenities failed to meet expectations. We normally eat breakfast between 9-10 am. On two of the five days, there was no fruit available. Excellent place to stay while traveling by car. The location of the hotel is good, right off the highway and next to several restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had several choices including hot items.

Stayed here recently with family. The employees were all very friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The lobby and entrance needed attention. Several times during our stay there was trash literally overflowing in all the garbage cans in the lobby and front entrance. I would stay here again, but hope that housekeeping staff cleans up the front and lobby better.

It was clean, the staff was responsive. The fitness center is better than average. The pool was closed for repairs. They only have refrigerators in the suites and there is only one ice machine which is on the first floor, we were on the third floor. We were located on the side next to the interstate and the traffic noise was loud and constant. The wi-fi was inconsisten. It is not on my list for a return stay.

We stayed at this Hampton Inn about 10 days ago. Our room was very clean and quiet. The bathroom looked newly redecorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a delightful surprise to find dark roast coffee and fresh raspberries with the breakfast. The hotel is very close to downtown St. Louis and there are many restaurants near hotel.

It was an OK stay for a night stay. Not a bad stay if you're only staying for a night and passing through. If you're considering a long term stay, I would reconsider. The staff was excellent, but the noise from outside is somewhat bothersome. However, some people might not care. The food, just go down earlier than everyone else because it is a small eating area.

Had blood stains on the sheets, water smelled terrible, pool wasn't working and had green water and hotel was overpriced. I will never stay at this special hotel again. I am a HHonors member and have always had a good exp at their hotels until now.

My family and I had a semi extended stay of 4 days. The staff was so friendly, especially to my little boys. Definitely a great affordable place to stay. A couple of little quirks that would help someone else staying. The key card locks are very very temperamental. You have to do it just right(slowly). There is no washer and dryer on property. I had a quiet, relaxing and refreshing stay. I slept well, shower was great, although the ice machine coulda been on my floor, but other than that, I'd stay there again and refer my friends as well. Internet was fast too.

My family and I woke up with bug bites all over us and the room smelled like marijuana had been smoked in it. The rooms weren't cleaned and trash wasn't taken out the next day. I stay at Hamptons all the time for business and this was the worst stay I have had.

The staff at this hotel are great. It is a little more tired looking than some of the Hampton Inns and they don't have the lap boards in the room that you use for your computer if you are sitting in the bed. The front doors don't automatically open when you approach so you have to push a handicapped button. But the food is always good and plentiful and the area clean. Pleasant hotel but not overly extravagant. Not enough handicap parking. Wasn't met as HHonors members. Asked for couple of complimentary waters and received only 1. Breakfast was very good with choice of hot and continental. Overall stay was ok.

I stayed here because of the rate difference in downtown St. Louis, not a bad rate here. It's close to the interstate but it didn't bother me. Bed was comfy and breakfast was good. Close to many restaurants in Fairview Heights.

Passing thru on our way to Charlestown SC my wife and I stayed one night. It was very clean, comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is always nice. Lots of variety to choose from, so if traveling with kids which we were not but there's something there for them to eat that they would like.

My family stayed at this hotel overnight after attending a family wedding. We were very pleased with the hotel accommodations and the staff. Check in was fast and easy as I made reservations using the Hilton honors website. I used my reward points to pay for the room, and we were able to check in an hour early with no problems. Excellent staff! Only draw back is that standard rooms do not have a mini-fridge. Did not eat breakfast here, BUT is looked EXCELLENT, better than other facilities we have stayed at. The in had a renovation several years ago and it is still in excellent shape.

This property is really excellent! I can't give it a 10 because the windows adjacent to the highway are not triple-paned. Therefore, you hear the continuously noise of the tractor trailers at all hours of the day and night. Other than that it is excellent. The king size bed is overly generous. It is longer and wider than most. The décor of the room was very modern and it gave you a cozy feeling. Impressed with this hotel. Many excellent restaurant choices within short walking distance. The rooms were spacious. As we were in the elevator getting ready to leave a staff member asked if everything was okay with the rooms and hotel. Liked the microwave and fridge in the room.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It also had easy access to a good restaurant. The bed was just right. My room was a bit noisy because it faced the Interstate, but the fan overcame that. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. I wish it had been easier to connect to the Internet.

Lovely Staff, Here on Business each week and the staff are consistently friendly. I'm welcomed by name and offered water or snacks. If I have questions they are answered in a courteous way with a smile. It a great place to be away from home. I'm confident in the cleanliness and enjoy the breakfast a lot. There are little snack bags waiting for you when you leave for the day. Highly recommend this hotel for business travelers.

I was totally shocked at this hotel. I am not sure if I missed the reviews or just ignored them, but this hotel is very dingy and and in need of remodeling. The room was clean and I have no complaints about that but I stay at Hamptons all the time and this one does not come close to meeting the bar.

I booked two rooms for my daughter's 10th birthday party with a reservation that we would require adjoining rooms or at least rooms next door to each other. When we arrived at check-in the rooms were not done and we were told that all of the adjoining rooms had people stay overnight (which means they sold our reservation) and they didn't even have any double queen rooms available next to each other either. The young lady never acknowledged I was there and never looked at me even when I spoke to her. I'm a Hilton Honors member and was treated like I was bothering her cause I wanted to check in. Sad because otherwise the property was nice as was the cleaning lady.
